Really enjoyed our stay here.

We loved our stay in your cosy and beautifully decorated cottage. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, very comfortable beds and took advantage of the gorgeous roll topped bath. The quirky features- beams, lattice windows - were delightful. Expectations of us was also made clear- practicalities like refuse disposal. The quiet garden setting with just owl calls for company made for a relaxing and peaceful weekend. Many thanks.

Beautifully presented and very comfortable cottage, ideal for Folkestone and the surrounding area. Well equipped and clean - we had everything we needed. Hosts were friendly but not over bearing - just left us to enjoy our holiday. Would definately stay again.

The Gate House is on a beautiful country property co-located with a full time home nearby. The home owner was very friendly and helpful with input the nearby sites. Property was as advertised and very comfortable for 4 people.

Went for my daughters birthday, the weather wasn't great so we couldn't enjoy the grounds. We had to ask for tennis rackets and balls to play tennis, but they responded in a couple of hours. Overall the house was beautiful and clean and views of the surrounding land made it a very pleasant stay.

A beautiful property renovated to a high standard set in beautiful grounds with distant countryside views. We were made welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, a pit stop for a couple of nights before heading home via Le Shuttle (10 min drive away). Lovely local pub close by for a great meal & Folkestone harbour arm provided a wonderful summer’s evening of entertainment.

The Gate House was very beautiful. Loved the way it has been restored and original features maintained and kept. Loved the windows! It is also very tastefully decorated, beautifully bright and colourful. Bathrooms are kitted out well.The roll top bath was awesome. The bedrooms and beds were superb.Top quality bedding and linen. The Ensuite bathroom may benefit from having some privacy with the loo. The grounds surrounding the cottage were gorgeous and the tennis court was a bonus enjoyed by my sons. A big plus for us was that it was dog friendly so we were able to bring our cockapoo with us. The kitchen had under floor heating, fantastic. It was home away from home for us.

Great place our second time at the gate house. It’s a beautiful setting and very comfortable place to stay. Execellent location for walkers
