The Artists' Yellow Beach Cottage

Excellent location. Close walking/biking distance to restaurants, shops, beach, park. Very cozy and well stocked. The description of cluttered grandma’s beach shack was accurate and honest. It is an old property, with lots of personal items. The restroom was new and everything else was acceptable. We had access to bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, and much of what you would need for a beach vacation. Street parking was never an issue during our stay. Owner was very nice and responsive. Would definitely go there again.

Excellent Corona del Mar location. Very quick walk to beach. Super quiet, even on New Year's Eve!Just a note- this cottage does not have an en-suite bathroom. Wasn't an issue for us but might be for some.

A charming cottage in a great, quiet location.

Located on a quaint street with lovely homes, the vintage cottage’s original Chambers range and kitchen cabinets took me back to a more peaceful time. The new sink and dishwasher were perfect for the space. A cook will love this kitchen! Renovated with care and attention to convenience, the bathrooms had quality fixtures that fit in with the historic charm. The rooms are small but well furnished, and storage space is adequate. Literally everything you need for an enjoyable time in Newport Beach is provided, and we did not have time to take advantage of everything. We loved it!

The cottage is adorable! It is very well furnished with antiques and is quite comfortable. Great beds too. Fully equipped kitchen.

We had wonderful mid-September beach weather and enjoyed outdoor meals throughout our stay. This is not a sterile rental but a family home. It reminded me of my CDM grandmother's home in many ways. Great shower with great water pressure! Lots of homey touches.

This is a cottage built sometime ago and modernized over time so that it is quite livable and charming. There is no a/c but it's located in line with ocean breezes and is comfortable.The cottage is on the cul de sac end of Dahlia Street and is private and quiet. Both downtown shopping, restaurants and the beach are within walking distance. As a result, except for visits to Laguna Beach and the state park on the way, we walked which is generally our preference.

My wife and I and our Son stayed at the yellow cottage for about 5 days. It is a wonderful place and we had a great time. We didn't cook while we were there, but there is everything you need if you wanted to. We were all impressed with this nice little cottage and it's location is excellent. Close enough for a short walk to several beaches. We were able to park close every day. We would definitely rent again - the owners were wonderful with great communication.

It was just perfect. I need some down time and the neighbor is very quite dead end street so no traffic. Love this cozy home The stove is old style and super nice to use I just loved it.

Exceptional stay, great location and house

This cottage was perfect for our trip to Newport Beach. Just a short walk to a gorgeous beach or to restaurants, coffee, or anything else you may need. Quiet, safe, and comfortable. Exactly what we needed. The hosts were quick to answer any questions and very helpful.

My family (me, my wife, and daughter) have been staying here for over 10 years, since my daughter was very young. It feels like our second home. It is very clean and comfortable. It's well decorated and has all the amenities, including a new half-bathroom. It has a relatively small footprint, so don't stay if you are looking for something big, but it is SO cute and charming. It is also a quick 1 minute walk to the beach, which is great. Sherry, the owner is a wonderful host and nice person.

Perfect cozy house for quiet stay near the beach, overlooks, walkability score 100 as you can walk to breakfast, lunch, dinner, shopping and sunset. Great beds, phone charging stations, tvs, nice large table with chairs for eating or game play, front yard with chairs and loungers, excellent shower and bath, plentiful linens and necessities. Love this place! so easy to call home

We very much enjoyed our time here. The neighborhood was quiet, the house was quaint, nicely decorated, and had lots of thoughtful details. It was perfect for the four of us.

Great location in a great So Cal city. My I suggest: replace the rusted grill on there one Very small Weber. The beds in the second very small bedroom Needs to be replaced. Both were very uncomfortable.

We own the house next door, and this is this is the first time I've been inside the little yellow house that I've seen my whole life. We rented the place to stay as we came in from out of town for my mom's celebration of life. We had many family and friends gather this weekend to share memories of the past 3 generations of time living on Dahlia. This weekend was a special time for us.

Charming yellow vintage cottage. It’s an older small home but a such a gem. There was 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children under 12) staying and it was just right. We felt comfortable and at home. -Great location in a beautifully manicured, safe neighbourhood -A short 12-wminute walk to the beach and to restaurants and shops -Comfy, quality bedding -Clean and well stocked and all the appliances worked well -Easy parking out front -Turf grass front yard was a bonus for early morning home yoga or soaking up the rays -Sherrie was so responsive, friendly and accomodating. Thank you so much for an excellent stay! We will definitely return.

A nice get away with my sister to a place where I used to live. We enjoyed sitting outside & took many walks. We found the best coffee place & Zinc was our favorite restaurant. The bathtub was the best & we loved using the antique stove.Certainly, a great memory!

Everything was as described and was exactly what was needed.

We had a wonderful time reuniting with family in the yellow cottage. So full of of charm and a very welcoming, homey, nostalgic energy about it.
