Serenity-A Romantic Secluded Riverfront 1 level expansive log cabin with hot-tub

WiFi password sent in emails was not correct. Did not see it on bulletin board at first. There is no cell service in area. It was a pretty place and very quiet. I e see old recommend it.

It was a great six day getaway for me and my wife and our two small dogs

Everything was perfect! Easy check in, very clean, great communication, location was very private and peaceful! Loved being able to walk down to the river… it was soooo beautiful!

Cabin was perfect, everything needed to prepare a meal,nice quiet area,no traffic,better be in good shape health wise,trail to river is rough,but nice clean cold water.returning from river the hot tub was a bonus.over all I very much enjoyed my stay.would return again.

This cabin met our expectations completely. It is somewhat off the beaten trail, which we wanted, and while there are other cabins in the general area, you feel very secluded. The coded gates help prevent unwanted visitors. Everything worked well and was well kept. The open living area had an elevated ceiling and there was a loft area with bedding suitable for older children. It was accessible by ladder only. I did not evaluate this area. The washer and dryer were like new and seemed higher end than most rentals. Both bedrooms have TVs as well as the main living area and there is a large selection of DVDs available, and players for all TVs. A wanded shower head was a nice little unexpected bonus. Both the full and half bath were clean and well stocked. The kitchen had both standard drip coffee maker as well as a Krieg and more than adequate kitchen utensils and dishes. It does not have electronic games, foosball, or a pool table; however, this was not a surprise and was not something we needed or wanted. We enjoyed the screened back porch, with the babbling creek down the hill and we used the double glider extensively. It has a very nice hot tube; however, we did not us it, we just didn't have time, or maybe I should say make time. The unquestionably best aspect was Robert's communication. He responded quickly, informatively, and accurately to even the smallest, maybe even the stupidest questions. Excellent owner and host. Highly recommend as 2BR get away.

So. it took until midnight for the hot tub to heat up. The TV would not come on, and the next property had big loose dogs. But, the owner came out the next day and fixed the TV. The cabin was perfect. The river outside was beautiful. A steep hike to get down there, but worth it. It was hard to walk my dog, due to the other loose dogs. I wish everyone would be respectful with their pets and use a leash. Because, his were out without supervision, and he knew that I had a dog.

It’s a great property that has everything you need. The location was great for our family get away.

The cabin was perfect. Totally secluded and delivered everything that was promised. The outside enclosed porch overlooking the river transcended you. The roar was loud and calming at the se time. It was worth the drive amd cant wait to go back.

What a lovely place to stay! My large family goes to Mentone every Thanksgiving but this year my husband and I wanted a private place to really get away from it all and this gorgeous location really hit the mark. It has all the amenities you could possibly need but if you are a streaming junkie like we are I’d bring your Roku stick. The beds are great, the couch is comfy, the kitchen is fully outfitted, the water pressure is just right and the jacuzzi was delightful! Nothing like cold weather all around you while you stay warm in the jacuzzi! We also saw so much wildlife while we were there and that truly just made it all perfect. We hope to rent again ASAP!

We love staying here! This was our second time staying here and it was just as nice as the first time. We came back because this place is quiet and the nature is beautiful. The cabin is cozy and has everything we need to cook and relax. We hope to return soon!

Had no problem finding the cabin by following the directions given and using google map. The cabin was clean, had all the supplies that you would expect. Door code was accurate, WiFi worked well, hot tub was great and the new screened in back porch was perfect for sitting and relaxing while listening to the river below. The cabin has two bedrooms with one bed being high and the other is average height. We used the average Hight bed and it was very comfortable for us. Several nice places to stop and view the river on the short walk down to the river. We would not hesitate to book again.

Everything was exactly as it was described, which was perfect. Our favorite part was being able to easily hike down to the creek on the small trail. Hot tub and firepit were both enjoyed, with tons of wood available for use. Interior feels perfect for a cabin in the woods and all beds were comfortable.

The cabin was awesome! All the comforts of home and more! We especially enjoyed the screened deck on the back of the house. I appreciated the labels on the light switches and the strategically placed nightlights.

Stayed at many cabins here over the years and this was by far our most enjoyable weekend ever. Clean, comfortable beds, secluded and beautiful can only describe this property. Do yourself a favor and book with these folks!!!!Mike C

Cabin was better than the listing proclaimed. Kitchen was stocked with nice cookware and anything one might need, clean and comfortable but the best part was the secluded location, very peaceful and the view was beautiful! Saving this one for a repeat!

If you're outdoorsy, the location itself is amazing. The trail behind the house to the river has some wonderful ecological diversity. One bed is loud and wobbly and very hard to get good sleep in; hopefully it gets replaced soon. Hot tub was nice and relaxing, as was the back porch in general. Some basic amenities missing: shampoo and soap in shower, sponge/scrub brush for cleaning dishes. I don't appreciate being pressured to leave 5 star reviews and being told it's tacky to express any complaints or discontent in reviews, when reviews should be a space for honest feedback for future guests.

Beautiful, clean, modern amenities with a rustic feel. Isolated feeling without being isolated. Absolutely perfect in every way. Will recommend to others. Had high hopes for the experience. They were far exceeded.

If you are looking for a place to spiritually recharge, this is it! The entire cabin was perfectly set up for comfort and absolute peace. The prayer garden on the side of the mountain with the comfortable bench was amazing. It was so nice to read our Bible and listen to the rushing of the river nearby. We also kept a window cracked open so we could hear the river at night. As a severe insomniac, I slept so peacefully as soon as my head hit the pillow every night. The path to the river was so beautiful as all of the mountain laurel was in full bloom. Everything at this cabin was astounding and beautiful, from the decor that the host provided to the decor that God Himself provided. My husband and I have stayed at many cabins and this one was by far the most perfect.

We loved the location of the cabin which was away from everything. The view of the river was breathtaking and very peaceful. The cabin was decorated with an antique appeal and I loved reading all the signs. Kitchen was great for cooking our breakfast and dinner during our stay. We definitely will be back for another stay!

My wife and daughters (4,6) enjoyed our stay at Serenity. Cozy little cabin perfect for small family trip or for a couple to spend some time together. The cabin was more than advertised. Truly away from any hussle and what may seem like an out of the way drive to some, but still close enough to everything. The deck on back with hot tub was great with plenty of room and really nice fans! Also, the ambient sounds of the water running below was relaxing. The internet worked great as well. It rained most of our trip, so we didn’t get to make s’mores, but the burn pit looks like it would’ve been great as well.

It always exceeds our expectations and we plan on making the trip again soon!

Love the Mentone area The cabin had everything one would need so don’t over pack like we did There is a grocery store in Fort Payne that is 20 min down the mountain. It was alittle challenging to get to the Cabin not know the area however the host contacted me immediately. The small hock down to the brook I found a walking stick and left it there for the next person .The fire pit was awesome however not accessible if you are bringing someone that has a difficulty walking downstairs or on uneven gravel. Nothing to change, the was just the way it was for the environment. My mom enjoyed the fireplace inside and cooking. Jacuzzi was a plus I would stay again and appreciated that my dog can be a part of our vacation
