Fantastic House In Grand Marais! Walking Distance To Downtown!

Absolutely perfect. Super clean and welcoming, and totally cozy. Brought our 6 mo old and the white noise machines and high chair were great to have. Plus you'll make a buddy with Wilbert, the sweet local outdoor cat :)

What a lovely house. It had everything we needed and more for an extended weekend. Communication with Nancy was easy. The house was clean. All instructions were clear and easy (getting in, cleanup, et cetera). The house was very comfortable. Windows could be opened for a cool nighttime breeze. The living room was cozy. And the bathrooms were clean and stocked. The ping pong table and games provided family entertainment. The welcoming bottle of wine was on point after a day of driving :)

Excellent location with an easy walk into town. Cozy cabin-feel with a lot of activities and ample cooking/dining-in supplies. Very clean and super comfortable beds. We will stay here again next time we visit.

We’ve stayed here before and plan to again - Nancy’s place is perfect for our group. Plenty of room for everyone, fully loaded kitchen for our shared meals and we love how easy the walk is to everything in town.

Amazing stay at The Getaway! The house is walkable to all things and on the way to the Gunflint Trail. If you are bringing Fido it’s also walkable to an amazing fenced dog park. Hosts were incredible, responsive and even left us a little surprise.Don’t miss an opportunity to make memories with those you love- HERE!

Everything was wonderful! Clean, amenities were plentiful, location was perfect. Ping-pong table a great addition to the place. Only complaint, the entry, step and walkway to back were not shoveled--at all. We stayed there in the past winter and they were cleared. Making it easier to walk our very old, small dog.Otherwise, 5 stars. Thank you!

Hosts and place were great

Warm and cozy place to unwind after our days spent at the North House Folk School! (Even during a cold spell with -30* outdoor temps and -61 wind chill). The kitchen is well-supplied with excellent quality cooking equipment, as is the game room with puzzles, books and games. Host communication was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the North Shore!

I’ve stayed here a few times in the past and it’s always a phenomenal place.

This is our second stay at The Getaway & we just love it. Our host is quick to respond & left us a nice welcome gift upon arrival. We love the cabin-like feel to this home in town. It is clean, has everything you need and is well organized for winter or summer. The entry area allows you to come in from the cold & snow & not drag it through the house. The bedrooms are cozy and comfortable. We cooked most of our meals in the house & had everything we needed. It is well located with in walking distance to downtown bars, restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries & shops. It is also right off the start of the GFT. We will be back as we love this area. We tried sledding with the grand kids this time, and that too is close by the house. I highly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful stay here over Thanksgiving. The house is warm, cozy and immaculately clean. You cannot beat the location, walking distance to the harbor and downtown Grand Marais. A lovely home away from home and the ping pong table was enjoyed by all! Also this home is dog friendly which was essential for us. The heated floors were loved by us and our pup. We will definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay!!

Fantastic house is exactly right! Stocked for tons of fun! Great layout. Special little places to relax inside and out! Feels very private with all of the trees. Easy walk to downtown for shopping and eating. The beds are so so comfortable!

Perfect Grand Marais rental for my family. Open floor plan allows for great memories to be made but also little hideaway spots when you need a little space.

This was our second time staying at this particular VRBO and we just love it for our family! Our boys are 10 and 8 and it was perfect for all of us to have our own room and the ping-pong table game room. It was fantastic! Well in the front, there’s an awesome fire pit to sit and enjoy and stare at the stars!Location is fantastic for downtown Grand Marais because of the ease of going up to the gun Flint Trail into the bounder Waters and going up for tons of hikes very centrally located! Communication was great, thank you!

We had a great third annual trip to the Getaway with the family (two grandparents, two parents, two kids (4 & 2), and two dogs! As always, it's a perfect, short walk from Downtown Grand Marais and a short drive from many many awesome activities.

The cabin has all you need for your stay in Grand Marais. Plenty of space, including a fun rec room with ping pong table. Easy walk to everything in town.

Great stay for our entire family!

Anniversary, Birthday, Mother’s Day, we had a great time in a very cute home! Proximity to lake and shops was very convenient! 17 month old grandson was head over heels for the rocky beach!! I would definitely recommend this place and hope to return again myself!

We were up for the weekend to look at waterfalls, which were wonderful. Your place was great.

We spend a winter weekend with our pals of 25 years in the Grand Marais area every year. What initially brought us to the area was the opportunity to CC ski. Again, this year we had to do other things, which worked out great because of this VRBO selection. The 110 Getaway house was a perfect place to be when the weather doesn't cooperate. We played ping pong, watched March Madness basketball in the cozy living room, played cards, and walked into town several times. The home is just the right size to enjoy another couple and be cozy in the north woods. The location is perfect for 10 minute walk to the grocery store or to the local restaurants and businesses. Extra wonderful to have our dogs along for the fun. We will be back!

Half way between downhill at Lutsen and xcountry in BWCA Clean, comfortable, and quiet.

Clean, very well stocked with towels and bed linens. Great furnishings! Nice big kitchen table. Close to town. We walked to the lake no problem! We would visit this again for sure!

Our second time staying at this location and it was yet again a fantastic stay. Location is great. House is set up well and very clean. Beds are comfy and the ping pong table keeps teenage boys entertained. Nancy is an excellent host and great communicator.

We had a wonderful time! We love Grand Marais in the winter. This is a great location to be able to walk to shops and restaurants, while still having easy access to trails. We love the large table for playing games and, of course, the ping pong table is always a hit! Highly recommend the Getaway!

Property was very clean, and had everything we needed for a short stay. We especially enjoyed the ping pong table, and a visiting kitty who checked on us every day. Nice outdoor spaces too, we had a bonfire one nite and it was very easy to do. Walkable to downtown and the harbor.
