The Ruby Rose is spacious and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is large, functional, and has everything you need to cook. We enjoyed the living room watching some TV and the round dining table playing board games. It's a bit of a drive (~10 min) from the center of Crescent City, but it was not a problem overall. The three bedrooms are all next to each other and there's one bathroom right next to them. The second bathroom is behind the kitchen, quite far from the bedrooms.

We enjoyed our stay at your lovely home! It was clean & a very quite neighborhood! Love how we were in the middle of all sightseeing... Your garden is breathtaking!!Also appreciate that you replace the coffee grinder promptly! We would recommend this property. We may be back! The only thing negative is the double rug in living room was a tripping hazard! Also a chair in bedroom and something to place our luggage on would be helpful. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

We stayed here while visiting Crescent City to explore the Redwoods and it was great. The house was really excellent for our family. Beds were comfy and there was lots of room for us to spread out and enjoy our time there. The shared living spaces were excellent. The yard was also wonderful - our kids had a great time playing out there and we enjoyed sitting on the deck with the fire pit as well. Check in was easy, directions for check in/out were clear and the host was excellent. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Crescent City again!

The host was very responsive, welcoming and helpful. The house was great, very spacious and well priced. However, there’s room for improvement on cleaning. The host had been notified with concerns of the home.

The house was really nice, couldn't get the internet connection to work for watching TV, but my family enjoyed how spacious it was for a rambler and my kids liked the backyard.

House was very clean with lots of modern upgrades, such as appliances & bathroom vanity. My favorite part was the deck and beautiful flower gardens. Host was very responsive. Only 10 minutes from Jedediah Smith State Park, which is a must see.

The property was as expected from the pictures. It was a nice place to stay as our base camp for the Redwoods. The backyard was very pretty and it was nice to watch the hummingbirds. I would recommend trimming the thorny plant that is growing up onto the deck though as that caught my kids a few times.

Great house, very clean and nice updates. We loved having the family room to watch movies at night and there’s a desk in there if you need to do work while traveling. Minimal spices in the kitchen and no food storage, foil or baggies for leftover food but we purchased our own from the local Safeway. There is another rental unit in the back, a small ADU that we were not aware of until we arrived. There were guests staying there and they were quiet and respectful but I do think it should state in the listing that other people could possibly be staying on the property. Overall we loved the house!

The property was clean and well taken care of. Very comfortable stay. My only complaint is that we weren’t aware that there is another ADU in the back being rented out as well. The backyard is shared and if you have the curtains open the people staying there can see directly in all rooms of the house. Other than that, everything was great.

The house we stayed in for 3D & 3N was big, beautiful, comfortable, and gave complete privacy which we could never get in a hotel. The kitchen was amazing with everything we needed. Nick the owner was quick to reply to our questions and he is a gracious host. My only suggestion would be less lights coming in the bedroom at night from the yard

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. It’s a delightful blend of modern upgrades and older charm. Cozy, pretty bedrooms with very comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, a pretty living room to sit and read, and a lovely family room where we all snuggled into the couches and enjoyed a movie on the huge tv. We had no problem signing into our streaming services and the WiFi worked well. It rained most of our stay, which didn’t bother us at all, but in better weather we would have loved to enjoy the patio and backyard because the landscaping is beautiful. One thing to note is that there isn’t a master bathroom attached to the master bedroom, which still worked great for us because there were two full bathrooms available in the house. There is a second rental available on this property (a smaller guest house in the back of the property) but we only saw their car parked in their designated space. We still had total privacy. We loved our meals at Seaquake Brewing and SeaFront Bakery, had a charming visit at the Battery Point lighthouse, and especially loved the close proximity to the Howland Hills drive and hikes in the Jedediah Smith Redwoods state park. We hope to stay at this property again on our next trip through.

Our stay at The Ruby Rose was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the stunning coastal views and the peaceful atmosphere. The house itself was beautifully decorated, clean, and incredibly comfortable – it felt like a true home away from home.Nick was a fantastic host, providing clear instructions. We especially loved well-equipped kitchen, and the large back yard with a deck and firepit. The location was ideal, with easy access to the beach, the harbor, and all the hiking trails in the Redwoods. The comfortable beds, provided coffee, quiet neighborhood made our stay even more enjoyable. We woke up to the sound of the birds chirping and spent our days exploring the charming coastal town and the near by woods. We highly recommend The Ruby Rose to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway. We can't wait to return!**5 stars across the board!**
