'The Hideaway' - Tucked in the Beautiful Wet Mountain Valley.

Perfect place to sit and enjoy the view

Amazing experience. Extremely clean and well kept. We loved the pool table and all of the games. Ive never seen so many stars in my life!

Our stay at The Hideaway was amazingly quiet and peacful! My wife and I, and our two dogs, spent three days relaxing, taking afternoon walks and stargazing at this beautiful location.As we drove up the small valley to The Hideaway we stopped to take photos of the small deer herd and as we pulled into the driveway we were greeted by another small herd.The Hideaway was very clean and had all the appliances and amenities we could ask for. The stove and refrigerator were spotless and fresh and worked perfectly; making our cooking times so enjoyable.My wife commented several times that staying at The Hideaway was just as comfortable as being in our own home. The large windows in the sun and great rooms let all the brilliant sunshine in and enjoying an afternoon breeze while playing pool was fantastic!A quick drive back down the valley into Westcliffe was a great opportunity to see more deer and enjoy handmade chocolates from Lux and amazing sandwiches at the Dutch Pantry & Deli (we're always sure to visit both places any time we're in Westcliff).When we left The Hideaway we experienced a beautiful drive north on 271/143 into Canon City and had a great lunch at Big Burger World.Visiting Westcliffe is always fun and staying at The Hideaway made our short vacation even more special!

It was a beautiful house and property and it was overall really clean. We even saw some deer on the driveway up.

What a wonderful place. Excellent Communication, clean, and plenty of relaxation. It has abundant wildlife for entertainment, abundant stars at night, and a comfortable feel as if you have been there for years. In case you're wondering, my 2019 lifted Ram fit in the garage, tight, yes, but fit. Deer came up to the windows and we found big kitty tracks so watch your fur babies. Will stay again. The setting is beautiful, and the house is clean and well furnished.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying here on a little fall break trip. The place was spotlessly clean and well stocked, and the hosts are very kind and were quick to make sure our stay was as perfect as it could be. This VRBO has gorgeous views, a well stocked kitchen, nice water pressure with toasty warm water, a cozy wood stove that heats the whole house nicely, and all the basic essentials that you need on a trip. We had fun playing a few rounds on the pool table too! We loved the fact that this place is remote and secluded, it felt like our own little slice of heaven for a few days. Very peaceful and quiet. Just keep in mind the nearest town is 30-45 minutes away, and you will drive 7 miles of very well maintained gravel roads to reach the VRBO. We did just fine on the roads in October in our Ford Fusion. We enjoyed waking around the property with our dog, and hiking in the Wet mountains is a short drive away. Overall, I would highly recommend this stay to anyone!

Everything was great! Very much enjoyed our stay! I would recommend the first time going to the house, make sure you go in the light of day! The road is very curvy and only dirt. GPS led me right to the driveway. Would love to visit again sometime!

This was exactly what we were looking for! A beautiful cabin out in the mountains away from the city. The night skies were clear and it was a good central point for all of our hiking and explorations. Definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

This was our second stay at The Hideaway. It is a perfect place to relax. It is peaceful and quiet. The air is clean and the water is delicious. The Hideaway is very clean and very well maintained. The large loft is cozy and comfortable. Bathroom and shower are very clean. The kitchen is very clean and has everything that you need to cook with. The hosts are wonderful. The property is beautiful and big enough to wander around and watch the deer, rabbits, squirrels and many birds. Absolutely 10 out of 10!!! Definitely want to visit again as it is a perfect getaway!

We loved The Hideaway...Very Clean and Quiet. The one recommendation would be that a King Size bed should be placed in the loft. Other than that we would stay there again.

Stayed at this lovely cabin for my boyfriend’s 20th birthday trip! It was a wonderful time!! This place is absolutely stunning and we can’t wait to come back again. The home had everything we needed from extra pillows to seasonings and confectioners. Our only complaint was it was extremely warm in the cabin and we couldn’t figure out how to cool it down. Other than that it was a wonderful trip!!(Pictured below is a pretty cool bug we saw on the porch!)

