The Space:

A unique experience awaits you at The Historic Tattnall House, offering the luxury and privacy of this historic home for 4 people with a lush, private courtyard!

Built in 1853, this beautiful 2-story brick home accommodates up to 4 people. It includes 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with a separate dressing room, a lovely living room and adjoining dining room. Through the kitchen with it's original exposed brick wall you'll find the private courtyard and seating.

Tattnall House is located in one of the most beautiful sections of downtown near the famously appointed America's Most Beautiful Street Jones Street. The owners are film & TV set designers and have meticulously preserved this home.

Upon entering the foyer, guests will note the kitchen walls and side walls of dining and living rooms feature the original exposed brick walls and wide plank hardwood floors standing since 1853.

The living room is full of natural light facing Tattnall Street and decorated with period antique furniture and the original fireplace (does NOT work). The original pocket, sliding doors open to the dining room also outfitted with vintage furniture.

The kitchen is updated with dishwasher, oven, fridge, microwave and a drip coffee maker. There is a bistor table beside windows overlooking the private courtyard. The side door leads to the courtyard where there is another bistro table to enjoy the flora and cup of coffee or evening beverage!

The original hardwood stairs lead up to the 2nd floor where there are 2 full bedrooms, both outfitted with queen beds. The front bedroom has a lovely little dressing room that would have originally been used for infant sleeping or as a trunk room.

The 2nd queen bedroom has the washer/dryer and guests are welcome to use. The shared bathroom is on the left with a beautiful vintage dressing table turned into a vanity. The vanity room has a door that separates it from the bath where we have a tub/shower combo and features a bidet.

The property is lovely, clean and had everything we needed. The location is great, walkable to just about everything. The neighborhood was quiet. I would not recommend it for people with small children, the home is decorated with lovely antiques. But I do highly recommend it for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic, historic Savannah.

Wonderful! Stay in a historic home with a private court yard off the kitchen. Comfortable furniture, believe it or not, and 4 fireplaces. Well stocked kitchen and washer & dryer upstairs. Only one bathroom upstairs. See if you can find the secret message hidden in the home.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property!!! Every detail is covered beautifully. Steps away from the “most beautiful street “ in Savannah ! We enjoyed the private outdoor patio …. Vintage pieces that matches the historic home! 10 out of 10

Location was perfect. The house was very clean and neighborhood was quiet. Beds were comfortable. Was within walking distance of many places. The sitting area to watch tv in the evening is not as comfortable as I would prefer but understand that the decor of the home kind of makes it that way. Overall our stay was perfect! Would stay here again and would recommend.

Everything as advertised. All the amenities wrapped in a gorgeous package. Our only recommendation is to have a custom runner made for the stairs. The polished wood is slick and my wife fell off the next to last stair despite our trying to be overly careful. Aside from that small detail, utter perfection in every way

Well taken care of home in historic district, steps away from many restaurants, Forsyth Park -- but quiet in the evenings. Nicely appointed inside, with updated bathroom, and a lovely private wee garden space. Thank you for welcoming us to Savannah - look forward to coming back!

This place was nice. It was our first time visiting Savannah and the location was close to everything. As we have never dealt with metered parking, there is a space in front of the house. And parking there is free after 5pm. So you only have to pay for parking from 8am to 5pm, and it's free on the weekends. My only complaint is you have to take a quick shower, the hot water doesn't last long.

We enjoyed staying at this charming home. It was convenient for our visit to SCAD as well as dining and other local attractions in the historic district. My only complaint was that the 10 am check out time was too early and not convenient for traveling without a vehicle as we had to drag our bags around Savannah with us on Sunday until it was time to depart for the airport.

Great location. There is construction next to property with occasional loud jackhammer. Awoke one morning to the sound of very loud leaf blowers at 7:30 AM. Returned to house one afternoon after walking the historic district to find more loud leaf blowers on the property. We had to go sit in nearby square because of the noise.

Fabulous very nearby (2-8 blocks) restaurants, coffee place. A true wonder for people who are less interested in the high-density of tourists waterfront version of Savannah. And that walled garden...!! My second time staying here and I wouldn't stay anyplace else.

This cottage exceeded our expectations. The photos are spot on. My best friend and I agree we could live there happily ever after. It is very well maintained. We had all the supplies we needed to be comfortable. It’s within walking distance to everything you want to explore in Savannah. We were also able to grab parking spots directly across the street. Savannah Coffee Roasters is practically around the corner too. AND the beds were SO comfortable! We are already talking about returning sometime. It’s truly fabulous! Book it!

The location of this property is excellent walking proximity to downtown Savannah. Tidy, adorable historic home. Well-appointed kitchen. Very comfortable beds, good closets and convenient laundry on second floor (bring your detergent). Bring your own coffee for the coffee pot. WiFi was touch and go. There was considerable daytime construction noise directly behind/next to this property as of late Nov 2024. Street parking was tricky but the owners designated lot is only a quick 5 min walk away through the charming neighborhood. We would stay again.

Cute house -- exactly as described. About a 20 minute Uber from the airport, and walkable to pretty much everything you'd want to see (or a short ride). We ran into an issue where the electronic lock to get into the house ran out of batteries, and the hosts were incredibly responsive fixed it within 30 minutes. The outdoor space was so cute, and great for an afternoon wine and cheese. I think our only (incredibly minor) complaint is that the couch and chairs in the living room weren't very comfortable, but we were mostly out and about so not a huge deal.

Gorgeous property! It was in a great area to be able to walk all over. We walked to the farmers market, tons of great restaurants, and some great historical areas. Over the weekend the parking in front of the house is free but during the week it is pay to park so that is something to keep in mind but it was a really wonderful stay and I would go back again for sure.
