Stayed Oct 8, 2024Great place! Wish we could have stayed longer! The noise never bothered us and we loved watching the lobster boats every morning. Well stocked kitchen and communicated quickly when I had questions. Highly recommend!

Stayed Sep 16, 2025If you love watching a working lobster harbor, having a well appointed kitchen, and don’t mind not having AC this place is awesome. Loved the view from the balcony and the patio in back was nice if you want to get out of the sun. If hearing people starting their work at 4:30 AM bothers your beauty sleep you may want to look at another place.

Stayed Aug 29, 2025The space overlooking the harbor of this small working fishermen town was absolutely gorgeous! We enjoyed watching the comings and goings of boats. There was some noise early in the morning but not too disturbing. The place was super clean and very bright. The deck in the back invites for hanging out around the gas fireplace or reading a book in the sun. Very relaxing. We had a fantastic time and would love to come back!

Stayed Jul 20, 2025This spot has fabulous views of the harbor, easy walk into Southwest Harbor or to the beautiful Claremont Hotel for dinner, and a relatively quick drive into Acadia. Perfect for those looking for a nicer, quieter alternative to touristy Bar Harbor.

Stayed May 12, 2025My family loved staying here. We thoroughly enjoyed all the activities on the docks around us. My five-year-old son was delighted to ask questions to marine mechanics, members of the Coast Guard, and lobstermen. Highly recommend if you are looking to have a real view and appreciation of the working Maine waterfront.

Stayed Jun 29, 2025We LOVED our stay in Southwest Harbor. The place was clean and spacious with great views. Plenty to do in the area with the main area of Bar Harbor and Acadia being 15-30min depending on the particular area you’re headed.

Stayed Jun 16, 2025We loved the common area, with a large, well equiped kitchen, comfy TV area, ample dining seating, and beautiful views of the harbor. The nearby town is very cute. We would love to go back.

Stayed May 7, 2025Very nicely put-together apt. The description is accurate. The parking is tight due to working wharf and trailered boats. 2 bedrooms total. One of which is more of a bunkroom style which you must go thru to access the rear firepit deck. Thoughfully provided heavy curtains to block working dock area outside lights at night.. Far more of a Cape Cod beach style decorations than ME oriented. Very well supplied kitchen, fabulous views to harbor. Smooth checkin. 2 sets of stairs. Would recommend.

Stayed Oct 11, 2024Our stay was great! The property is located in a great place for the views. The only negative thing you can say is that if you are only coming to Maine for the biggest attractions, then you have a 15-20 minutes of additional driving. Not a big deal cause the views are great on the drive as well.

Stayed Sep 10, 2024We were excited about this trip as we have never been to Maine. We were looking for something on the quiet side of Acadia so Southwest Harbor became the area we focused on. There were tons of listings and they all looked great but there was something about Grammys. Let’s just say location, location, location. The actual property was nicer than the photos, very well equipped and communication with property management was excellent! We enjoyed coffee on the deck while we overlooked the marina as lobster boats began their day. Hiking and sightseeing during the day was awesome but also tiring. Returning to Grammys, we enjoyed evening cocktails on the deck as we watched returning lobster boats off load their catches of the day. We chatted with several captains and crew about their day and even got their insights on best places for lobster! Grammys was as much a part of our adventure as was Acadia or Swans Island. The atmosphere, sights and sounds of the marina enhanced our trip incredibly. As they advertise, this is indeed a working marina so there is some noise and commotion but we thought that was a plus! We did cook in one night and the blackstone was awesome (had to take a break from all the lobster and butter :)) Sunsets were always a welcomed addition as we enjoyed the salty air and cocktails on the deck. The only possible draw back might be the two flights of stairs but we can assure you, it is worth it! Archie’s and Rodick’s are Captains choices!!! The best!!

Stayed Sep 2, 2024I was hesitant about this place being close to the working harbor. It turned out it was so relaxing to sit and watch the boats come and go. Noise level was nothing like we were expecting. Best place we stayed, spacious, clean, lovely decor and very private. Walked to Beal’s Lobster. A definite keeper on our list of places to stay! Easy in and out.

Stayed Aug 7, 2024My family of 5 didn't know where we were staying, and they were amazed by the spaciousness of the apartment and the amazing view! We enjoyed barbecuing and watching the lobster boats unload on the front deck, and hanging out for some nice family time on the back deck. The owners were kind and responsive to our questions. The town was really cute and we were not far from Acadia, where we spent most of our time hiking. Would highly recommend this apartment.

Stayed Jul 30, 2024This place is a dream! Our family of 4 stayed for 3 nights, and my only regret was that we hadn't booked a longer stay. I could sit out on that deck all day and night, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells from the harbor. Would love to come back and, would highly recommend staying here.

Stayed Jul 2, 2024We LOVED it here. We were so pleased with the cleanliness and how well kept everything is in the apartment. The front and back patios were amazing. Watching the ships heading out while we had breakfast in the morning and then having wine on the rooftop patio with the firepit at night made for a magical stay! Maya and Sasha were absolutely wonderful and had some great tips on how to make the most of our stay. We definitely recommend hiking in Acadia and taking a fishing or sightseeing trip with Island Cruises in Bass Harbor.