We loved the cabin. It technically has two bedrooms and that was great. Fully stocked bathroom and kitchen with everything but a steak!! So many games to choose from. They've thought of everything.....Beautiful all around. Quiet and peaceful. Loved having a pool table. About 30 min from Westckiff and partial dirt road. But all was worth it for us.Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Very nice cabin. Secluded which we wanted but not too far from Canon City or Slivercliff. Everything worked; all kitchen appliances, laundry. Even isolated from town, water was good to drink. Best supply of towels and washcloths anywhere we’ve stayed. About anything we might have forgotten was available; condiments, toiletries, coffee, etc. Wifi and tv was perfect. Everything as described. Saw deer about every day close to cabin. We had a great time.

The space and area are just as described in the listing. It's about a 20-min drive to access cell service, so if the internet is down, you're back in the 90s. :) There is a land line in the house. Our stay was so peaceful and the stars are amazing at night! Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay! We saw deer in the front yard & a flock of wild turkeys! Great quiet location, beautiful night skies, & enough property for our dogs to roam.

The Hideaway was a beautiful place to stay. Very roomy, full kitchen, a pool table, and many books and puzzles--something for everyone. We found it to be quiet and serene. Enjoyed a hike through the property and especially sitting on the front porch. We were happy there was a garage. Where we live, afternoon rain is often accompanied by rain. Would definitely stay here again.

Place was very secluded and a great place to stay

This hideaway is exactly as advertised. Its secluded with stunning views on a beautiful piece of land. The cabin itself is in great shape and was immaculate. It’s about a 35 minute drive from Cańon City or a 30 minute drive to Westcliffe. If you’re looking a for a little seclusion and relaxation in a comfortable cabin this is the spot.

This property is in an absolutely gorgeous area! It was well-maintained and well-stocked with more items than you'll likely need. Everything was clean and tidy, not cluttered. I reached out to the owner only once, and they answered immediately and provided a solution. Would definitely recommend.

We loved The Hideaway. The property is gorgeous and very well maintained. Dealing with LaVonne was a pleasure, she’s is so caring and attentive.

The cabin itself was very comfortable, clean, and well-appointed with everything one could think of. It felt spacious. The area was remote, with Westcliffe just 1/2 hr away. Deer and rabbits abounded close to the house The hosts were very responsive and friendly. Very highly recommended.

Quiet and secluded location, but also close enough to the towns to get supplies and shop local stores. The space was warm and comfortable during cold and snowy weather. Perfect for our getaway and hit the spot for cabin relaxation!

Just loved the stay here. Almost don’t want to say to much because I would like to be able to always schedule here again. The place is beautifully appointed and run by Lavonne and she is awesome. Everything was top notch for a cabin in the woods. We got 3-4 feet of snow while I was there and Lavonne took great care of everything.

Thos was an amazing short 3 day recharge for myself. I witnessed the 1st snow of the season here. Being from West Texas, snow is very uncommon. This was absolutely gorgeous to see. The cabin was everything i could have wanted. Cozy and so inviting. Loved the solitude and remote location. It was everything that i needed. I loved this place for sure.

The town of Westcliffe and this particular home are true gems. Loved both of them. The Home is tucked away in the trees, and the drive to get their is beautiful.

The Hideaway is a storybook cabin. Your first view of the cabin tells you that all of your expectations are going to come true. The cabin is clean and neat. It is supplied with everything you will need. The deck is sunny in the early morning and shady in the afternoon as you relax and look out over the valley enjoying the peace and quiet. The pool table is great evening fun after dark. You can see birds and deer from your bedroom window. The stars are amazing. The air is fresh and the water is sweet. The main l bedroom in the loft is beautiful. It is spacious and the bed is comfortable. There are maps and books in the cabin to help you learn and explore the mountains nearby.Everything is well maintained. There is even a garage for your vehicle. The Hosts are accommodating, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Your dream cabin come true! 10 out of 10 stars!

Great property lots of space, everything thing to enjoy stay. Cabin was nicer then we expected from pictures. Lots trails to explore.

We had a great time exploring the 38 acre property during the day and playing board games and pool at night. The cabin was well shocked with everything we needed. During our stay we took a couple trips to Westcliffe to enjoy a yummy Mexican food at Imperio Azteca, ice cream at Stage Stop, and shopping at the other shops in town. Visited Bishop Castle and Lake Isabel about 40 minutes from the cabin. We really enjoyed our stay!
