Lewis Lodge is a stunning, newly renovated property located in the centre of Ballater, Royal Deeside, in the Highlands of Scotland. It is extremely well equipped & comfortable boasting a traditional country feel with original features along with modern amenities, parking & a large garden making for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The property is over 2 floors with 4 bedrooms all with smart TVs, ample clothes storage and luxury linen and towels. Bedroom 1 benefits from a wood burning stove, bedroom two has a fully tiled en-suite bathroom with barn door access and bedrooms 3 & 4 located upstairs are spacious whilst remaining cosy and comfortable with additional seating areas perfect for relaxing or reading. There are views of the surrounding mountain ranges from the upper floor. There are 3 bathrooms - 3 showers and 2 baths - that all benefit from underfloor heating.

There is a large dining kitchen, separated by an original archway that opens out into the living room with large wood burning stove and ample Harris Tweed seating. The front door access leads to a beautiful entrance hallway and staircase and access from the garden at the back of the property leads you in through the sun room to the back hall.

The sun room which overlooks the private garden is a perfect place to enjoy some drinks, play board games , read or simply relax away from the rest of the house. It is bright and warm in the Summer and cosy and inviting in Winter.

The large garden benefits from a dining area which gets the afternoon / evening sun, a fire pit, BBQ and two large picnic benches. There is a herb and vegetable garden that guests are encouraged to pick from in return for some light watering if needed.

Situated in the centre of Ballater Village in the Highlands only 7 miles from Balmoral Castle, the property is an ideal spot to explore both in village and the surrounding National Park. Lewis Lodge is the perfect getaway for those looking to immerse themselves in nature and relaxation with an assortment of outdoor activities including hillwalking, fishing, cycling and wildlife spotting all on our doorstep.

Lewis Lodge is a 1 min walk from the Village Centre which is home to many fine restaurants including Conde Nast's Restaurant of The Year 2023, traditional shops, cafes and pubs. Whether you prefer to relax by the fireside with a drink in the Arms or dance the night away with live music in the Balmoral Bar, there are plenty of options for those looking for some local hospitality. You will find Sheridan's the Butcher, bakery and deli all serving local produce. We are only a five minute walk to the River Dee and Ballater Golf Club.

Ballater provides multiple options for walkers, climbers, whisky enthusiasts, golfers, castle connoisseurs, fishers and bird watchers. Bike hire and a tourist information centre are found in the village as well as many outdoor stores to kit you out for our four seasons in one day Scottish weather. The beautiful Albert & Victoria Halls can be found in the village square along with the old Ballater Railway Station - now a library, restaurant & cafe complete with Queen Victoria's waiting room.

Royal Lochnagar Distillery is a 15 min drive away en route to the picturesque village of Braemar where the world famous Fife Arms awaits alongside a patisserie and chocolate shop - where you can watch the local chocolate being hand made.

During the Summer months Ballater plays host to The Highland Games, the annual Duck Festival, Victoria Week and many other festivities and events in the Village Green. Winter showcases the beauty of the village with the Winter Festival bringing the community together to celebrate the magic of Christmas.

    Brilliant property. Large and good facilities . Space for youngsters (4 teenagers) and ourselves plus sons in law and daughters to enjoy time together . ( 4 members sleeping elsewhere but enjoyed eating and entertaining with us) garden space was fantastic Bedding ,towels, equipment all superbSmall niggle 3 dishwasher tablets seemed a bit mean for three nights! You could do with some decent wine glasses not necessarily expensive just proper wine glassesThanks again.

    Accommodation was of a very high standard and would totally recommend anyone to stay here. Great location near ballater centre; you would definitely not be disappointed if you booked here
