Stayed Jul 18, 2025The cabin is dated and cluttered, but would appeal to many people.

Stayed Jul 22, 2025The property was exactly as described and very well maintained. Directions and communication leading up to our stay, we're great. The beds were also notably comfortable and in great condition. Internet worked well for our needs and Wi-Fi calling on our phones. There truly is no cellular service on any of the three major carriers so preload (or download) your Google map of the area before heading in. Saving a map of the region will be useful once you get into RMNP also. Note that this property sits at almost 9,000 ft. If you are referencing weather/temperature do so for Allenspark CO. There's a notable temperature difference compared to Estes Park at 7500'We look forward to runting again!

Stayed Jul 3, 2025This home was really a great place to get away from everything. It was in the woods with lots of nature around, including a moose that paid a visit to the property. The hosts were very responsive and gave good directions to the house. Great place!

Stayed Jun 15, 2025Our family of 4 (kids 9 and 16) spent 2 nights at the cabin. Great location that is off the beaten path yet close to Estes and RMNP. We loved how we felt right at home, exploring around the property and seeing different wildlife! Renee was wonderful to work with and answered all of our questions! Would definitely visit again!

Stayed Jun 6, 2025We had a wonderful stay at Moose Meadow Cabin! The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect getaway. The cabin itself was spacious and filled with natural light, creating a warm and inviting environment. The location was ideal—close to town and Rocky Mountain National Park, yet still in a remote setting that allowed us to fully enjoy nature. One of our favorite moments was when we spotted a small herd of elk in the meadow behind the cabin one evening. On another day, a young bull moose casually sauntered right up to the deck where we were sitting! It was such a memorable experience. We also appreciated the abundance of hummingbirds and other wildlife in the area. Overall, we highly recommend Moose Meadow Cabin to anyone looking for a serene escape surrounded by nature. We can't wait to return!

Stayed Jul 27, 2024Four of us stayed at the cabin, 2 adults, 2 kids, and had a nice stay. Good location as base camp for exploring Rocky Mountain National Park. We were up very early one morning to go hiking and saw a Moose in the back yard which was cool. Bedrooms are a bit on the small side so not much room to open up suitcases but not a big deal. No cell service as noted in listing, but WiFi worked great. Apple Maps took us right to the front door so no issues finding the place (make sure to download offline maps to your phone before traveling so you can still get directions when no cell service). My only feedback is it would be nice to have screens in the 1st floor bedroom so windows could be opened at night to cool it down and hot water heater was not able to keep up with 1 shower at a time.

Stayed Jun 30, 2024We loved the setting and seclusion this cabin provided. It was close enough to Estes Park and RMNP but still gave you the atmosphere needed for relaxation. The cabin had everything you would need plus more. The outdoor space was amazing! Highly recommend!

Stayed Jul 10, 2024We loved our stay in this cabin and wish we could have stayed longer! Location is perfect for exploring Estes Park and RMNP but offers lots of peace and quiet as it’s just a little off the beaten path (but not too much, and it’s not difficult to get to). Cabin is prettier in person, the view out the living room windows is stunning and the back porch is a wonderful place to hang out. We could have watched the hummingbirds for hours! Would love to stay here again someday and highly recommend.

Stayed Jun 20, 2024This was our first experience with VRBO. We were very impressed. The property was amazing! We really liked the seclusion it offered. Off the beaten path is a good description and was exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking supplies, the beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed with the exception of a bbq which was understandably prohibited due to on-going fire danger. We spent a lot of time on the deck. A yearling moose came by for dinner in the meadow and obviously to get his picture taken. The hummingbirds provided lots of amusement, too. One issue we had was cooling the upstairs area in the evening. Even though the downstairs was refreshingly cool, all the heat rose to the upper level and with only 1 opening window the ceiling fan just did not provide enough cross-ventilation. Luckily we had brought a small fan and that helped a bit. We didn't loose much sleep. We were warned that bad weather had taken down a lot of trees in the area. The hard-working crews clearing them out respected our privacy, keeping the noise to a minimum as best they could. We couldn't believe they were accomplishing so much without impacting the peace and quiet that this cabin inspires. This was a very enjoyable stay for us. We will certainly check out other VRBO offerings in the future but this one would be hard to beat.
