Stayed Aug 9, 2025What an amazing week we had staying on the “quiet side.” The house was great and much larger than the pictures convey. Close to some amazing restaurants and great hikes. And not far drive from Bar Harbor.This was our first trip to Maine and we would love to return and would definitely stay here again.Elisabeth was in contact throughout the trip and very helpful with any questions we had.

Stayed Aug 31, 2023I rented this house for my family, my brother and our parents to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary! It was perfect for us. Their bedroom was on the first floor so they didn’t have to climb stairs. The house was adorable, neat, clean and we had everything. It’s conveniently located near Acadia, Bar Harbor, Bass Harbor etc. we had a wonderful long weekend getaway with our family and my parents had quality time with us and their grandchildren. We love the area and we are very familiar with it but we usually camp so this was a nice change of pace. I emailed the owner with a concern and we received a prompt reply.

Stayed Aug 21, 2023Very comfortable accommodations on Mt. Desert Isle for our first visit to the area! Was glad to be on the quiet side of the island and had plenty of space to spread out.

Stayed Aug 17, 2023This house has everything you could ever want or need. I am very particular about houses I rent. This is well equipped, in good shape, in a good location, and is even bigger than the photos. The kitchen was one of the best kitchens I have experience with VRBO. I recommend this house. Large 4 bedroom house on a quiet street. Close to Seawall and Wonderland. Not too far from everywhere else on MDI and away from the crowds.

Stayed Aug 9, 2022Absolutely perfect! The house is bigger than it looks. The location is perfect!!! No hustle and bustle of crowds in Bar Harbor. Yet, we could get to almost every location on the east side of the island (even inside the park) within 30 minutes! The house had everything you could need! It’s the little touches that make it special and they were all here! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Stayed Jul 23, 2022The house was spacious and comfortable, very homey, with good beds. The kitchen was well stocked with plates and pots and pans, perfect for our family dinners. The yard was great for extra space and access to the herb garden was nice.

Stayed Jul 14, 2022Our family of 8 stayed comfortably in this house. The owner had lots of recommendations on nearby places to see, including her own favorites. The house had games for the family and plenty of space, inside and out, so we didn't feel cramped. Will definitely be staying here again when we return to Maine!
