Stayed Jan 21, 2026The view was amazing. The place was warm and cozy with a fireplace. It was perfect for our intended weekend. Unfortunately, there was a water issue in the bathroom that upset the weekend as water poured nonstop until water was shut off making the stay end abruptly. We had to move houses with a half a load of laundry in the works! Luckily the local manager helped usmove into a brand new rental & location. However, it just wasn’t the same as the intended weekend so close to town.It was also negative double digits and was really disruptive. We are awaiting a reasonable refund from the property owner as the manager did all they could and more! We sure loved the local manager who was so accommodating!!

Stayed Sep 29, 2025What a great home! Perfect location, and well appointed with everything we needed and then some. Roomy, and the sleeping porch was a wonderful plus. We will be back on our next trip up the north shore!

Stayed Sep 22, 2025This is a charming place with a great kitchen and baths. The bedrooms are nice with great linens and cozy decor. There is a true cottage feel to the place. We loved the view of Lake Superior and the location was perfect. We walked to shops and restaurants. We also enoyed the walking path across the street.

Stayed Aug 7, 2025Cute House (upstairs) and a great location! Close to all shops and has a pretty view of the harbor. This is not the place to stay if the weather is warm/hot. There were a couple of fans but one ceiling fan was broken. The room and bathroom downstairs is pretty old. Other than that it was a good stay.

Stayed Jul 12, 2025Pros: Great location and lovely view of harbor! House was clean and very nice, kitchen well stocked. Cons: Basement bed was very uncomfortable -that couple ended up sleeping on couches. The hot water was scalding! It was difficult to regulate both showers to a comfortable temperature. Just a FYI: This home is not handicap accessible -steps anyway to get in. Two members of our group in mid 70’s and one uses a walker. A railing at the front walkway street steps would have been very helpful. Grab bars in upstairs bath would have been really appreciated as one member in our party had to do sponge baths for safety. Overall we had a great stay here and would definitely recommend this home.

Stayed May 24, 2025Took a last minute trip to Grand Marais. Place is very convenient with priceless views ofArtist Point and the lighthouse. Could sleep many people here. Was clean, and well stocked. Plenty to do in the event of disappointing weather.

Stayed Oct 7, 2024Home slept 4 adults comfortably. Be advised that one of the beds and bathrooms are in the basement: comfortable and spacious but best used by those who move easily on stairs. Loved the proximity to the shore, restaurants and shops

Stayed Oct 3, 2024Good location. Upstairs is lovely and cozy. Some basic maintenance needed: the toilet does not flush properly, light over sink needed, basement shower needs improvement. Musty smell downstairs.

Stayed Sep 23, 2024The location and overall quality of this space more than made up for not having A/C. We were able to comfortably have 8 people in this house (4 adults, 4 kiddos) without feeling like we were in each other’s space. And, again, location, location, location!

Stayed Sep 12, 2024The location is great—walkable to everything in town—and it’s surprisingly quiet. The main floor is also great, with a lot of chairs and tables and deck space. The basement was a bit gloomy; it’d be perfect if you had a large party you wanted all together, and maybe all the kids could stay down there, but none of my friends or I wanted to. We instead used the front porch for one of the bedrooms, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable, though the front door didn’t lock. The only other thing we’d change was cleanliness; there was an old hairbrush on the floor when we checked in, hair ties on the floor in another room, and cobwebs on the inside of most windows.
