Step inside and discover your private first-floor unit. In the living room, vibrant pinks and blues create a lively and inviting ambiance. Woven window treatments offer both privacy and natural light, making it the perfect space for relaxation or entertainment.

While Charleston is known for its award winning dining, sometimes you just want to eat at home. Step into the inviting eat-in kitchen, where modern convenience meets stylish elegance. The space exudes contemporary charm, accentuated by the sleek grey cabinets and white herringbone backsplash. Equipped with stainless-steel cooking appliances and everything you need to whip up a meal, this kitchen is perfect for enjoying a meal with loved ones.

The Charles Suite features two beautiful bedrooms, each with gorgeous Serena and Lilly wallpaper. Bedroom 1 offers queen-size bed, closet, dresser, a desk for those who need to work during their stay, and nightstands with reading lamps for your comfort. Bedroom 2 features a queen size bed with a TempurPedic mattress, dresser, closet, and sconces for reading.

The unit provides a single bathroom with a delightful stand-up rain shower.

Outside, the shared backyard is a tranquil oasis, perfect for relaxing and enjoying Charleston's coastal climate. The yard offers a large custom pergola with built-in bench seating, a swing, and poufs, as well as additional Adirondack chairs for lounging and a large JENGA set for entertainment. Fire up the grill and enjoy some outdoor cooking.

Additional amenities at The Charles Suite include high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, heating, children's toys/books, and free parking for one vehicle. Families will appreciate the availability of a pack + play and a highchair. Beach towels are also provided.

The Charles Suite offers a harmonious blend of serenity and accessibility. Within walking distance, you'll find cocktail bars, dining establishments, and boutique shops, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in Charleston's vibrant local scene and cultural treasures. When you're ready for the beach life, three breathtaking beaches are just a short 15-minute drive away. Whether you seek adventure or relaxation, The Charles Suite provides everything you need for an unforgettable getaway experience.

You will have exclusive access to the entire first floor unit, providing you with a private and dedicated space during your stay. Additionally, please note that the backyard is a shared space for all guests to enjoy.

NEED MORE SPACE
We currently have 6 total units. There are 2 duplexes that are side-by-side. The green duplex has The Emerson Suite (top floor-3bd/1ba w/balcony) and The Charles Suite (first floor-2bd/1ba) and next door, the white duplex has The Harper Suite (top floor-3bd/1ba w/large balcony) and The Victoria Suite (first floor-3bd/2ba w/large porch). These two properties share a large professionally turfed backyard. Additionally, a half block down the street, we have another duplex with the Poppy Suite (top floor of grey duplex-3bd/1ba w/two balconies) and the Isla Suite (first floor-4bd/2ba w/porch), both of which share a professionally turfed courtyard. Be sure to check out the individual listings for a full list of amenities.

QUIET HOURS
Please note that this listing is situated on the top floor of a beautifully restored historic duplex. Although extensive renovations have been carried out, it is possible to hear occasional noise from the unit below. To ensure a peaceful and comfortable environment, sound machines have been thoughtfully provided in each bedroom. We kindly request that all guests show consideration towards one another by honoring our community's designated quiet hours between 10pm and 7am. By being mindful of noise levels during these times, we can maintain a harmonious atmosphere and ensure a restful stay for everyone.

EVENTS
Access to the property is restricted to only those individuals included in the reservation, unless prior arrangements have been made and agreed upon.

NON SMOKING
For the comfort and well-being of all guests, our property maintains a strict no-smoking policy. Smoking is prohibited on-site, and any violation of this policy will result in a charge of $250. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a smoke-free environment.

PARKING
You will have one parking space in our private lot. Should your group want additional parking, we can discuss options! We also have one Tesla charger which would need reserved ahead of time.

PRE-APPROVED DOGS WELCOME
We wholeheartedly embrace our furry friends! We gladly welcome pups to join you during your stay, with an additional fee of $80 per dog, and a maximum of two dogs per reservation. Because you will be staying in a recently renovated unit within a property that may have other guests, we kindly request that all dogs are well-behaved, trained, and considerate towards fellow humans. To maintain cleanliness and hygiene, we kindly ask that pets refrain from accessing the bed, uncovered furniture, and encourage the use of a crate when you are not present, if you believe it is necessary. By bringing your pet, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility and liability for their actions and any potential damages.

For the comfort and enjoyment of all guests, we kindly request that dogs are not allowed in the backyard. The yard has been professionally turfed to provide a pristine and pleasant outdoor space. Dog urine can create an unpleasant odor and potentially damage the turf. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping the backyard clean and odor-free for everyone's enjoyment.

