Great location to see the Redwoods & beach

This was conveniently located to access a very beautiful beach for walking, running and exploring tide pools or seeing the sun set. The only concern was the bedrooms which were not as expected or suitable for 2 couples. May not even be suitable for a family of 4 unless ok with having the kids downstairs next to the entrance. The main bedroom did not have a wall or door and opened right into the kitchen and the lower room was not actually a bedroom with proper beds. There was a day bed and single cot(not a full size twin )crammed into the entry way/laundry room. It was also dusty and hot.

If I could give over a 5 star rating I would. This place was everything advertised and more. Friendly hosts, very clean and comfortable living area, and a VERY short walk to the beach! The dining area had a window that framed the ocean view...it was breathtaking! No complaints, only compliments for this place :)

This property was within a few hundred feet of the ocean in a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of good dining options about a mile or so away. Owner was great at communicating info about their place as well as making sure we knew about the weather as the roads leading to Crescent city from the south can often be closed due to mudslides.

Great little two-story house with a view of the beach only 50 yards away. Down a quiet street in a quiet town. On-site laundry was helpful. Bikes are available too for cruising around town.

The owners live close by and are extremely friendly and helpful with local interests to check out.

What a great place!!! Linda and Bill are wonderful hosts , who made sure the house was very well stocked for our needs , all you need to bring is food and clothes . Short walk to the beach . Great price and great people Definitely will be returning as often possible Thank you Linda and Bill for a wonderful weekend .

Home was cute and clean! Hosts were very communicative and live across the street?There is no door on the master bedroom upstairs and the wall is partially open to the kitchen, so don’t plan on any privacy if traveling with others. 2nd bedroom is tight if the 2nd twin bed is set up. Leaves little room for movement but the laundry room is connected and a little larger so they were able to keep their things in there. Property is lush with greenery and flowers and is beautiful!

Great use of the bikes to go to the lighthouse! Flexible check in and great communication. Very friendly and helpful!

The House was very nice, comfortable, and decorated with many interesting items. The location was great, close to the beach and the Redwoods.The hosts, Bill and Linda were very sociable and attentive to our needs.I would say that the house is best suited for one couple or family since the master bedroom is open to the public spaces.I would certainly recommend the house to others.

Whether you're traveling down the 101 like we were or just looking for a spot in Crescent City, Linda & Bill's place is a gem! Check in was seamless, they we're both super responsive via text, were happy to provide recommendations, etc. The space was clean and tidy. Great bath products for guests which we really appreciated. When they say steps from the beach, they mean it. The sunset was unreal. Great stay.

Great place in a history rich location. I wish we had a couple days to stay and take in everything. The hosts were great, very friendly and helpful with local things to do.

The hosts communicated timely and were very friendly. The location was awesome for a short walk to one of the beaches and short drives to anywhere in town. It was also a great base camp for exploring the area’s Redwood forests.

It was a very cute house perfect for our needs. There was a beach view. It was a wonderful base for us going to Redwoods and other state parks. The house had wonderful perks such as quality towels, toilet paper and other essential needs provided. The hosts communicated very well.

Hosts were available and easy to communicate with. Everything was great during our stay. Onsite laundry super convenient. The house was not quite as close to the water as we expected, but didn’t detract at all drom our stay.

Great house and great beach. Host even had a friend get two bicycles for us to bike the coast a bit. Highly recommend!

Overall impression of this property was great! Owners were very helpful with ideas of sights to see and recommended some awesome restaurants. The property was very clean, although the furniture was a little dated and not super comfy. All in all we had a wonderful visit to this beautiful area.

Highly recommend this cottage as a home base for exploring Redwood National and State parks. Property was very clean, got a good nights sleep in the comfy beds and appreciated being able to do laundry in the middle of our trip. Great communication with hosts.

This was one of our favorite VRBOs. The hosts were extremely gracious and created a peaceful stay. It was the perfect complement to our family vacation!

My only complaint is that I didn't stay longer. The hosts communicate very well. We arrived very late at night and they checked on us and provided helpful nightime photo of the home's entrance that proved useful. The home is located on a beautiful 2 acre lot shared with the host's primary residence. The lot is spectacular with huge trees and feels magical. They hosts are very nice, I enjoyed a nice chat when I bumped into Linda who is a local realtor and took the time to tell me all about the area. I highly recommend.

Our family enjoyed our night here. We were so glad to do laundry along the way and they had lots of extras that made our stay even better. My son LOVED shooting baskets in the cul-de-sac and I e wish we would've had time for a bike ride! Great location to run down to the beach to catch the sunset.

My girls and I had a great time staying here. The easy walk to the beach was perfect and the quick drive to explore the redwoods was exaclty what we needed. The owners were quick to respond and very sweet when we had a conversation outside.

Quiet neighborhood, property at end of dead end street. Ocean view from dining area, beautiful coastal area with easy access to redwood parks. Short ride to Battery Point light house. Was a very comfortable landing point after spending days exploring woods and coastal areas.

Our family stayed at this property during our Pacific NW trip. It was perfect. Easy to get too and close to the Redwood National Forest. The property was exactly how it was described. It was clean and cozy with a GREAT view of the ocean. The property owners checked in with us and were available if we needed anything. The sunsets were breathtaking and only a few steps away. The deer on the property was an added bonus. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Beautiful private space. Beach is a block away. Close to Redwoods NP and Jebediah State Park. Everything you need to enjoy your vacation. One f the best VRBO spaces we have rented. A note to those who have limited movement ability. Sleeping space, bath, and laindry down. Stairs to get up to living space, kitchen, bedroom. If there is space, you need to book this piece of paradise!

We had a wonderful stay at this beach cottage! The place was clean, cozy, and just steps from the ocean. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The host was friendly and easy to communicate with. We’d definitely love to come back!

This was a great place to stay for our girls trip! Bill and Linda were excellent hosts! They have wonderful life stories to share and we’re so welcoming to us. The house was perfect with an open bedroom upstairs and a smaller bed next to the laundry room downstairs. We spent most of our time exploring the area, but when we were at the house we enjoyed access to the beach just a few steps away. We highly recommend the benches just across the road, especially Eleanor’s!

Linda & Bill are such great hosts! The location is picture perfect! We loved being able to walk to pebble beach each morning and watch the sunset each evening from the dining room.

We booked our stay to visit Redwoods and explore the coast for my fiancé’s birthday. Bill & Linda provided a clean space in a great location with easy check-in and check-out. They even signed a birthday card which made the birthday weekend even more special. Highly recommended!

Our stay at the little rental was quite comfortable and we loved the authentic surfer paraphernalia that decorated the space. It was calming looking out at the ocean in the mornings. The beach access was so close and it felt like our own private beach. It was such a pleasure meeting the hosts who were very helpful with their recommendations. Being able to stay so close to the magical Redwoods was such a treat and we will definitely rent the space again.
