Charming farmhouse with own parking spot. Located near many hikes. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor aren't too far. The farmhouse location is quiet with less hussle & bustle. Perfect place for two people.

Great location to Acadia NP. Acadia Mtn Trail close by was one our favorite. Very comfy bed after full days of hiking.

We had an incredible time at this cozy gem for our anniversary trip! The scenic drives through Acadia and the surrounding harbors were absolutely stunning, and we loved spending time in Bar Harbor—it was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. The atmosphere here was super relaxed and welcoming. The food and drinks were great, and the overall vibe was friendly and laid-back. While there are other residences on the property, we barely saw anyone else during our stay. Everyone was respectful, and it never felt crowded. If you're not after complete seclusion, don't let this concern you—it still feels very peaceful and private. One highlight was the Maine Blueberry Pie coffee from Katahdin Coffee Co. We picked up a bag at Pine Tree Market and couldn’t get enough of it! We even took some home in our carry-on. As a heads up, coffee (especially opened) gets double checked with TSA. When the coffee got pulled for a second scan, even the agent was commenting on how great it smelled! We wish we'd bought more.Overall, we had a fantastic stay and are already planning our next trip back. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a charming, relaxing getaway!

My wife and I spent 5 nights here and this property worked well for us. Clean and great location - short walk into town/restaurants and easy access to Acadia. Only minor issue that might affect some guests is lack a bedroom door. The kitchen is adjacent to the bedroom and noise travels easily. Otherwise a great spot for an Acadia visitor wanting to be close to Southwest Harbor.

Cute space, well located in Southwest Harbor, a low-key alternative to Bar Harbor.

The property was exactly as described and it was perfect for the two of us. It was exactly what we needed. The kitchen and sitting area was great and we loved playing chess and the other games when we had some down time.

Wonderful and very well appointed “farmhouse” rental in southwest harbor . The owner was very informative of the area and quick to respond in communication . The king size bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed . I would happily return and recommend to my friends to stay there .

If you don't want to read the entire review, just book this place now--you will not be disappointed! Ingrid sent us check in instructions and info about the property, what was included and what was not included at the property. The instructions were very clear and we had plenty of advance notice-pretty much bring your own toiletries, including soap and shampoo. Everything else is there. Wonderful little house! The house was VERY CLEAN, no odd smells, water pressure was good and hot. Everything worked just fine, including the coded entry locks, trash take out was a short walk, had grills and a firepit available, quiet for the most part, several stores within a mile (check out Gotts for the best homemade cookies!), we did not use the heat or the TV, but we assume they work, fridge was clean and worked great, washer/dryer combo was great and there is extra storage in the entry way to store shoes and coats, etc., shower was big enough for me (6'3/220), no bath tub, plates and utensils provided, no dishwasher, plenty of parking even for a trailer and easy to get to and from. We spent most of our time in Acadia, which is 20 minutes away and around Bar Harbor, which is about the same distance. We were so glad we stayed where we did (Southwest Harbor) and not near Bar Harbor. This place is top notch, and really only good for two people. There are a few similar cabins behind and beside but there were no issues. This cabin is not super secluded. 5 stars for this one!! :)

The Carriage house was a quaint and homely building, perfect for a couple looking for a place to stage many Maine adventures! It had plenty of space and everything we needed to live comfortably. The fans were well placed and it allowed for a good circulation of fresh air in the mornings/evenings! Each window having it's own shade meant that you can allow as much natural light (which was beautiful) or have as much privacy to kick back and relax. Ingrid is very responsive, she answered all our questions in good time and she's very detail oriented! A great host for sure! Recommended for any couple looking to be close to the Maine attraction but feel at home!

We had a fantastic experience staying at ingrid’s place. She was very welcoming and provided clear instructions for check-in. Ingrid had clear and timely communication. The place was very clean and nicely decorated, and had all the amenities that we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect—close to local attractions and dining options. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like the welcome note and bottle of wine on the kitchen table. I highly recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a cozy and convenient stay.

We enjoyed our 3 day stay. The Carriage House was as described and comfortable for the 2 of us. Well located for travel around Acadia and beyond. Ingrid responded imediately for help with the internet and followed up with a call to make sure we were fine. Great to have a washer/dryer too!

Super cute place, very clean and has everything we needed. It wasn’t as secluded as I had hoped from the pictures, but it was great nonetheless. Definitely a lovely place to stay, especially if visiting Acadia.
