Stayed Mar 13, 2025We spent two nights, which wasn't long enough to enjoy all that was on offer in this location. Suzanne gave great advice on nearby walks to spend our limited time there. Smugglers Bay and Kauri Beach were amazing. Wish we could have stayed there longer.

Stayed Jan 14, 2023Te Huia is one of the best places we have stayed in. Te Huia was a sacred and beautiful bird to the Māori and is a fitting name for this house. The view from the deck looking out over the South Pacific was breathtaking. The sunsets were spectacular. The house was very well equipped and we particularly enjoyed the surround sound speakers that we could also link our phones to listen to our music. Nearby are numerous tramping tracks and almost deserted sandy beaches so there is no shortage of things to do in area. Stay here - you won’t be disappointed!!

Stayed Dec 20, 2022We have been to NZ many times, but had not stayed in this specific area. The house, property, and views are spectacular. There are walks from the house or from the close road as well as many hikes in the area. The coast, beach, and headlands are lovely. Parua Bay is about 15-20 minutes away with a nice little grocery store, well stocked liquor store, a nice bakery, pizza restaurant, and a very good Indian food. We hope to be back.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is a beautiful modern property in a stunning location. The views are amazing and the house itself is very well equipped and suited us perfectly (we are a family with two small children). Would thoroughly recommend and we hope to be back. Thanks Paul and Suzanne.
