Stayed Sep 11, 2025It was a lovely place! The family uses it as their vacation home so they are quite protective over it. They also meticulously list and label everything in the house, which can be helpful for planning. I understand that trust is a two way street and was happy to provide the 1K deposit, few reminders, and even sign the contractual agreement. That being said, asking for a photo of my ID, a piece of mail as proof of address, a list of all guests with approximate ages, and being prompted to create an account for their website was a bit much. I was in town for a wedding with close friends who are all young professionals in their early-to-late 30s. Prying questions from the host leading up to our stay made it really hard to relax and fully enjoy our stay.

Stayed Aug 1, 2025Third Coast Hideaway is a beautiful and immaculately kept property in a great location. We were a group of 12 adults and 2 young kids (total, not all at the same time) from all over the US who stayed for a week of family reunion. The house was generously supplied with all that we needed, especially the kitchen. The location is close to beaches, restaurants, and shopping, but on a quiet residential street. Our only caveat would be for groups with active young children. We had two rambunctious 5 year olds and had to be especially attentive as the house has many lovely, but breakable or damage-able, decorations and features. For families with quieter or older kids, this is definitely the right place! And even with our energetic children, we were able to avoid disasters and had a great time.

Stayed Jun 9, 2025Madison was a first-rate and very responsive host. Third Coast Hideaway was perfect for a getaway with friends with beautiful, but comfortable furnishings. The screened in back porch was our group's favorite spot for relaxing and enjoying meals. Madison provided all the comforts of home and then some, from a well-stocked kitchen to bicycles.... The location is perfect for walking and exploring Douglas and Saugatuck. I highly recommend.

Stayed Jun 4, 2025Our group of college friends had a fantastic time staying here. The house was perfect and we had plenty of room for everyone to hang out together. The huge screened in porch was perfect for breakfast, afternoon card games, or cocktails. The owners truly care about the guests and even sent a package to my home filled with welcome information and attraction brochures. The Saugatuck area was wonderful. We enjoyed the dune buggy ride, Oval Beach, and the sunset cruise on the Star of Saugatuck. We also enjoyed our bike trip on the Bee Line Trail up to Holland, which is also charming. Our group travels together yearly, and this is one of our favorite properties. We especially loved how well stocked the kitchen was, and how there were labels on all the cupboards (so things go back in the right spot) and on all the electrical switches

Stayed Aug 30, 2024Madison and Frank’s TCH was perfect. Way more than our family even needed! They thought of everything. Really. It was a treat to stay. Next time we want to bring a whole big group to take advantage of all the space and fun stuff!

Stayed Jul 24, 2023This house in Douglas was the perfect amount of indoor and outdoor space to let our extended family hang out, but also get some private time. The location splits the difference between downtown Saugatuck and Oval Beach, so we could do practically any activity without going more than 10 minutes from the house!

Stayed Mar 6, 2023The entry was very easy and the home was fully prepared for us. We enjoyed the games we found available for family fun. The location was great for a quick walk to the little city for shopping and dining. Everyone enjoyed their choice of one of the bedrooms. The home was completely filled with anything we could have needed. The cozy fireplace came on with a flick of a switch!! We can't wait to visit again in the summer!

Stayed Jul 11, 2022This home is absolutely beautiful and perfectly located. We enjoyed every loving detail in the beautiful surroundings and took morning walks to the downtown area, the river, Lake Michigan and various coffee shops. Our group loves to cook and eat and the house could not have been better equipped. Great hospitality. Madison was always available by phone to answer questions. Loved it!
