Stayed Oct 9, 2022Ignore the rubbish from cottages.com as they obviously do not have a clue. The front door facing North road is locked and bolted and so cannot be used to enter the property. Only by going down the steps and using the back door can you get in. The flat bronze yale style key next to the silver long key is the one you need. As the yale lock is loose you need to jiggle the key in the lock to even turn it. Watch out if your tall ... im 6' and had some close calls in the cottage. Do not attempt to use the driveway to park as it is too up n down and narrow. I scratched the car drivers side up on the hedges. The unrestricted layby opposite is best if you want to avoid T cut!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Very quaint cottage, full of character in a good location. James is a great host, and left us some wine and chocolates which was a lovely treat. Would recommend a stay in this lovely cottage. Short walk down the hill into Hythe High Street, sea front and also to the Bell Inn which serves lovely food. Stayed Dec 31, 1969Lovely, old, cottage, packed with character. The fireplace, with wood burning stove, made it for us, as we stayed over the late August bank holiday weekend and the evenings were chilly enough to justify having a roaring fire on each night. The kitchen is small, but clever use has been made of the space and they've even managed to fit a dish washer in there. The bed is really comfortable, and towels and bed linen are provided. The owners live next door and were friendly and helpful when we spoke to them. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone considering a break in Hythe or the surrounding area. Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great owner, James, helpful and available if needed but not obtrusive. Cottage small but had all we needed, appreciated endless supply of firewood. Location very good for high street etc. Would definitely return.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a lovely short stay in this cosy cottage. Ideally located for Hythe and the coastal towns. Compact living space with the feature wood burner to enjoy. Main garden area is not enclosed and borders a main road so not suitable for young children or dogs but good walking and park area a short stroll away. Owners very helpful and found a missing pair of glasses which were returned promptly.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A lovely quirky, quaint cottage. Car parking space to the rear of the cottage which also serves as the main access. James the owner who also lives next door was a perfect host. Always helpful and informative. Good location as a base for exploring. Long promenade going to Folkstone, plenty of places to eat and drink. Great walks along the Military Canal, and social venues. Hythe and Romney narrow gauge railway going to Dungeness with selected stops on route. A five minute downhill walk to the town. Loved this holiday experience
