Sound Escape - Sound front guest apartment. Water access, bikes, & kayaks

The place is very clean and the outdoor area is beautiful. My fiancé and I loved riding the bikes to the wright brothers museum and local brewery. Eddie was always so prompt in his responses and made sure we had everything we needed. This place will be our new favorite stay whenever we find ourselves in the outer banks.

Very nice apartment in a beautiful home. The host made the check in process very easy with excellent communication. The location is the best of both worlds - easy access to the main road (158/Croatan Highway) and also to Bay Drive for beautiful views of the bay and sound. Short drive to Colington Island and Manteo. I highly recommend this property for a great OBX visit.

The property was easy to get to, and close to Kitty Hawk. The sunset from the deck was amazing! The owners were quick to respond to questions. Beautiful decor, comfortable bed, and very welcoming.

The location was beautiful wirh a private pier to fish from or simply enjoy the sunsets. There are bike paths nearby and one can easily ride to the Wright Brothers National Memorial.

Eddie’s place is a perfect little oasis that captures the heart of NC charm. They are excellent hosts and very communicative throughout your stay. The space is immaculate and offers great views of the sound; it’s a perfect place to watch the sunset; the bikes and kayaks are also a big plus and the area is very safe and close to everything; I highly recommend a stay here for couples and hope to get back one day

We absolutely LOVED our visit to Kill Devil Hils. Everything was located within 5 miles including the Avalon Pier, grocery stores and restaurants. We highly recommend Barefoot Bernies, Jolly Rogers (especially for breakfast), Black Pelican and Goombays.

Perfect private unit with beautiful sound views. Owners were great to work with. Easy access to restaurants, shops and the beach. A gem for couples!!!

Pristine, modern, quiet with a wonderful view of the sound.So many relaxing things in the area; beach, fishing, biking trails; Wright monument, seafood. The dock and private deck were wonderful places to enjoy morning coffee and chill.

Gave us great suggestions of places to go kayaking and biking. We would definitely recommend his place and would stay again in the future!

Everything is bright and thoughtfully furnished, delightful balcony looking out on the water. Enjoyed our bike ride on bicycles provided.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Beautiful Teal house on the Sound.

Well appointed, clean and comfy apartment with a nice view of sunsets. Just a mile off the main road, its in a nice location but in a quiet neighborhood. We loved the availability of bikes and kayaks. Also the beach chairs and umbrella were so appreciated because it was so hot. A lityle cooler too. I would love to stay here again if I return to the area.

Wonderful place, only wish we didn't have to be away so much because the area is beautiful and allowing us to use the kayaks & bicycles was a wonderful bonus to enjoy it all. We hope to come back to relax & spend more time there.

Cozy amd comfortable

As a NC native this was my first trip to the Outer Banks to discover our deep historical American beginnings. Eddie and Ashley were perfect hosts and made us feel like family!! The house and location and their hospitality were all exceptional!!

Wonderful host!

We very much appreciated staying in this space with its wonderful view of the sound. Every sunset was beautiful, as was the weather in April. We enjoyed biking on the paved trails, hiking in Nags Head Wood Preserve, and walking on the nearby beach. We also enjoyed using the new two-person kayak which Eddie put into the water for us. It was a wonderful visit and we would enjoy doing it again sometime.

The view was amazing! The place was clean and stocked with everything we needed. There was no door on the bedroom which wasn’t an issue for us, but just something to keep in mind depending on who you’re staying with. The host was easily reached and very accommodating. Check in and check out were a breeze. We had a great time!

Our third stay here was as delightful as our first. The property is perfectly located in central OBX with close access to beach, Roanoke Island, several nature preserves and most of the shopping areas. We have appreciated and enjoyed the clean, attractive and luxurious interior of this apartment. Everything we need is provided with an eye to quality. Bikes and kayaks are a bonus feature. The host has been quite helpful over the years. We are looking forward to another stay here.

We wanted to get away from the everyday Hussle and this was the perfect place. First time coming to OBX and left an amazing lasting impression on us. Host was amazing, perfect communication, clean and cozy place. The doc was kind of scary but we're not used to it. Just over all peaceful and quiet gorgeous neighborhood. Everyone was nice yet no one bothers you. Plenty of things to do close by and some great restaurants.to. we loved our stay!

This little place is perfect for an escape to the Outer Banks! It has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Access to the bicycles, kayaks, beach chairs, and umbrella make the stay even better. Eddie is a very responsive and accommodating host and has helpful suggestions if you need them. I highly recommend this rental!

MY wife and i enjoyed everything about this place. Quiet, location to our favorite restaurants, and the bike trail that we used 4 days out of five. In the evening we binged on free netflex. A service we do not have access at home. Look forward to coming here again.

We stayed in Corolla the first part of our stay and visited all of the little towns along the way from there to Kill Devil Hills. After arriving at the Sound we used this point to visit everything South. The unit is perfect for a couple. Note the stairs if you have any health issues but it was no problem for us. Eddie was quick to respond on a couple questions we had.The view of the Sound is wonderful and we spent most evenings enjoying the sunset. You will not be disappointed if you chose to stay here.

We had a really great stay. The house was located in a great location, close to the beaches and on the water. They really went above and beyond with access to bikes and kayaks. The apartment was really clean and the communicstion with Eddie really made me feel comfortable with where we were staying. They really have a beautiful home. My only negative comment is the pull out sofa mattress was pretty uncomfortable and there was some food left in it from the previous guest. We cleaned it up and it wasn’t a big deal but may want to pull that out prior to next stay. The sunsets here are a huge bonus! Thank you so much for having us in your home.
