Stoneridge Cottage I - Best view and walking distance to town

The cottage was absolutely gorgeous. Every room was well decorated and the kitchen was stocked. We loved the historical charm and spent a lot of time on the porch enjoying the view. We will definitely stay here again.

This cottage is so cute and the views are amazing! The screened-in porch (floor to ceiling!) is a great place to spend time with family while enjoying the magnificent view! If you enjoy having a breeze thru the house you’ll love this cottage! Most windows can be opened to enjoy the fresh mountain air!!! There are steps (2) going from one section of the cottage to the other but there are beautiful iron handrails that help if you have issues with steps. There are so many cute decorative touches thru out this cottage that make it a real treasure! We enjoyed every minute we were here and will return!!

Loved the decorations of this quaint little house. The screened in porch with fans was my favorite place!

This was our second visit here. My only regret is that I did not know about this place before. Very spacious and accommodating. We especially loved the screened in back porch and hot tub, both overlooking the valley with beautiful sunsets. No complaints here!!

15/10! Stoneridge Cottage is one of my favorite places I’ve stayed. It was quiet, quaint, and very clean. I was so grateful that the owners allow dogs, and my pup and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area and hiking at DeSoto State Park. Mentone is beautiful, and the sunsets were spectacular. It was the perfect spot for a low-key, restful vacation. Will definitely return!

Perfect place for a weekend getaway.

We loved the cottage and can’t wait to come back. We came for a lazy stay and the cottage had all the comforts of home. The cottage was clean, bed was so comfortable and the hot tub was nice and clean. I highly recommend this cottage.

This was our fourth time to stay at Stoneridge and we will be back. Jerome & Liz are wonderful hosts and have a wonderful cabin on the Brow in Mentone. The views down into the valley are amazing. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway this is the place.

We enjoyed our stay a lot. The cottage was very clean and looked just as the pictures shown. The views were spectacular! I enjoyed the story I googled about the cabin and there were pictures in the bathroom showing what the cottage looked like when it was built in the early 1900’s and what it is today after several add on’s. We enjoyed the little town and found everyone extremely friendly. We had an issue getting the heat on but as soon as we contacted the owner, the issue was immediately solved. You will love this lovely cottage!

The hot tub was marvelous, along with the view.The house was older, but well taken care of, and I liked the cottage feel of it.My bed was comfortable.My friend said that her bed, in the older section, squeaked and was just okay.

This cottage is So Beautiful! When you arrive there is the most peaceful music softly playing, the kitchen is stocked with everything that you need to cook a wonderful meal, the bed felt wonderful and everything was spotless!!! The cleanest place we have ever stayed! The screened in porch was amazing and the hot tub was wonderful! The view is absolutely stunning! This is the Only place we will stay! In fact we booked to come back in the Fall before we left! Jerome and Liz are so wonderful about answering any questions that you have and response time is very quick.

The cottage is very clean and comfortable, with a great view. The host is responsive and the rental is stocked well with the necessities. I would say that this host actually provides more than most. The lack of a dishwasher is a mild inconvenience but understandable based of the age of the cottage. The hot tub is a huge benefit but it is located on the cottage side which faces the host's personal home, next door. However, that location was the only option and the host gave us complete privacy. The listing advises in walking distance to town. Be advised there is no sidewalk and you will likely prefer to drive. All in all, it is a nice rental.

This cottage is so charming! The views are amazing but yet the home is still very close to town. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax after a day of hiking and sightseeing. I would strongly recommend this cottage and I look forward to staying again.

Yes, the hot tub was hot enough. Check the drip pan on the grill and also the dead bolt on the back door doesn't lock due to loose screw. Our trip to Stoneridge was amazing always, our favorite by far!

We loved our time here! It was very clean and the view was beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice as it was much nicer in person and that is not always the case. The hot tub was very appreciated after hiking to see the falls. Very close to town. Well stocked and would love to stay again.

Beautiful little cottage. Cozy with a great view. Very clean and comfortable. Only thing that was a challenge was controlling temperature in the cottage, but understandably since it is an old building. We would definitely stay here again.

We love historic homes and this quaint cabin was a delight. It was rather cold so we were not able to enjoy the spacious screened porch (which has a perfect view) but enjoyed the view from the large window in the comfortable sitting area. We chose to sleep in the rock walled bedroom in the original part of the house which opened into the stone

Host was very nice. The cottage was very pretty and clean. It had everything we needed.

This was our second time staying at Stoneridge and it’s been wonderful both times.

A most beautiful historic, adorable, interesting property and grounds with incredible westerly views overlooking the valley with incredible views. Loved the stone walls and wood floors and ceilings. Unique furnishings and the way items were displayed was thoughtful. The property was perfectly clean, utensils, linens, bedding were of great quality…much better than other Vrbo properties. Screened in deck was nice. Beautiful trees and landscaping. House is located in a spot that allows for nice walks and just a couple of minutes to drive to the market and just a few minutes to the state park and over to the Little River preserve.

This property stands out for many reasons. The views are stunning, the house is unique in architecture, immaculately clean, and well stocked. The hosts are next door and responsive to any needs. And the hot tub! We enjoyed scenic drives, short hikes in the state park, unique shopping, and excellent restaurants. A wonderful getaway.

Every day was perfect. The views and sunsets were better than anywhere we have ever been. The home was perfect for two couples to relax and enjoy. We will make this our annual trip every year together.

