Welcome to The Surf Shack!
A casually chic classic Isle of Palms beach house, the Surf Shack is ready for you and your family to come and enjoy a wonderful beach vacation! Situated directly across Palm Boulevard, the beach access path, and walking distance to the stores and restaurants, the Surf Shack is an ideally located home. Peek-a-boo ocean views, hot tub with heat included, and a private pool *which can be heated for an additional fee- see below* there is enjoyment for everyone. The main house has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a large living space, a comfortably furnished dining area that seats 8, and a trendy remodeled kitchen with everything you need. There is a screened-in porch across the front of this floor, with a dining area, and a large patio area right outside the back of the home surrounding the pool. The first floor has the main living areas and 2 bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms. One bedroom has a Full bed while the other has a Queen bed and a Twin bunk set.
The second floor has the primary bedroom- with a King bed and a recently renovated en suite bathroom. The 4th bedroom has a King bed and a recently renovated en suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Both bedrooms have access to the lovely screened-in porch, comfortably furnished to enjoy the soft sea breeze.
The fenced backyard entertainment area is definitely a top selling point of the Surf Shack! Enjoy a dip in the pool, relax in the separate hot tub, cook out on the large grill and enjoy your meal at the outdoor table seats 8. The Pool House is home to a Queen Bed and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, rounding out this fantastic area.
There are so many features to the Surf Shack that you will enjoy every minute of your vacation, wishing to return again and again!

Pricing & Availability:

For part of April through part of October our homes only rent for 7 nights, Saturday to Saturday stays. During late fall, winter & early spring, you may rent this home for 3 or more nights, excluding Holidays.

--Policy--
When making an online reservation on VRBO, You will receive a confirmation and a contract from East Islands Rentals once you book this home. The contract must be returned within 24 hours to keep your reservation! Payments are not collected until the contract has been returned and reviewed by East Islands Rentals.

Damage Protection:
In lieu of a security deposit, a Damage Protection Policy is added to protect you up to $3,000.00 of damages during your stay.

Travel Insurance:
Management Company offers travel insurance to all its guests through Rental Guardian. Rental Guardian specialty is Vacation Rental Industry. Travel Insurance covers you in the occurrence of a possible natural disaster threat to our area, medical emergencies, loss of a family member, loss of job, etc. The cost is about 7% of your rental cost-plus taxes and fees. Please email for the exact cost. It is highly recommended to purchase travel insurance through the Management Company. Once the reservation is made the Management Company can add the Rental Guardian policy to your reservation.

If Travel Insurance is purchased through VRBO/Homeaway (CSA-Homeaway policy) their policy does not cover any delays or interruption of a stay, especially if a natural disaster occurs, such as Hurricane. Management Company will not be able to refund any monies or move your reservation.

    The property was just as described. Plenty of room for 8 adults. Location to beach is excellent. Pool and hot tub were where we gathered and just relaxed!

    Check in was as easy as just going to the rental office and picking up the keys. Honestly, this house could use some TLC. Beginning with the front yard fence. It is a wooden fence that is in need of straightening and painting. There were a lot of weeds around the front screened in patio. The screen on the door to the patio, had a hole in it. Overall, the screened in porch is very nice. We spent a lot of our time out there due to the unfortunate rain that we experienced every day.The next room would be the living room. This is where things get a little wonky. The hardwood floors in this room, where it leads into the back hallway, which leads you to the two downstairs bedrooms and bathroom, are completely warped. I’m not talking just a little cup of the floorboards, there are unsafe humps in the Flooring. It is almost as if the floor had waves. This is a known problem because there are several screws that have been screwed into the floorboards to try to keep them in place. This patchwork repair did not work. This is kind of a dangerous trip hazard. Especially in a high traffic area in front of the the hallway bathroom. In the hallway bathroom, there is a patch of black mold. Not sure what the source of that water leak is, but that should be repaired ASAP.

    Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the house cannot be beat. The house is clean and comfortable but with a few additions and repairs the comfort would be next level. They have possibly the most economical plastic seating around the pool and lack tables and umbrellas. A few changes would make everyone’s pool time more enjoyable. The traffic cone warning of the washout around the pool could be repaired as well as removal of large weeds and general landscaping. The deck could use some love as the nails and boards sticking up are a hazard and caused one minor injury. We had to buy a lighter for the grill as the wires for the starter are hanging out of the bottom. For some reason the hood in the kitchen does not work at all. Could not use the lights or fan while cooking. The renovated bathrooms are beautiful and the beds are comfortable. Would be nice to have tv’s in every bedroom. The AC works very well. The lower front porch was a favorite coffee spot in the morning.

    The house was lovely: the bedrooms large and well appointed, the bathrooms were nice and updated and the house was exactly as described. The management company was wonderful, responsive, and took excellent care of us! We had an amazing time!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The people at East Island Rentals were great from start to finish. They couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. The house itself was nice but a little beat up. The front door knob was loose when we got there and it completely fell of at one point. One of the kitchen cabinet doors fell off too. We were able to fix both things but only back to the way they were so they're going to come off again. The back deck is old and needs replaced - wear shoes when walking on the deck. The place was generally clean but the couch and chairs in the family room were soiled badly as were many of the chair cushions around the big table in that room. I didn't want to even sit in them. the bathrooms were nice and clean. The living quarters in the pool house weren't the greatest but we used it OK. Overall the experience was OK but for the money the furniture shouldn't be filthy and door knobs and cabinet doors shouldn't be falling off.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at 2201 Palm blvd was a beautiful experience. The house is pristine and has such a charming, beachy vibe. It was perfect for our group of 8 girls. Whether we wanted to play music and dance by the pool or lay low and relax on the front balcony, this house gave us all we were looking for! The customer service was great and responded right away if we needed. However, one downside was the plumbers arriving on our first day around 5:45pm just when our bride arrived. They also requested pictures of the water heater the next day, which was a minor inconvenience. BUT East Island Rentals apologized and provided us with a gift card, which was much appreciated! Overall, all the girls LOVED the house and talked so highly of our stay. Thank you!!!

    Wonderful stay! Temps dropped so bit chilly that week, but we loved the house & location! It’s a busy street out front, but who cares when you’re right across the street from the OCEAN!!!!! And Easy walking distance into IOP restaurants! Highly recommend! Would stay again!
