This property was absolutely perfect for 4 adults and 3 teenage boys. The game room in the gargae kept everyone busy and entertained. The house was very clean and was stocked with everything we needed.

This home was an absolute winner for our trip. The kitchen was impressively well‑equipped, making meals easy and enjoyable. The space itself is wide‑open and comfortable — a perfect gathering spot for everyone to hang out, cook, and relax.We also loved having a grill for outdoor cooking, and the hosts really thought of every detail. The noise machine in the bedroom was a great touch for sleeping, and the luggage racks made unpacking simple and organized.You can tell the owners put real thought into making the stay effortless. I won’t hesitate to book this house again next year.

Great house for a girls weekend! We enjoyed the games in the garage and all the games downstairs. Had the perfect kitchen/living room space to gather and chat. Nice location and close to fun things to do around the area: dinner and drinks at The District and Polk County Pickleball. Would highly recommend and stay again!

This place is amazing. Super clean and great location. House is spacious and very tastefully decorated! Beds are super comfy The garage/game room was a hit with kids and adults! Kitchen is totally stocked with everything and then some! Forget something? They have you covered! It was perfect for our family gathering You all thought of everything down to sound machines in each room, games, extra toiletries Even games for all ages. Will definitely stay again!

Great place for a get together

We had a wonderful time staying at the House Divided!! The owners thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. So well furnished and lots extras in case anything was forgotten. The kids and adults had tons of fun in the game room and we also had lots of laughs playing games in the basement. The hosts were awesome to work with and we would highly recommend staying at the House Divided!!

The house was perfect for our group and as advertised. We are already planning to try and book it again for our trip next year. I would definitely recommend this house to others.

This was a great place all around! Perhaps the nicest we've stayed in regarding cleanliness....accomodations....house space and layout for 8 people..... and for how stocked the kitchen was. Property just as described had a great stsy

If you get a chance to stay at the House Divided, do it!We were in town for a family wedding in Des Moines, about a 20 minute drive to the venue. We had our two adult children with their spouses and one set of grand parents. The house was perfect for our stay. Plenty of room to spread out, including a fun filled game garage and a full furnished basement with a large flat screen TV and a game corner filled with board games. Well stocked kitchen with cookware, drink ware, and dishes / flatware. Grocery stores and all kinds of restaurants are close by including Costco. The new home was spotless! The owner, Matt, promptly answered questions before our stay, and then checked in the first morning to be sure we were settled. This is one of the most comfortable and cleanest VRBO's we've stayed in!

You know how photographers can use lensing tricks to make a house & its rooms appear more grand than they are? That is NOT the case with House Divided. The photos as presented on the Vrbo listing are a completely true depiction of the spaces inside & out. The house feels brand new, and it was SPOTLESSLY clean. Kitchen was full of all we needed to prepare our own meals. Decor throughout the house was clean & modern. The game room (see pictures!) was great fun - lots for everyone to do. The BRAND NEW hot tub was a big hit with our gang. It was already heated and ready for us to use. 3 full bathrooms easily took care of our party of 7. Though our choice of the Des Moines area was based on our having graduated from Drake U. (and, thus, we were having a reunion,) we're actually thinking of rationales to go BACK... just to enjoy House Divided! And, btw, the owners are very quick to respond to any inquiries, and they couldn't have been more helpful. I, as the organizer of our trip, was complimented many times for the choice of House Divided. Go and have fun!

We stayed here for our daughter’s graduation from Iowa State. It was a perfect place for our family’s gathering. Clean, comfortable, and extremely well appointed. It had everything we needed and we loved the game room and family game space downstairs. There was plenty of room to spread out, and plenty of seating for everyone to feel comfortable. Had our daughter not just graduated, this would be our go to location for future school visits and football weekends. Lovely stay.

My family was in town for our Nephew’s wedding. House Divided provided perfect spaces for us to gather in between the rehearsal dinner and wedding. The hot tub was a welcome treat after many hours of dancing! There were plenty of bedrooms for everyone to be comfortable. The host was fantastic at communicating and has thought of every detail.

Stop searching for other homes and book this one now! With 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, there's plenty of space for everyone. After staying in various places around Ankeny over the years, my friends and I all agree this has been the best one yet. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay exceptional—plenty of amenities, entertainment options, huge TVs, a fully stocked kitchen with extra appliances like an air fryer and crockpot, noise machines in each bedroom, and so much more! The beds are super comfortable, and the showers are fantastic. Plus, the location is perfect, situated in a peaceful neighborhood. We'll definitely be back here in the future!

This house blew any other home we have stayed at out of the park! So clean, cute decor and amazing amenities!! They have really thought of it all!! Hands down the best experience. This home is fun and comfortable for those of all ages. Would recommend to anyone and hope to return some day!!

Our stay at House Divided was phenomenal! The house was perfect for our needs. They even thought of the little things… multi-outlets on each side of every bed, sleeves and holders for the remotes, etc. It made for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. If our family is ever in the area we will no doubt be staying at House Divided again!
