Unique tiny house with wood fired roll top bath in heart of the Cairngorms

It was exactly what we thought it would be, adorable lots of love put into the workmanship.

Really was a fantastic stay! We had 2 nights there but wish we had booked for longer! They have done it so well! Looks just like a “tiny house” from the outside, yet they have utilised the space inside… it feels lovely and spacious! Comfy bed with sky light (if you are lucky enough for a starry night - you’re in for a treat) 30 min drive to glenshee ski centre and 5 mins from Ballater which is a lovely little town with walks and mountain biking on the doorstep! Great little outside Woodburner bath to top it off too. If we end up that way again we will be back for sure ?

The inside of the house was very clean. We did have issues with the plumbing on the first day, but a handy man came over almost immediately, followed by the owner. The issue was resolved in short order. The handy man even took off his shoes before entering! The design of the house was very clever, with lots of details accounted for. The upstairs bed was very comfy - the second one less so - but it did the trick.Karl and Bess couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, even giving us local tips and ideas of places to see.

Beautiful tiny house situated next to a lovely garden just outside the quaint town of Ballater in the Scottish Highlands. The loft bed with a large window and skylight made it seem like we were sleeping in a treehouse with spectacular morning views of the hills. Really cool that it was all ecologically sustainable. There was a lovely vegetable and flower garden right next to the house. The only improvement I would suggest is replacing the scratched Teflon pans to avoid the health problems associated with Teflon.

It's hard to put into words, but this quaint little hut housed some very special memories. It's a really nicely designed and well located place with lots of amazing local walks. Having the opportunity to see the night sky and all its stars without any light pollution was a real bonus.

The wee cabin was a very cosy stay for my partner and I, exactly what we were looking for on our weekend in the Cairngorms. Even though the weather was tough going, the hot tub is well sheltered so we happily jumped in to unwind both evenings. The cabin has everything you need and its all within arms reach, giving a taste of comfortable vanlife without having to worry about emptying the toilet or finding parking! The shower was great, the upstairs bed is very cosy with beautiful views from the windows and the woodburner heats the place up in no time. Next time, it would be great to see some wee lights along the path to guide you back from the hot tub at night, and a few firelighters would make lighting the wee stove a bit more foolproof. Thanks for hosting a wonderful weekend!

Absolutely loved this Tiny House experience! Everything you need in compact size! Toasty warm with the wood fire and loved the eco friendliness! Fulfilled a dream of staying in a Tiny House….now I want one!! ?
