Perfect in-town location, walkable to shops and restaurants in Blue Hill. The home and property are beautiful. The outdoor space with nice chairs and deck is so nice overlooking the mill stream and the House has so many windows that give you a view (and sounds) of the stream as well. Beautifully decorated and perfect for the four of us to kick back and enjoy being together. Easy drive to so many areas of Maine, but we enjoyed the home so much we hated to leave it! Owner very responsive and informative. Highly recommend this home.
First off, I just want to explain the 4-star cleanliness which was our fault. Angela was kind enough to allow us to arrive early since we had driven overnight. However, the cleaning people hadn't arrived yet and when they did, they saw our car there and knocked but, since we didn't answer (we were in town), they were afraid we were napping and didn't want to disturb us. So, we just had to wait until the next morning for them to come back. Not a big deal; it wasn't like the house was a mess and, like I said, we threw things off by arriving early. As for the house, it is really lovely! It's been recently renovated so everything is updated but still a cute farmhouse from the outside. Darling porch with a swing, a big yard with the stream nearby, lovely sun room with big windows (a bit hot in the summer but can't imagine how lovely that would be on a winter day!) and a one block walk to Main Street. The only things I wished we had were a microwave (even a small one) and light blocking curtains in the master bedroom (the sun woke me up quite early) - but those were minor things, barely worth mentioning. The owner was very communicative and helpful. I would go back in a heartbeat!