CAMERA SECURITY
To ensure the safety and security of our property, we have installed exterior cameras. We want to reassure our guests that the footage captured by Ring cameras is strictly confidential and does not violate their privacy expectations. It is important to note that tampering with or obstructing the cameras is strictly prohibited. Any guest found attempting to disable or obscure the cameras may face immediate eviction without a refund. Our intention is solely to maintain a secure environment for everyone's peace of mind.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
We have a strict cancellation policy in place. Refunds will only be issued if mandatory evacuations are ordered by The National Weather Service or local government authorities. Please keep in mind that refunds will not be provided if inclement weather in other states prevents guests from reaching Charleston. We highly recommend travelers to consider obtaining travel insurance, especially during months when weather conditions may impact their stay. Furthermore, in the unlikely event of power outages, internet disruptions, or any other situations beyond our control caused by local storms, we will make every effort to resolve the issues promptly. However, we regret that we cannot offer refunds for any inconveniences caused by such circumstances.

    From check-in to check-out the process was great. The rooms are nicely decorated. Great dedicated parking in back. Necessities are provided. You’re in a great location to walk to cafes, restaurants and delis. Places like Vern’s, Chubby Fish and Local Provisions are nearby. Easy to walk to King Street. Publix is nearby. Would definitely recommend to friends and family for their stay in Charleston!

    This felt like my home away from home. It was clean and tucked away in the most quaint neighborhood, yet still close to so many things downtown. Everything was a short drive! I also appreciated the communication I received from Brandy and Chad. They were quick to respond and answered all my questions throughly, Definitely recommend this home as your next place to stay if you’re looking in Charleston!

    Everything was comfortable and felt like home.We didn't have a pet with us but, the back lot and sidewalks are perfect for walking one.The street was a quiet place at night.Our host was very professional and helpful.The only thing I would warn older guest of is that the front steps are steep.     The just were very welcoming and accommodating ! They really went above and beyond with making our stay enjoyable. The unit was clean and neat and had all our basic needs. I think the only suggestion I have is the comfort of LR furniture, we needed to pull the chairs over to use as stools for our feet on the sofa and grab pillows and throws from bedrooms.

    Worst stay ever.Unbelievable noise at 3:30 AM — people shouting, banging, and dragging furniture for hours like it was the middle of the day. When I complained to the host, they casually said it was because the guests “had flights.” Seriously? That’s no excuse for a total lack of respect.The upstairs guests stomped around and moved furniture nonstop for nearly two hours, waking up my 6-year-old daughter in tears. Not a single apology, not even basic decency from anyone. I reached out multiple times, knocked on the floor — nothing changed.Completely unacceptable, zero sound control, zero accountability. This place should be avoided at all costs.

    Was a bit disappointed with our stay. House is very old and has a smell. The neighbor is not the best. I thought that the marketing of the house was misleading. It’s advertised as a luxury stay, in reality it’s not. Also there’s no backyard as shown on the pictures, that was very disappointing as well. The pictures are from a different property.

    We really enjoyed the house! It was perfect for the 3 of us girls to getaway and have some fun! We were a little disappointed in the shared backyard area. Didn’t look as nice as it was in the photos. The listing didn’t mention that dogs couldn’t be in the backyard area, unless we missed it. It was only mentioned to us at check in time. We would have considered an alternate place with a backyard for dogs. But other than that, we enjoyed ourselves and the house was very accommodating for what we needed and location wise in Charleston!!

    The Charles Suite is a street level, 2 bedroom, very neat and tidy rental. The owners were very accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. I would definitely recommend the Charles Suite for your visit to Charleston, SC

    Very clean historical home with lovely design.Comfortable beds ,big shower. Shower soap and shampoo ,laundry detergent were provided. Nice kitchen .We had a great time .

    The apartment is just as beautiful in person as it appears in the pictures! The hosts were wonderful about communicating check-in, recommendations, and ensuring we were having a good time. Everything you need to cook, do laundry, or even go to the beach is available in the apartment. Itvwas an easy drive to the beach, the Isle of Palms, and downtown Charleston. Very close to the airport too! The only true negative is that it’s a first floor apartment and the upstairs visitors were pretty loud while we were there. If you are a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you, or you may just want to come with earplugs. The hosts supply white noise machines, which is very thoughtful! Definitely check it out!!!
