Designed in 1890 by Hyman Witcover, the architect behind Savannah's iconic gold-domed City Hall, The Simon is one of the most beautifully preserved Queen Anne Revival homes in the Historic District. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and built for Simon P. Kehoe, son of beloved iron works founder William Kehoe, the estate has been thoughtfully restored to honor every original detail while welcoming up to twelve guests in the kind of style that Savannah does better than anywhere.

Wraparound porch. Formal dining for ten. Original tiger oak mantles with ornately carved faces. Leaded glass windows that throw rainbow prisms across the parlor on sunny afternoons. The Simon is the rare vacation rental that actually lives up to its photographs, and then some.

The location alone would be enough. Just off Lafayette Square in the heart of Savannah's Historic District, the city's best addresses are practically at the front door: the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, the Hamilton-Turner House, and the Andrew Low House are steps away. Pinkie Masters, McDonough's, and Hitch are around the corner. Walk a few squares south and you'll find Forsyth Park, a weekly farmer's market, and great coffee. Less than half a mile away: the SCAD campus, Savannah Theatre, the Davenport House Museum, the Owens-Thomas House, and Leopold's Ice Cream.

Inside, the sun-filled parlor overlooks Harris Street and the wraparound front porch, anchored by the home's architectural crown jewel — an original tiger oak mantle with ornate columns and intricately carved faces. A Sonos system keeps the atmosphere going throughout. The fully equipped kitchen comes stocked with stainless steel appliances, high-end cookware, and a cocktail and coffee bar built for slow mornings and long evenings alike. When it's time to gather, the choices are generous: the in-kitchen table, an intimate breakfast nook, a formal dining room that seats ten, or the porch — which, after one coffee out there, becomes the obvious answer every time.

All five bedrooms are open and airy, with high ceilings, tall windows, and the kind of quiet that only comes from thick historic walls. The first-floor primary offers a king bed, an en-suite bath with walk-in shower, and private access to the side porch. Upstairs, the second bedroom tucks a king bed into a signature Queen Anne bay window alongside an original fireplace and private dressing nook. The third has another king, an original fireplace, and beautiful leaded glass. The fourth is cozier in scale, a queen bed and a colorful original fireplace. The second-floor primary features a king bed, an en-suite bath, and a view of the Cathedral spire, with an adjacent bonus den fitted with a queen sleeper sofa and desk for those who need a little more room. Two full baths serve the first floor; two full baths serve the second. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, YouTube TV, Smart flat-screen TVs in every bedroom, a washer and dryer, and Nu-Calgon iWave air purifiers are all included.

Some guests never make it past the wraparound porch. Harris Street below, live oaks overhead, Savannah at its most unhurried. Honestly, we understand.

This was a fabulous location and a charming house to stay in. Everyone in our group was very glad we picked the Simon. The house is old, so there are some little foibles like hot water takes a long time, but nothing major that affected our stay. Location too is unbeatable. It's about a 1/2 mile walk or less to anything in Savanah you'd want to see. We parked our car on arrival and never used it until we left. Would love to stay again!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay. This house is perfect! We celabrated a graduation from SCAD and had a dinner party. The house was super well stocked with everything we needed and the dinning room was plenty big to host a family dinner. The porch was maybe the best hang out spot. The house was clean and large for a family get together. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Amazing historic home! What a great opportunity to enjoy Savannah from a home base with a great location. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Simon and would recommend it to anyone. The weather was warm, so we were able to sit outside and enjoy the large front porch. Also, it was nice to have a 1st floor bedroom for my older mother to stay. We really chose the Simon for the location and the included parking. The Simon did not disappoint, but there was a lot more parking closeby, so we could have accommodated even more cars. 3 King beds and a queen upstairs and one king downstairs could make space for a lot of people easily. All bedrooms had larger flat screen TVs and there were plenty of towels with nice linens on the beds as well. There were only 4 of us, but we could have brought a few friends. Check-in was easy, and I felt the managers were responsive if we needed them. The onsite documentation was great for recommendations and suggestions to enjoy our stay. It was very close to the Cathedral, but we also were able to walk to the water and to Forsyth Park as well. Definitely would stay here again given the chance!

