Traveler's Retreat: Your Refuge In the Old Town

Home was beautifully decorated and within walking distance to everything, even the river area. Kroger is couple blocks away. Jack was especially helpful when one family member was having medical issues. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved Savannah and staying in the Traveler's Retreat! Its location was great and enabled us to walk to many sites and restaurants. Street parking was easy! The house was welcoming with lovely decor and wonderful photographs. Every indoor inch was impeccably clean. Everything we needed was available; we didn't do any cooking but the kitchen was well stocked. We just ate a few quick breakfasts, lunches and snacks here (what we brought from home). The beds were comfy and linens were fresh and bright, very much appreciated after walking the gorgeous squares and neighborhoods of Savannah. Closets allowed us to hang most clothes. A long table in the dining area gave us the space to play games/cards during a little down time, as we did on the one rainy afternoon we experienced.The small backyard is charming with its jasmine wall and nestled table and chairs. We were surprised at how quiet the vibrant neighboorhood was, both day and night. Jack was a super host and communicated attentively. It was nice to meet him one afternoon when he was working outdoors at the house, as we were leaving for Tybee Island.Tybee Island is a must see/do, a sweet little beach town, minutes away. I was able to get my soft-shell softies crabs at Stingray Restaurant there. Many great restaurants await you in Savannah. We enjoyed Public Kitchen & Bar, Crystal Beer Parlor and The Olde Pink House. Wonderful stay, property was very clean and decorated with art and natural materials exactly as we would wish. The host friendly and helpful. We had no problems with parking and moved our car as suggested by the host. Particularly appreciate the excellent lighting, good for reading and rarely found in rental properties. Also appreciated the wooden floors, nice area rugs and sweet front porch. We could walk everywhere and just a quick 1/2 mile walk to the grocery store. We hope to come back and stay here again.

Just as advertised! Clean, quiet 2 bedroom home, within the historic district. Easy walk to parks, museums, and strolling through the district. About a 20 minute walk to the river district, which was fine for us. There's also a free shuttle that picks up a couple of blocks away

We had a great stay here. The house was lovely. We had everything we needed and it is located in a quiet area, but still close enough to everything to walk. Parking was easy and we had no issues checking in.

We had a wonderful stay. We were able to meet up there with my brother and his wife to celebrate his and my birthday!The location was perfect. However, we should have taken an Uber for going downtown and to River Street. The parking fees were ridiculous. Thank you so much, we had a great stay!

Great host and great property! Cute house and cute area. Great front porch. Plenty of towels, coffee, toilet paper, and other things. Plenty of street parking in front of the house. Easy walk to Forsyth Park. We Ubered to River St but Ubers were cheap. Would stay again!

The property was even better than the pictures. It was close to a lot of attractions and we were able to walk a lot and not worry about parking.

Great place to stay for a girls weekend! All of the comforts of home. Plenty of room to spread out and easy walk to the historic district.

We originally booked the house for us and another couple. Our friends had to cancel, so it was just my husband and myself. The location was excellent to explore Savannah. We walked everywhere. It was really close to Forsyth Park, Mrs. Wilkes, Mercer House, and Kroger. It was a hike to downtown, but not an issue. The beds were extremely comfortable. The dining table would have been great for games. There could be more seating in the living room. I liked sitting on the front porch, but it could use some sprucing up. We really enjoyed our stay!

Highly recommend this place. It was clean, spacious, and worth the price. It was a little far to walk to some stuff but Ubers were cheap. Great place and I would stay here again.

Overall it was the perfect spot to stay and a central location to walk around and explore Savannah

Property was very cozy and clean, great location as advertised. Great central base for all of our Christmas activities with family in the Historic District. Bungalow has everything a traveler needs to be comfortable away from home. Host was great!

Loved this adorable property! Our family had a fantastic trip! The location was fabulous and close to everything. The home was super cute with historic character while still having excellent lighting, great working AC, SUPER comfortable beds, and a nice smell (no old house smell) here. We fit our family of 6 comfortably (we brought a blow up air mattress for our youngest and it fit great on the bedroom floor). The kids all enjoyed the backyard space as well! Neighbors were friendly (and quiet!) as were the neighborhood roaming cats. Would highly recommend!