Everything was just right and beautiful. The view is worth it even if the cottage was not so well appointed making one feel welcome. I have been visiting Mentone for many years and this has been one of the memorable times. So grateful for the hosts making this property very special.

I cannot say enough about this amazing place! The entire cottage is curated for comfort and enjoyment. My daughter, my best friend and I enjoyed creating many memorable moments, and tried to capture in photos the amazing sunsets! I hope to return and enjoy all the hospitality again!

My friends and I greatly enjoyed our stay at Stoneridge Cottage. The view is beautiful. The porch and hot tub are wonderful. And it is so close to the shops and diners.

The front door was a little difficult to unlock. After asking Jerome about a couple of things, he was so polite, nice and prompt, everything turned out wonderfully. Fantastic place and serice. Will return again.

A wonderful property as advertised.

Absolutely loved our stay! This cottage has so much character and everything you need to relax and take in the amazing views. Close to town and all the beautiful state parks. Definitely coming back.

The location and uniqueness of this rental keeps bringing us back. But the most important reason is because of the view of the valley. With spring time in full bloom we can no longer see the expansive view. So we march off to Brow Park to get a fuller view.

My sister and I stayed Wed-Fri at end of May. Comfortable beds, gorgeous views, and great amenities. Modernized comforts, cute decor, yet also a lot of history and rustic vibes in the cave like room that is part of the original architecture. Extensive info in binder for local attractions. The owners clearly take great care to ensure guests have everything they need and very timely communication. Visited Hatter Cafe and Elevation Bistro in town, and several waterfalls in parks nearby. Be advised limited buildings in Mentone open during week so we missed out on a lot of the other local places. Staying on the brow in this area is a great option!

What a charming home! Stone walls, hard wood floors and lovely decor throughout. Then step outside for incredible views and sunsets on the beloved brow. We will be back!!

Perfect weekend anniversary trip. Beautiful home!!! House is right near Brow Park and a quick 8 minute walk to the mentone inn where there was awesome live music one night and farmers market on Saturday. The house was extremely clean and comfortable. So many places to hang out through the house. The screened in porch is magical- ceiling fans on and we chilled there most the day and evening to watch the sunset. Very well appointed- throw blankets on the couch and porch, beautiful sunset and daytime views. The hot tub was perfect.100% recommend.

This was the perfect place for us to stay as we attended the herbal conference. The cottage is so adorable and holds so much history. It was super clean, so well stocked, and just so comfortable. The hot tub was amazing...and that view! Oh my goodness, what a view. We had a power outage one night while we were there, so we asked Jerome and Liz if they had any candles we could borrow. Jerome immediately fixed us up and while he was there he told us some history about the cottage. We would definitely stay here again the next time we come to Mentone. Loved it so much!!!

Lovely cottage, great town for a quick getaway!

We were not able to stay due to a medical emergency. The hosts were extremely understanding and helpful.

I have been to Mentone several times & had never visited the brow of Lookout Mountain. What a magnificent view. I loved watching the change in the day & the weather. The cottage has views from every part of the place. You can just feel the history of the area & the cottage! Super clean, comfortable & everything you need!

Property was stunning, easy to get to and had plenty of things to do around town. Owners provided everything needed to have a comfortable stay - very accommodating.

A little slice of heaven on earth! As Spring Break rolled in, we wanted to do something a little different. I’m not sure what I was expecting but this little cottage & its location absolutely blew my mind! The views are beautiful. Wonderful hosts, friendly town, BEST location! So much to do, only regret is not booking more days. Hope to be back this summer!

It was my third stay in this cabin and it was just as perfect this time as it was the times before.So many touches of comfort and beauty in and out of the cottage. As always, I took so many photos of beautiful sunsets, morning fog above the valley, the train that whistles it's arrival as it crosses the valley, wildflowers, the list goes on.Truly one of my very favorite places.

This cottage is exactly as advertised. I really enjoyed the screened in porch. The TV is hard to operate for us old timers lol but we got it figured out. We enjoyed our stay.

This property was a wonderful little slice of heaven nestled away in the mountains! The accommodations were great and the area had so much to offer! We're definitely planning on returning at some point in the future!

This is an amazing place to stay for a long weekend exploring the canyon area. Mentone was a great place to stay great restaurant, art gallery and local market. Worth the trip up the mountain

My wife and I loved Stoneridge Cottage! The view was amazing. We got to watch the sunset from the hot tub! The cabin was very clean, and well stocked with basic need items. The bed was very comfortable as well. The location is very convenient to Mentone Market, so food and drinks aren’t far away. We will definitely be back!

I just needed a few days away from the hustle and bustle of holiday preparation, and this trip was the perfect opportunity! The lovely cottage in nature with beautiful view in quiet, quaint Mentone was wonderful, and very relaxing as always. Will be returning soon!

This cottage is very beautiful, provides breathtaking views and a short distance from amazing waterfalls.

A much needed rest after a hectic time. I'll admit it took some adjusting but after the 2nd day it was great. The view of the sun moving across the valley in the early morning was heaven sent. On morning we had a Bob Cat visit outside the big window. Jerome could not have been any nicer. My wife and I are already talking about another trip.

This property is amazing. Everything was just as described in the listing. View of mountains and valley was amazing from almost every room. walking distance to town although once we got there we didn't want to leave. amazing view from the hot tub and spent half a day with a fire in the fire pit. We had everything we needed and the special touches were great! Will definitely stay here again if back in Mentone.

This cottage is magical. Early mornings and late evenings, watching the sun rise/set, is just phenomenal.
