Great place to stay with kids! The pool is great to use if you don’t feel like getting to the beach. Location is very central to get anywhere else!

Memorable. Clean convenient and comfortable. Upstairs bedroom with skylights made for difficult early mornings sleeping with early summer sunrise. Community pool was great.

Perfect stay for a long weekend if you do not want to go to the beach. Location for restaurants was perfect! Pool was great for all ages. Highly recommend for a non-beach get away.

Location is great. Beach, stores and restaurants all nearby. Community pool area was a plus for the kids. Overall, we really enjoyed the area and had a great stay.

The check in process was simple and quick. House was beautiful, a few things we disliked were the dirty/stained sheets on the beds, the bugs we found in bathroom and on stairway. Everytime we cooked the smoke alarm went off. The neighbors beside us were absolutely not kid friendly. Location was great! Quick walk to ocean, stores, bike trails. The pool was awesome! Kids loved it!!!

Great place!!

This is a very nice condo. Our only complaint with the place is the fire alarm went off multiple times in our unit-- one time at 3am as a false alarm. It went off a couple of more times when we were cooking on the stovetop and heated up something in the stove. The maintenance person came checked the alarms. Removed the one we thought was making the noise but it went off again the next day. Only other issue is the community pool has a lot of kids...and little kids (they pass out diapers). Nothing wrong with that just not great for a couple with no kids. We will find a place with a private pool in the future.

The place is nice, but whoever the cleaner is should be fired. The upstairs shower curtain had mold. The Chandelier above the kitchen table was filled with cobwebs. The exterior needs a good pressure wash. At a distance, it looks perfect, but as soon as you get settled in, you will start to see the issues missed by cleaners and management. When we returned from dinner, the kitchen counter had a cricket or beetle walking on it. All in all, this place was way too expensive to have this many issues. Management did offer to rectify the problems but failed to have anyone show up when they said someone would come to spray for bugs. My next vacation will be booked with someone else or a hotel.

We had no hot water for the first 2 days of our stay. Were told that we would receive some sort of compensation for the inconvenience once we checked out. It's been 4 days and I've heard nothing from them.

The Flying Flip Flops is just over a mile from public beach access - close enough I let my kids walk back one day when they were finished before the rest of us. Two rooms with king beds on second level of living space. Extra room with two queens is on the third level. Each of the three bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom which was perfect for us. The one thing I would say is to bring everything you want to use that's not sheets and towels. I've stayed in a number of rental places around the US but this was my first trip to OBX. It took us five days before we found the small broom and dustpan. Something larger would be nice for the amount of sand that finds its way inside. I cooked spaghetti noodles in a large skillet because the only pots were for shrimp boils or the like. We also bought a can opener because the house didn't have one. They provided a small amount of dish soap, detergent, scrubbers, salt/pepper, olive oil, and wipes so make sure you bring enough for your stay plus any extras like foil, plastic wrap, pots/pans, etc..

This was a nice house, but had a lot of stairs

Condo is spacious and loved that it backs up to trees. It made sitting on a deck peaceful and cool. The beds were very comfortable. We cooked several nights while there, loved the large counter top. All appliances worked well. I would recommend a new cutting board (the one supplied is warped, making is dangerous to use), a can opener, and lastly a larger broom (the one supplied is a child size). Overall, it was great and we would stay again!
