The Little House in Hubbards - a private heritage house steps from the sea

We felt like we were at home! Cozy. Loved how quiet the area is! The grocery store near by, was very helpful! The fall colors were stunning!!

We had a wonderful stay at Shelleys place. The location is great for exploring the area and the town of Hubbard itself is quite pretty. The place was exactly as described and well equipped. Thank you for your hospitality

This little house is a gem. So clean and fresh, the linens were lovely, the kitchen well stocked, all amenities were great. The deck, the BBQ, everything was perfect.

We enjoyed our stay at the Little Hubbards house so much. It was fully stocked with everything you would need and then some. Everything we looked for, we found. The house is located on the main road through Hubbards which made for very easy access (walking distance) to all amenities, shops, restaurants and the Farmers Market. The house is also tucked back from the road so it felt very cozy and private. We are already talking about planning on coming back next summer. :)

Great cottage with all the amenities. Beautifully decorated and so comfortable to stay there. We were able to sit outside on warm evenings and in the morning before breakfast on the deck and sit in the very comfortable lounge. We would come again to stay!

Check in was smooth. Facilities were clean and had everything we needed for a few nights. Lovely back deck for a quiet evening. Handy for stores, restaurants and beaches

The Little House was the perfect choice for the four of us. Not just well-equipped, but everything, from kitchen tools to reading glasses for puzzling, has been considered by the host and is exactly the way it should be. Highly recommend!

Our family vacation here was perfect. The home is so cozy, not too big and not too small. The location is great, only 30 minutes from downtown Halifax, but secluded enough to enjoy peace and quiet. Our daughter loved playing in the big backyard, the Trellis Cafe was a great spot to grab a coffee, and The Shore Club for Mother’s Day dinner was phenomenal.Make sure to go to the local farmers market on Saturday’s!

This property is now my favourite! It’s one of those places that when you walk into it you feel good. It is spotless, well equipped, cosy and I cannot make a single suggestion to make it better. For me this place is perfect.

Charming little house on a great location. Very comfortable.

We loved the location as it as close to many things but the road was very noisy with traffic. Driveway difficult to back out of and difficult with dogs. House well equiped and comfortable. Enjoyed the tub!!!

Such a nice little cottage for 4! We attended a wedding at the Hubbards Barn and it was so nice to be able to walk to and from the venue. The cottage is well equipped with almost everything you'll need in the kitchen, has comfortable bedrooms and a very cozy couch! We throughly enjoyed sitting out on the back deck in the afternoon, use of the fire pit in the evening and the overall east coast charm of the decorations throughout the house. One thing that we did find was missing was cooking oil so you might want to remember to bring some.

Loved our stay at this little historic house. Well stocked kitchen and very comfy beds. Close to Peggy's Cove which we visited twice and great eating places.

We had a fantastic stay at the Little House in Hubbards. The house is very nicely equipped. Situated about half way between Halifax and Lunenburg, it is perfectly located to explore the region.

We had an absolutely lovely stay in Hubbards. The house is clean, well appointed, and has everything you need for a stress free stay. So don't worry, you'll have everything you need. The house is very comfortable and conveniently located for visiting Halifax, Lunenburg, and even further (we also drove down to Yarmouth and Windsor). Closer to the house is the small but excellent Fox Point beach (about a 5-10 minute drive or a beautiful 1 hour walk--if you do walk it be sure to be visible as the roads are quite twisty). Also close by is the bigger Queensland Beach and the Aspotogan Trail. There's a grocery store and liquor store in walking distance to the house which are very convenient. So there's tonnes to do and you'll definitely appreciate coming back home to a lovely home at the end of the day.

We traveled from British Columbia to spend some much-needed quality time with our growing children and grandchildren. Over the four days everybody rotated in and out had a spectacular time with some incredible memories. The place was perfect!

Just a lovely house, with pleasant decor and a yard full of greenery. It was quiet, handy to the places we wanted to go, and as birders we enjoyed the song sparrows that serenaded us. A wonderful stay, and to top it off I forgot a small component for my battery charger and the caretaker sent us a picture of it, and then agreed to mail it to me free of charge. We are both named David, and he said the David's of the world have to stick together. What a guy! I can just about guarantee that you will be happy if you rent this house.
