This was our second year staying at The Landing Hythe. Highly recommended. Great communication with house contact when needing to ask questions or needing help. Good location. Lots of space and a homely feeling.

The property is large, confortable and very well equipped. Its location is perfect, just behind the High Street and a short walking distance to the parks, canal and seafront. A minor improvement would be to increase the shower pressure. We very much enjoyed our stay there and hope to be back one day.

The accommodation is very good with all amenities, good rooms etc. and very well equipped. The bathroom needs updating, especially the shower although there was plenty of hot water. The location proved to be noisy with the nearby pub bottle bin being filled early morning and some delivery vehicles reversing into the garage area. The lounge carpet was stained and spotted in several places. Very convenient for walk to high street, canal and seafront.

A great position just off of the high street so handy for shops /.pubs etc . Well presented and in easy walking distance of the seafront. Quite homely and plenty of space. The bathroom needs updating, but saying that , we had a great week ,

Already replied to Bloom and told them that the Landing was the very best location ever - right next to the pub!!

A nice spacious, comfortable and well equipped house in a very central location. Rather disappointed in the bathroom and shower arrangement, I do feel that needs to be updated, but otherwise it is a very good place to stay.

We booked to stay here at the last minute due to a change in family plans for Christmas, which had to be relocated entirely. The house is lovely and very well-equipped. Although we didn't attempt Christmas dinner here (we were invited over to our son-in-law's parents), we cooked several meals and iced a Christmas cake during our stay - only slightly thwarted/surprised by not being able to find a sieve for the icing sugar - but there were two whisks and a large mixing bowl in the cupboards. We made regular use of the coffee machine. The Landing is only a few steps away from Hythe High Street with lots of interesting shops and bars etcetera. Also there's a convenient Waitrose, and other supermarkets a bit further afield. It was lovely to arrive to a welcome box of chocolates, milk in the fridge, tea and coffee in canisters on the side and a Christmas tree and decorations and the house lovely and warm (too warm actually, I turned down the thermostat - it's a well-insulated house and very cosy!). Also I was delighted to find a 'things to fix things with and spare batteries and lightbulbs' drawer and that cleaning materials and tools weren't all locked away - so if something gets spilled - or something needs a quick fix - everything you need is available to sort it out right away. Although there's a parking space (and a small garage) at the property, our car was too big for the garage, and a tad too long (30cm) for the parking space (it's a VW Sharan), though the neighbours were fine with it. If you come with two cars, if one is small enough you might be able to stow it in the garage with the other one sitting outside in front of the garage. But otherwise, you'll need to pay to park a second car elsewhere. The WiFi works brilliantly, I'm betting fibre to the home (excellent download and upload speeds). The TV is big screen and good resolution, but suffers occasionally from video/sound sync issues - I think potentially because the terrestrial signal is not great - which I'm told by local family is a 'feature' of the area. But if you use the built-in players on the TV, you can watch via the Internet instead, which works perfectly. Refuse and recycling boxes etcetera are in the garage and can easily be wheeled/put out on collection day. There's also food waste recycling bin, which I wish I'd realised earlier (so didn't end up with a smelly kitchen bin), but there wasn't a food waste caddy in the kitchen, and I couldn't find one anywhere else in the house or garage when I looked (sorry!) So overall - delightful home-from-home comforts, plenty of space to chill, and loads to do and see right on your doorstep - we'd happily book again, maybe in the summer for a proper planned visit versus a surprise last-minute change of Christmas plans. (P.S. And thank you for providing 3 keys - having more than one key makes it so much easier when staying in a holiday home with family members who might go out and come in again at different times).

Well maintained and clean and perfect location to explore the lovely area and nearby beaches. The property is spread over three floors but the main living area and bedrooms are the first and second floors and it was extremely hot on these levels during the time we were staying there unfortunately. Fans had been provided for the bedrooms but the lack of outside space meant it felt a little intense and claustrophobic at times. Communication with hosts was great and Lisa was extremely helpful - thank you.
