The Sandbox - Vintage Beachfront Bungalow - private beach Dana Point STR23-0020

Property is perfect for our family getaway! The small desk area in the back bedroom was perfect when some of us needed to be on a work call or a little quiet time on the computer. The kitchen is well stocked with newer appliances. The wall air conditioners are a huge bonus. The deck, cornhole games, outdoor tables and seating and citronella candles set in fire glass created the perfect amount of ambient light. The string lights in the bushes were a nice touch. A great summer beach location and we look forward to coming back!

My family had a fantastic time in this beautiful home. The deck and beach access is amazing. We have stayed in several homes there over the years and this was by far the best.

We had the absolute best stay... I only wish we could have stayed longer!! The big comfy couches with fire tables right on the beach, the gigantic primary bedroom, every possible kitchen & beach amenity with such cute decor. I love my sleep but found myself getting outside early each morning to enjoy the back area with a cup of coffee and incredible views. There’s not one thing I would change and if anything - we hope to be back next summer. Thank you for everything and being such kind and accommodating hosts!!

House is clean and airy. The outdoor space is fresh and spacious. Overall a great spot to spend quiet time on the beach.

Location was perfect. Loved the beach and coziness of the property. Would have liked to have a dishwasher.

Dana Point is just a beautiful spot on the California coast. Chris & Amy are excellent kind hosts & their home is a perfect place to relax & enjoy the wonderful beach, cute town & magnificent sunsets. We hope to return soon!

We came in from out of town for a family wedding. The house itself is, top to bottom completely beautiful. The deck was an added BONUS. We even slept outside one night and I personally have never/don’t do that!! I can’t say it enough, every family member had the time of their lives just because of the house!

Super nice tastefully updated mid century modern nestled among McMansions. Makes the absolute best of the beach conditions, which are beach at low tide, nicely done river rock at high tide. Everything works what needs to be new is new.

Third time staying at the Sandbox and it's truly my favorite place to stay. This is one of those great places that I wouldn't change a single thing. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home, Chris and Amy!

We had an amazing stay at the Sandbox enjoying quality time with local family. The back deck is gorgeous and ocean views are beyond stunning. The privacy is unmatched. The vintage bungalow is well appointed with everything anyone could possibly need. Chris and Amy showed so much kindness to accommodate a late check out when my daughter got sick the last day. We can’t wait to go back!

The perfect home to make great memories! The views are spectacular. The patio was ideal for long relaxing days and listening to the waves. We can’t wait to come back! Chris and Amy were great hosts!

Super cute and cozy bungalow in a very nice community. My husband and I stayed here with our teenage grandchildren. The beach in this area is rocky but the back patio is a great place to hangout. We travelled a short way up the road for a perfect day at the beach. If you are staying here with small children make sure you understand the layout of the house. It worked well for us with teenagers that had nowhere to go. The bed in the master was a little too soft for our liking but others might enjoy that.

Our family completely enjoyed this home and the ocean view. We spent most of our time on the deck right next to the water. We fished, surfed, swam, played games, cooked, laughed, caught up with each other and took in all of God's creation we could. In fact we never turned on the TV once. The home had everything we needed and then some. There were beach chairs, boogie boards, a surf board, all the small appliances, AC, sheets, towels and more. There was some difficulty with the parking. There are 3 spots for sedan or small SUV sized vehicles which was plenty. However because security only issues 3 passes for a specific licensed vehicle, we needed to go through some logistical back & forth when we had local family come visit. We were able to use the free parking just outside of the gate. Thank you so much for your flexibility, we will likely come again!

My family and I had an amazing time at Chris and Amy’s beach house. The location was perfect and every detail was thought of. The deck worked out great to have friends and family over for the day. We had 2 families stay there and didn’t feel tight at all. The Sandbox Vintage was the ultimate beach vacation, we will definitely be back again! Thanks again Chris and Amy.
