Walking distance to many great restaurants, movie theatre, ice cream shop, beaches, pier.

We were in Alpena to visit our daughter and grandchildren. They live about half a mile away. We were amazed at all the condiments, utensils, and supplies in the house. The Wi-Fi worked great - I worked all week from the house. We come up to visit (usually) at least a couple times per year and are looking forward to staying here again.

Thanks to Jennie for making us so comfortable. We very much appreciated the toys and games for the kids and the spacious dining room and kitchen. The big, well-furnished backyard is great for evening soirees. The only drawbacks for us were concerns about slipping in the shower or the tub. Plastic mats with suction cups would solve the issue. Our tall folks bumped their heads on the ceiling over the steps, bedrooms and bathrooms, but I doubt that those angles could be lit differently to make them more obvious. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.

The place is as described. We had a wonderful time sightseeing, and it was nice to come “home” to such a cozy and comfy place. Lots of character!

Property was a perfect location for our annual visit to the area. This was actually our second time in this house and we appreciate the cleanliness and amenities. Everything we may have needed was available in the kitchen and bathrooms and the check in/check out process was seamless.

Loved walking to the downtown area and driving to nearby towns, beaches, lighthouses. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms Bedrooms a bit stuffy in spite of AC; windows couldn’t be opened (Be careful of the sloped ceilings if you’re tall) Lovely backyard with outdoor sitting and eating areas. We loved the house, hosts, and area! Our stay was comfortable and relaxing thanks to how well appointed the house was. The road noise was a bit much at times but we all slept well.

I don't think I've ever stayed in a short-term rental that was more intuitively arranged than this one. Jennie had thought of everything from extra bathroom towel hooks to luggage storage. It was easy to find things like extra garbage bags or extra blankets. The home had everything we needed without feeling cluttered or like I was living in someone else's leftovers. The house is an older home and very charming. It was spotless! The listing states that there is not central air conditioning, but we were very comfortable in late May.
