Stayed May 7, 2026Easy walk to downtown Georgetown while still feeling somewhat secluded. Very cozy and peaceful place to stay. It is tiny but has everything you need for a short stay and enough room we were able to put our dog's crate near the bed without being in the way. Host was easy to communicate with and the whole place was very clean

Stayed Apr 20, 2026Exactly as advertised—such a precious cottage with so much character. Being a 1920s build, it definitely comes with the quirks you’d expect. The floors are very creaky (one specific spot right before the bathroom is especially loud), so if someone gets up during the night, it will likely wake you. The bed also has quite a bit of movement, so light sleepers may notice when a partner shifts. We didn’t get the best sleep because of those things—but again, that’s part of staying in an older home and not something I’d take stars off for. If anything, a small rug in that area before the bathroom might help dampen some of the noise. For future guests who are light sleepers, I’d just recommend bringing earplugs. The host was wonderful, the town is absolutely precious, and there are so many great hiking spots nearby. The river just outside the door is incredible—you can even open the windows and hear it, which was such a peaceful highlight.Overall, a 5-star stay and exactly what you’d expect from a cozy, historic cottage—I’m only mentioning the noise so other light sleepers can plan accordingly. Earplugs would be helpful or maybe opening all of the windows at night (it was too cold for us to do that). This is a precious, memorable stay. 5 stars.

Stayed Sep 12, 2023This piece of paradise is just a 45 minute drive from Denver, yet it feels as though you've entered a different world entirely. By far, my #1 reason to stay here is Clear Creek. The cabin sits right on the creek, the view is breathtaking and the roar of the water soothes the soul. It's magical. Although the property is close to I-70, you would never know. The sound of the creek drowns out any traffic noise from the highway. The Cricket is entirely surrounded by evergreens, aspens and the creek, and you can't see your neighbors. The result is feeling like you are removed from the rest of the world. The price is reasonable, and the cabin, (tiny but well stocked) is perfect for two people. In addition, Robin so helpful and prompt in replying to questions. My stay here was good for my soul, and I can't wait to return.
