Such a perfect stay! Walking distance to everything in Douglas and an easy drive to Saugatuck. The house was impeccably clean. It was stocked with everything you'd need for a getaway. We liked all the brochures available for things to do and places to go around town. Appreciated meeting the host & having her show us around the house when we arrived.

We travelled from the UK and had been staying in Chicago for a week before making the lovely trip to Douglas. We are so glad we found Postcard Cottage. The most beautiful location and the most wonderful host! Renee went above and beyond. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous. We had our two little girls with us and Renee had left toys, crafts, high chair and a cot for them which was perfect. Also the most delicious blueberry muffins. The surrounding area is fabulous with lots to do. We actually extended our stay from two days to six because there was so much to do and we loved the house. Renee is the best communicator and host and was there to greet us and show us around and also sent us lots of great recommendations. We loved staying in Douglas and exploring Saugatuck and the surrounding areas. Would 100% recommend staying at Postcard Cottage. We were sad to leave and hope to visit again!

This cottage was absolutely perfect for our family of 3 to explore the area. We have an 18 month old, and having this as our home base was truly one of the main reasons why our trip was so enjoyable. Renee was very quick to respond to our questions both before and during the trip, and she even met us at the house during check-in to show us around the property. The location was ideal for us because the neighborhood was safe and walkable, while also being just a short drive away from everything else we wanted to do in the area (Saugatuck, Holland, Oval Beach, Fennville, etc.). While the second bedroom was a little bit tight for our pack and play / slumberpod combo, we were still able to make it work pretty easily - which allowed us free reign of the rest of the house after our son went to bed. 10/10 would recommend for couples or families of little ones!

This is a perfect place to stay. It’s beautifully decorated, pristinely clean, and we found everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped and the screened porch our favorite spot. Wonderful touches in welcoming treats, coffee, tea, and water and bikes. The bed is comfortable and the deep tub/ shower was great. The location is ideal—a quiet neighborhood and very short walking distance to restaurants and shops. A quick drive to beaches—we loved Douglas beach. Painterly sunsets. Hosts were exceptional. We would not want to stay anywhere else in this area.

The cottage was so incredibly charming we almost did not want to venture out each day. We spent a lot of time on the front porch (morning or evening) or back screened in area which also had a water fountain and the sound was v calming. The cottage had everything you could imagine. It was incredibly clean and made us feel right at home. We still talk about sitting on the front porch to enjoy the day. The owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We still think about it and plan on returning.

My husband and I are recent empty nesters who decided to take a short weekend away in the Douglas/Saugatuck area. We were so delighted to find Renee’s Postcard Cottage in the perfect location. She was delightful and even greeted us to hand over the keys. The house was exceptionally clean and filled with every amenity. We especially loved that there were bikes to ride around town so we took advantage and rode down to the Root beer Barrel for some refreshments. Great weekend and cannot recommend enough!

The host provides everything you need to be comfortable: coffee, filters, a selection of tea, in case you forgot toiletries, wood for the fire pit, etc. The house is as lovely as the listing depicts, and you can walk to restaurants and shops. The bikes that appear in the photo are actually there to use. Saugatuck is a 10-minute ride away. Renee creates such a peaceful, relaxing environment - we didn't want to leave! I highly recommend staying here.

Where to begin…what a gem!! It is as even better in-person than the listing gives credit for. Perfect location, meticulously curated, thoughtful throughout. Even down to the welcome gift (bottle of wine and new hot wheel car for our toddler) It was our first time visiting Michigan’s western coast, but thanks in part to Renee, we will be back!

The cottage was exactly as pictured and described. Extremely well equipped and decorated, and very clean. The location is great to take advantage of both Douglas and Saugatuck. Douglas is just a few hundred feet and downtown Saugatuck was about a mile away. My wife and I walked and rode the nice bikes provided to Saugatuck. Would highly recommend this cottage for a nice couples getaway.

I stayed with two of my closest friends in this adorable house. The lovely host thought of absolutely everything. She offered several suggestions for places to go and things to see. The location was perfect! Just steps to downtown Douglas where we enjoyed breakfast, coffee, and lovely shops. We were a short car ride from a quaint lavender farm, winery, Crane’s bakery and the most amazing breakfast at Pennyroyal. We loved the shops of downtown Saugatuck and will be sure to reserve this cottage for any future trips we make to this area.
