Portland, Oregon
This Hawthorne-Belmont tiny house is bigger than its footprint and close to everything you need to live in Portland. Stumptown coffee. The restaurants on Division and the bars on Belmont. Biketown bike share. Mt. Tabor and Laurelhurst Park. New Season's Grocery store and a new H-mart Asian Market. Powell's books and backyard chickens. This two-story tiny house has a full kitchen with a gas range, a washer-dryer combo, a truly comfortable bed, radiant heat for socked feet, 13 windows, 3 skylights and two red dutch doors.
Whether you're in town for business or to explore the city, this tiny house in one of Portland's finest locations with a straight shot to downtown and mere blocks from everything you could need or want is tucked away in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood where rest comes easy.
The house has a wrap around porch and a small patio ideal for morning coffee or an afternoon beer. For those rainy nights the metal porch roof will put you to sleep like a baby.
We have recently moved out of the main house and headed off on an adventure to Casablanca, Morocco. The family living in the main house has no connection to the tiny house, but they are super friendly so feel free to say hello in passing. They also have a friendly dog who you might see during your stay. The tiny house is being managed while were away by Wes's sister Gretchen. She is more than happy to answer questions, offer suggestions and help in any way to make sure your stay is perfect, but with a private key pad entry the tiny house is set up to offer guests as much privacy as they wish.
Nice place to come home to while walking around Portland
A snug home-away-from-home, beautifully built and nicely furnished. A few blocks from jammin Hawthorn Street. Quiet mature neighborhood with beautiful gardens and shade trees. Tidy kitchen nicely equipped and easily cleaned. Only improvement would be to raise the bed si it’s easier to exit.
This small charming guesthouse, situated in a backyard, is very nicely designed and impeccably clean. It is also, as advertised, close to a great walking neighborhood with lots of great shops and cafes. We would rate the property five stars if not for the double bed--it's squishy futon-style mattress on a platform, not a real supportive bed with box spring and mattress, and we found it very uncomfortable; we both had sore backs the next day. On top of that, it squeaks loudly with the slightest movement, which meant we were constantly waking each other up all night. If you like softer mattresses or you're traveling alone, this may not be an issue. Be aware that it's the only place to stretch out as downstairs there's a table with chairs, but no couch.
Looking to move to the neighborhood. The tiny house was the perfect spot to check it all out. Very cute, comfy, full kitchen, cool loft, nice outdoor seating area, even a washer/dryer! Plenty of entertainment within walking distance. Recommended. Would stay again.
Great location and cute house. If you like a firm bed, this one’s not for you.
I loved this place and I will return!❤️
Lovely little home in Portland! Communicative and accommodating host. Quiet neighborhood. The hammocks in the backyard were a plus. Would definitely stay again when in Portland!
We very much enjoyed our stay, including the visit from the neighbor cat. If we come back to Portland, we will try to stay here again.
It was the perfect fit for a few days but We had hoped to be able to use the kitchen but it was just too hot on the bottom level for us to sit and eat, cook, relax, or really do anything at all in that space so it was pretty cramped feeling to only use the upstairs. The property was great overall and very safe feeling. Would stay again but only in the fall or winter.
We had a lovely stay! It was clean, cute, quiet, comfortable and well-situated to restaurants and coffee shops in easy walking distance. We will rent again!
This was a super cool place to stay. Cozy, clean, and in such a perfect location. I'd definitely come back!
This place delivered on location. It was exactly as the photos show. The only two downsides: no microwave to warm coffee or leftovers and pillows could be breed quality. Otherwise, quaint and comfy.
Fight me for a reservation next time! ? I come back to Portland frequently. This will be my home away from hime if it is available. Lovely neighborhood. Great wifi. Love the decor. Many amenities. Owners were immediately available to communicate. It was close to all of my friends and favorote music venues. Convenient! Street parking only, but that was never an issue for me. THANK YOU.
Great location, many delicious food and drink options on Hawthorne and Belmont. Nice parks nearby. Full kitchen, no microwave.
Very cool space, especially downstairs where radiant floor did not seem to keep it warm. Upstairs was nice and warm. The craftsmanship was excellent.
I booked this stay for my boss- and he has nothing but good things to say about the stay. Would stay here again!
I love Portland. Always have. My brother used to live in this very area so it is comfortable and familiar. Surprisingly quiet for being within blocks of coffee shops, boutiques, and restaurants, it was wonderful coming home everyday to the Sunnyside. From the charming front gate entry, lush landscaping, my stay was comfortable and felt very safe for a single female. Air-con during the heat wave came in handy and having access to the washer/dryer was fantastic. I didn't actually know about the loft attic area until I found it and I happily did my daily stretches up there. I also spent some time in the cozy hammock on the side patio with a glass of wine. Very happy to have found this place for a much needed getaway. Very peaceful.
This listing is in a prime location of Portland. You are a very short walk from bars, coffee shops, and amazing food. On top of that it has AC which made the 100F weather easier for us. Cannot recommend this place enough!
This is an excellent clean and quiet space for a couple or single person. I used it for remote work while visiting Portland, and it has good internet with no worries of noise during conf calls. There are plenty of things to do and stores nearby. About the only thing missing is a couch or some other type of lounge seating, but it has all you should need and more.
Relaxing, quiet, tiny house. Perfect for a weekend qetaway!
The small house was clean, well thought out, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect for our stay in Portland. We would love to stay here again.
