Stayed Aug 12, 2025The Bungalow was a great place to stay for our visit to Acadia. It was clean, comfortable, had everything we needed, and two deer greeted us when we came back for the day.

Stayed Sep 3, 2024Perfect cozy place to stay while visiting Acadia. We were able to eat breakfast, pack a lunch and spend the day in the park hiking and biking.....and then return for dinner and a good night's sleep. Quiet, great location, clean, all the things you'd need in a kitchen without being cluttered. Laundry was a bonus. Clear instructions from the host, and very responsive to any questions. Highly recommend staying in Southwest Harbor - so much more quiet and relaxing, while still close to everything.

Stayed Jun 11, 2024Quiet side of the island near coffee shops, ice cream shop, and Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Clean with comfortable chairs for lounging and reading. Kitchen equipped for our needs of assembling sandwiches and storing cold drinks. Loved having access to washer and dryer. The only improvement would be a preference…firmer mattress with breathable cotton sheets.

Stayed Jun 3, 2023The Bungalow was perfect for the two of us. We appreciated staying on the quiet side of the island. It wasn't difficult to get to Bar Harbor, but we enjoyed visiting the Southwest Harbor shops and restaurants, too. We had breakfast at the Clark Point Cafe, which had only recently opened, and it was terrific! It was so nice to have a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. We would definitely stay there again!

Stayed Jun 6, 2026The Bungalow was a sweet little gem in Southwest Harbor! The cottage was clean, had a super comfortable bed and felt secluded from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. The location provided easy access to Acadia and nearby attractions. If we are fortunate enough to return to the area, we would absolutely stay at The Bungalow again!

Stayed May 21, 2026This was a wonderful property to stay at if you plan on visiting Southwest Harbor. My wife and I were looking for a quiet property on the Quiet Side of the Island and we found this gem that fit our trip perfectly. We wanted a property that we could unwind at night after long days of visiting Acadia, eating lobster and taking plenty of pictures. The property was welcoming and cozy. We really enjoyed having a full kitchen to make our breakfast and dinner meats at. We would definitely consider staying here again next time we come out this way.

Stayed May 15, 2026We loved staying at the Bungalow for 3 days recently. It was clean and very comfortable. A highlight was a washer/dryer unit, so convenient. The bungalow is set back and in a good location to a grocery store and some restaurants. We hope it is available the next time we go to Mount Desert Island.

Stayed Oct 11, 2025Everything was clean and easily accessible. The kitchen supplied just about everything we needed for our 4 night stay. We just needed to purchase perishables. The location was perfect, close to Acadia National Park but on the quieter side. We even saw 3 deer right on the property!

Stayed Sep 3, 2025We loved the location and having a washer and dryer with soap provided! The Bungalow was very clean and the reason I gave it a 4 rather than a 5 is because the furniture was stained, the couch was bumpy from the springs and the bedspread didn’t smell fresh. The place itself was quite cool with the old wood mixed in the structure. The kitchen is beautifully redone and is well stocked. The bed was comfy although it is a very tight room for space. The bathroom was very clean and spacious. We would stay here again if in the area.

Stayed Aug 29, 2025The bungalow was a great way to see all Acadia has to offer while staying separate from the business of Bar Harbor. The unit is cozy and has plenty of stocked appliances. Southwest Harbor is a hidden gem and still close to any sights you have on your agenda.

Stayed Aug 5, 2025This was the perfect amount of space for my husband and I. We spent most days exploring the many lovely areas nearby. As Floridians, we were a bit surprised there was no air conditioning, but honestly we didn't need it! It was a great homebase!

Stayed Jun 17, 2025I met some friends in Southwest Harbor for a photography trip and my stay was at The Bungalow. Everything about the place was just as advertised. It was a great space for one or two people. I really loved the location, just a few blocks from shops and restaurants but far enough away that pulling out into traffic wasn’t a problem. I had a tiny glitch when I first got there (all on me) and when I reached out I had an answer within minutes. Would definitely recommend and will stay again if I ever get back to Acadia!

Stayed Sep 21, 2024We enjoyed our stay at this adorable cottage. It had everything we needed and is in a great location, especially close to the Bass Harbor lighthouse. The biggest challenge we faced was the size of the shower and bedroom... they're pretty tight for a 6'5 man. But everything was clean and accurately described. We appreciated this lovely place!