Beautiful historic home right in the heart of downtown Savannah, Georgia. So many things to do right out of your front door. The house was amazing. Private parking in the back, making it very easy to park, which is a huge perk in downtown Savannah

The home was beautiful and very comfortable! Check in and check out very easy and efficient. The convenience of having our own parking, close proximity to great restaurants and bus stops were all invaluable! Stairs were a bit rough for our older group, but we managed and would do it again for all the pluses this home has to offer!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Gorgeous home, great location and everything you need to have a wonderful stay in Savannah. Parking included was awesome. Enough room for 2-3 cars. Although we entered through the back ally way and it was a bit unsightly don't worry the house delivers combining the old with the new for the perfect get away. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this home to anyone visiting Savannah. And Lucky Savannah was easy to work with.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is beautiful! I went with my two adult children and some friends. Everyone loved it, thought it was gorgeous. We all appreciated the amount of fun games that were there to play (we had a lot of rain the week we were there!) the kitchen was well stocked (they made frozen margaritas easily with the blender) and the rooms were beautifully appointed. The a/c ran surprisingly well for such an older home, and I so appreciated all the beautiful details around the home. I would recommend this home 10/10 for anyone with a large family or a large group of friends. Very well located, near everything I wanted to see. I was very very happy with the stay! Would absolutely recommend!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nine ladies from Nebraska thoroughly enjoyed staying in this beautiful home located in the Historical District and within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. The house was immaculate, the beds were so comfortable, the front porch was a delightful place to gather. We travel a lot and this may have been our favorite place to stay! The only suggestion I have is when the home is cleaned, they also address the parking area in back; it was covered in trash.

We were a group of nine ladies. The house was beautiful, clean and well appointed. There are two parking spaces in the back. We were within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The kitchen was large with lots of counter space, tons of dishes cups, and anything else you could want. Loved the large dining room, and quiet spaces to get away on the porch and upstairs sitting room. Beds were comfortable. No trouble sleeping at night. Everything was perfect and would stay again!

House was stunning, clean, spacious and had plenty of bathrooms. Beds were extremely comfortable. Location was perfect for walking everywhere however, during weekend nights it’s LOUD late into the early morning due to a bar being a few steps from the entrance to the house. This kept some of us up. Getting early checkin was somewhat frustrating since we were paying extra for it - but Lucky Savannah eventually confirmed we had it. We were not happy with the fact that we had to replace toilet paper and trash bags before leaving the house. We’ve never ever had to do this at a Vrbo stay before (and we use Vrbo ALOT) and felt a bit “nickel and dimed” especially since the cost to stay was extremely expensive (even after splitting it with 8 people). A maintenance man also walked into the back door dlthe first day of our stay, and we were a bit taken aback but he was friendly and left letting us know he’d come back after our stay. Overall it was a wonderful stay in a beautiful home where we got to celebrate a bride and all be together and bond over coffee, cocktails and snacks, but the property managers could do better with eliminating small costs and a better request/confirmation process for early checkin.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This historic home is perfectly located for enjoying Savannah. It is easy to walk to both the riverfront and Forsyth Park, and everything in between. Several great spots for coffee, food and shopping within a block or two, and beautiful squares nearby. The house itself is full of historic charm and well kept. Unfortunately, the internet was not working during our stay, but the property management company was on top of the issue and kept us informed the whole time. The house has dedicated parking, which was a huge bonus. We were in town for a sporting event that I had to shuttle my son back and forth from several times a day, and it was great to not have to worry about parking each time I returned. It was very cold when we were there, so we did not get to enjoy the porch, but I imagine it would be the perfect spot to enjoy some iced tea or a glass of wine after a long day of sightseeing- before heading out to a nearby restaurant! The bathroom layout is a little strange, but worked out fine for our family. Only two of the 5 bedrooms have a bathroom en suite. That said, there are enough bathrooms to go around and it did not detract from our stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our extended family came to Savannah to celebrate my father-in-law‘s life. The Simon is in a perfect location in the heart of the city with three coveted dedicated parking spots. A warm and inviting space with plenty of room to invite family and friends over to relax and share stories. Kitchen had everything we needed to feed a crowd. Appreciated the details like plenty of plastic storage bags, serving dishes, bath soap and TP. Beds all comfortable and the upstairs “suite” perfect for a family with small children. Artwork and decor a love letter to the city that gives this beautiful home so much history. Loved calling The Simon “home” for our stay.

The accommodations were perfect for our group. There were five women and we each had a bedroom and enough bathrooms. We loved gathering on the porch as the weather was perfect. We could walk to any of our destinations. Three of us had vehicles and there was enough parking behind the house. Our only problem was with the front door. Although the code unlocked the bottom lock, the top lock did not release enough to allow entry. We always had to use the back door. It would have been handy to know, when we received the access codes, that parking could be accessed via the alley behind the house.
