Stayed Nov 27, 2025When we booked the property, it was advertised as having 7 bedrooms, which has since been changed to 6. 2 of the remaining 6 bedrooms are in the basement without egress. In several places there were electrical quick fixes that did not solve the basic issues, also unsafe and illegal-for example: a lamp placed on the sink in the bathroom to solve a lighting problem. Linens were wadded up and left on closet shelves-couldn't tell if they were clean/dirty so had to leave them alone. We compiled a list of 21 items and left it on the kitchen counter. Everything from no sheets on a couple beds to ceilings here and there with large peeling areas. Basic ammenities missing or insufficient: shower soap and shampoo, TP; hand and bath towels; Kitchen linens and mugs, silverware, no dishwasher pods so had to handwash everything with old sponges and barely enough dish soap. In the basement bathroom the shower handle was missing the set screw and would routinely come off in user's hands. The French doors by the kitchen held promise of egress but there was no exit, really. A mouse ran across the floor and we discovered a hole in the drywall just above the baseboard in the living room. The whole house has the feeling of being improved slowly with improvements not yet completed.

Stayed Nov 21, 2025Burrie was very easy to communicate with and responsive when we had any questions - from where supplies were located to where to order pizza! The location was great for going to a UMD football game and visiting our student.
