Spacious Cottage Perfect for a Peaceful and Quiet stay on the Ocean with Beach

Great hosts, peaceful place, house was great!

The house was better than we could have imagined and our hosts provided so much more than we’ve ever received. They had extra blankets and pillows, more than one roll of toilet paper, dish soap, and MORE! The views were breathtaking and the best part was the private beach where we were able to hunt for shells and sea glass.

The pictures are beautiful, but they can not accurately capture how beautiful it is here. The view is beyond breathtaking, and the architectural detail of the cottage is wonderful. The gardens are the perfect frame to the ocean view. From check in to out, we were fully taken care of with great communication & suggestions for dining & exploring in the area. The kitchen is fully equipped & every room is spacious & inviting. From beautiful sunrises to relaxing to ocean waves, everything about our stay was wonderful. Thank you so much to our lovely hosts. We will be back very soon!

This was an incredible place to stay! The hosts were the best we have had to interact with. The area was full of things to do. We played golf at the Sebasco Resort twice during our stay. You can’t beat getting lobsters at Watson’s General Store on Cundy’s Harbor. The Friendly Cottage had all we needed to cook and prepare all our culinary needs. We will be back!

Great property with amazing views.

If you’re looking for a Prefect Place to stay look no further. Great view of the Atlantic sitting on the chairs, the host are very friendly, and the house is very spacious and comfortable. We’ve been here twice and will be back.

This was our fourth stay at Friendly Cottage over the past 10 years and I'm sure we'll be back! We were a total of 6 this trip and everything was exactly as we remembered. Great house and location.

The cottage had everything you need and accessible to key places to visit in MAINE. The view was spectacular, the best sunrises . If you want peace, grab an Adirondack chair and watch the happenings on Casco Bay.

Lovely home with wonderful view of the ocean. The house is in the side yard of the owner’s main house but it feels separate and private. We enjoyed outings in the area during the day and cooked dinners in the well equipped kitchen at night. Owners are helpful and responsive. Highly recommend for a scenic Maine getaway!

We had 3 generations staying in the Friendly Cottage and all of us loved it. The grandkids loved climbing down the rocks to the little beach in front of the cottage and walking to nearby Cedar Beach to swim. My husband, son, and grandson really enjoyed playing golf at Highland Green Golf Club in Topsham. My daughter-in-law and I were happy just sitting in the red chairs in front of the cottage watching lobstermen pull up their traps and reading our books. We all enjoyed sailing on the Schooner Alert and eating great meals at Cooks Lobster House on the island, The Dolphin in Harpswell, and The Great Impasta in Brunswick. But our best meal was the one in the cottage when my husband cooked lobsters for us! Much less expensive than getting lobster dinners in any of the restaurants. Everything we needed for our private lobster bake was right there in the cottage. A special highlight for my son was taking his family on a tour of Bowdoin College, his alma mater. It was a great family vacation and one we will always treasure.

Friendly Cottage was beyond amazing for my week long getaway with my 2 daughters. The location and views can’t be beat and the house was perfectly laid out and equipped with everything we needed. We lucked out with incredible weather so found ourselves on the beach almost every morning and evening. We can’t wait to come back!

We love staying here and enjoying the quiet. The spot is fantastic. House is immaculate. Owners are wonderful to work with throughout the process.

We had a wonderful week at Friendly Cottage. We arrived to a spectacular view of the water from the living area, master bedroom, and Adirondack chairs proximate to the water. The home is nothing short of spectacular and was very clean and very well stocked for our visit. Everything was as described. We enjoyed exploring the island and surrounding areas and would not hesitate to recommend a stay here.

Beautiful views, very clean and enjoyed the oceanside vibe both inside and out! Easy walk to general store and walkable to Giant Stairs trail and Cedar Beach.

This is a beautiful three bedroom home that overlooks the ocean . The path down to the shore is very rough to walk/ climb. We spent much of our time relaxing in the red chairs overlooking the ocean and exploring the surrounding area. We found several wonderful places to eat that were pretty close . The owners were easy to contact. This home is very clean and well taken care of. We enjoyed ourselves!

A perfect spot for us to gather and enjoy family time with unobstructed views of the bay and daily visits of Common Eiders (cool looking ducks!) feeding in the estuaries below. It was hard to find a home with 3 bdrms with king or queens beds for us and adult children and this worked out great. It’s within an hour’s drive of Portland and Boothbay Harbor which enabled us to explore both, the outlets and Costal Botanical Gardens (a must to see Thomas Dambo’s giant troll sculptures!!) Thank you Eric we are so happy we found your place!

We had a peaceful time at this home. It served as a home base for exploring. When my daughter left her most priced possession, her stuffed otter, the lovely hosts found it and shipped it back to us. We're so grateful for the thoughtfulness.

Beautiful home and landscaping! Loved the red chairs and the fresh sea air. Bailey Island is right out of a novel. Make sure you get out and explore!!

It was a beautiful property. The views were wonderful . we enjoyed sitting in the red chairs with a relaxing view of the ocean. The kitchen was well equipted and we enjoyed cooking simple meals and just reading and enjoying the peacefulness. We went to Bowdoin College and saw the Arctic exhibit which was so informative. Spent a day in Camden which we really enjoyed. We've spent many many vacations in Maine and have many happy memories. This trip will add to our collection.

The property and home was absolutely beautiful. We had a blast roaming on the rocks, looking for Sea glass and hermit crabs. The views from everywhere in the home and on the property were absolutely amazing. Everything was provided for you in the home in the house was absolutely immaculate.

This picturesque home was immaculate, charming and well-appointed. Sitting in the red chairs staring at Casco Bay was like meditating. Lots of walks and small beaches close by. Nice eating options nearby but not always open during our stay. We would definitely return to enjoy more of this beautiful area.

Our second stay at Laurie's and Eric's amazing property. The home is beautiful, comfortable and perfectly situated on Maine's rocky coastline. The amenities in the home are exactly what a family needs for a vacation stay and Bailey Island is as quaint and picturesque as any place in Maine could possibly be.

An amazingly wonderful place to stay - clean, comfortable, quiet. Neat location. Spent a lot of time out on the point - just watching the waves and relaxing. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Everything you could want is included. Highly recommended!

This is our second time to stay at this house and we love it. The house is comfortable and the location is ideal. You are close enough to do day trips to see all the cute areas, but there is plenty to do on Bailey Island. The yard is great to play in with our daughter (4 yr olds) and there are nice shorelines to walk when tide is low.
