The Far Away House: Walk to Murray River

Very comfortable accommodation, host was very approachable and attentive to any questions. Quiet location but close enough to get to all of the must do things in the area. Weather was extremely hot but we were very lucky to have a home with plenty of a/c’s and fans. Highly recommend for those visiting the area.

We travelled to Mildura for a family funeral and this was the perfect house to distract us and the kids with games and ping pong. It had a really well stocked kitchen. All the space allowed us to have other family members drop over for drink and it feel like it was our home we were entertaining from. The fire was the cherry on the cake.

We stay in Mildura often and this is the best place we have stayed. Perfect for our family and trips to the river with our boat. It was a very hot week but the house was set up perfectly to accommodate our family. We could come home from the river, unpack the boat, organise dinner and then relax outside under the pergola while the kids played table tennis in the shed. Would definitely recommend for families. Close to the river and not far from supermarkets. Everyone felt at home and we all enjoyed our stay.

The Faraway House was the perfect place to stay for my work trip. The beds were very comfortable, and with a few hot days, the air conditioning worked very well. The hosts even left it running before we arrived for our comfort! We unfortunately didn't get to enjoy the outdoor space or games very much, except for some TV in the evening, however we enjoyed our time in the house nonetheless. Thank you for an excellent stay.

Like the loungeroom nice place to relax. Kitchen/Dining works well, outdoor table good, the shed would have nice if the A/C worked, I didn't want to bother Penny with this, maybe nice with a T.V. Really liked your house. Thank You

Plenty of room, table tennis to keep all ages entertained, enough indoor seating for all, which is not always the case. Nice outdoor lawn area and secure parking off street. Kitchen fully equipped

We had an incredible stay at The Faraway House in Mildura! This property exceeded all our expectations, perfectly catering to our large family of 7 (5 kids!). The house was immaculately clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The Faraway House truly felt like a home away from home. The spacious layout and family-friendly amenities made it ideal for our clan. We appreciated the attention to detail and thoughtful touches that made our stay so relaxing. Amazing house with every space thoughtfully designed for luxury and comfort. Also, a nice quiet location with a very short walk to river parkland. Penny and Rick were great hosts with clear communication, instructions and also pleasantly surprising us by leaving a very generous gift of a bottle of wine and bread to enjoy during our stay. Highly recommend - thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Faraway House!

Lovely tidy & welcoming property with all you could need. Plenty to do in Mildura - we didn't fit it all in & hope to be back. Ambling along the Murray was a delight & very easy from this location. Hosts kept good communication & we were well looked after.

We loved our stay here. The hosts have thought of absolutely everything including some special touches like fresh milk and bread. It’s clean, modern, spacious, with great indoor and outdoor spaces. Fantastic hosts too. 100% recommend and hope to be back. Thanks Penny and Ricky!
