The house is stunning and lived up to all the marketing. Place was clean and in good repair - well stocked with supplies, etc. Our host was welcoming and responsive. We enjoyed many beach walks, gorgeous sunsets, the hot tub, theater room, expansive kitchen and dining table that seated all of us. Great time!

The place was even nicer than anticipated. It was perfect for a large family gathering. Plenty of space for all and lovely views. Beach access from back yard stairs. I would definitely come back!

This was one of the nicest places our family has ever stayed. We give it a 10 out of 10! It seems the hosts thought of everything…a wonderfully stocked kitchen, really comfortable beds, a well-stocked laundry room, lots of space for families, large dining table, an amazing, private home with great beach access. It was expensive, but now we can see why. Thanks for 4 days we will never forget!

Best vacation rental EVER!!! The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need to make the simplest meal to a gourmet meal. The home is spacious and lots of areas to relax and take in the ocean views and incredible sunsets. We can’t wait to stay again!

We have stayed at this house twice and both times have been marvelous. There are 11 of us and we have plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds comfortable, and having 2 refrigerators is SO helpful! We'll hope to stay again!

Such a great venue for celebrating our parents 80th birthdays! Amazing beach access. Terrific kitchen and dining area large enough for large group gathering. Nice proximity to Newport.

The ocean view from the back of this house is lovely, but access to the beach is somewhat difficult as part of the steep set of steps has no railing. The seniors in our group opted not to go down to the beach, and even the young people found the steps challenging. The front of the house is quite close to the road, so traffic noise was a problem in two of the bedrooms. For a luxury rental, we were surprised to have a bedroom dresser with missing drawer pulls and most of the showers with neither a shelf or ledge to put soap and shampoo on; for a senior, picking up a bar of soap from the floor can be problematic. And, no grab bars in the showers were also a disappointment. The kitchen stools are uncomfortable metal, and some of the seating is very low to the ground. All in all, this house seems best suited for large groups of young people and certainly not for seniors or anyone with mobility issues.

This was our second time staying at the Rock for a work retreat. We had 15 women but not everyone stayed all three nights. The kitchen is gorgeous. We love that the table seated all of us. The location is great. Close to Newport and literally ON the beach. Beds were comfy. Bathrooms were all well appointed. We enjoyed watching a movie one night in the media room. And the fire pit and hot tub outside were a great treat. We had two issues but the property management company was quickly responsive. First, upon arrival, one coworker took a bath in the upstairs south bathroom which caused a leak in the downstairs laundry room. As soon as figured out the issue, we just didn’t use that tub any longer. Secondly, we planned rooms and beds carefully because of strong personal preferences about sharing rooms and/or beds. Unfortunately, the listing was out of date. We were expecting a set of bunk beds in a small room next to a bedroom on the first floor. Much to our surprise the bunkbed had been removed so ultimately we were short two twin beds. The property management brought us extra bedding the next day and we made it work on couches. Not the greatest situation but we managed. Also, the number of laundry rooms isn’t accurate in the listing. We expected two laundry rooms each with a washer & dryer. However, the laundry located next to the front door was locked. Not a huge deal just wasn’t what we expected. Despite the few issues, we love the Rock and plan to stay there again!

This is the second time our family and friends have enjoyed our stay at 'The Rock' at Seal Rock. It is a beautiful home that is big enough for a large group, but still cozy and inviting. We had everything we needed for our trip. Of course, it was a special treat when we spotted whales!

Six couples came together for a quiet weekend away from kids and distractions. Beautiful home, amazing views and house.

Twelve amazing women friends recently stayed for a long getaway weekend, and we loved it. The house offers enough variety of spaces so we could all gather together or find a bit of space away from the big group. Access to the beach is right there for the adventurers, but a wide view of the ocean was front and center for those who chose to stay in. For many of us, this was our second stay at The Rock, and we came back for a lot of the same reasons. As the reservation person, I appreciated communication with the host for payment and instructions. The Rock does not disappoint!

This is a stunning property. We have stayed in many vacation homes over the years, and this ranks in the top tier! The home is spacious and well-appointed. The kitchen has everything that we needed. The views are superb, and the beach access with concrete stairs and a sturdy metal railing are safe and secure — a rare thing along the coast. We look forward to a future stay!

Ten family members, including eight adults and two children, celebrated our mother’s 90th birthday at the Rock. The property is marvelous. We had everything we needed, and the location is fabulous with a short stairway from the patio to a wonderful beach. Several of us are runners, and we could get five miles of beach running in easily by going south to Seal Rock and north a long way on flat, wide beach. The fire pit on the patio is excellent, the sea view bedrooms, both on ground level and loft level, are amazing, and the kitchen/dining room and table are perfect for family celebration. The kitchen lights and coffee nook electricity did not work, but there is so much light from the grand sea view windows that lights are not needed during the day. We could not locate any cooking vents, the lack of which caused the smoke alarm to activate once early in the morning. But aside from those small flaws, this is an absolutely perfect treat of a beach property, just a stone’s throw from Newport to the north and Waldport to the south.

We stayed for our annual family gathering, 6 adults, 5 kids and it was a wonderful stay. Everything we needed was there and well organized. It was clean, quiet, easy access to the beach, but not so close we had to worry about a 4 year old escaping! We all absolutely loved it. Comfortable beds, lots of comfy blankets for naps and plenty of room in the kitchen for multiple people to fix meals. Worth every penny.

Out stay was fantastic. The host and the owner accommodated us well with our situation. Very helpful and understanding. The house was super clean when we arrived. It was the most perfect place and setting for us to take a few days off our ministry tour and relax. We are hoping to be back again in tbe future.
