Stayed Apr 6, 2026This home is perfect, right on the edge of the Caribbean Sea with world-class snorkeling right out the door. The location at Rum Point was perfect, allowing our family to recharge without too many distractions but fantastic dining and entertainment just down the street. We loved the sitting areas inside the home looking out over the ocean - perfect place to enjoy the sunrise while enjoying a coffee and peace.

Stayed Apr 12, 2026The water views are beautiful. We stayed six nights. Almost every day was started with a breakfast on the screened in porch. Karen was very responsive to all my questions. The activity and restaurant suggestions all proved to be very helpful. Roy was so quick to respond to a couple of repairs that it didn't impact our stay...much appreciated! We loved the quiet North side of the island with easy access to Rum Point and Kaibo beaches. The villa was very well structured for 3 couples. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare several meals. A cooler was available for us to pack a picnic for an evening boat excursion. This was a great home base for a very memorable family trip.

Stayed Mar 15, 2026There was an issue with the HVAC units in the downstairs’ living room and bedroom that required us to reach out to the management several times. On the upside we had immediate assistance. The pool company stopped by while we were at the house to clean and check the chemicals in the hot tub. The house was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, there was plenty of towels, and the easy beach to water access to snorkel (saw a lot of fish) was a big bonus! There are a few things I’d would suggest for the owners would be to place rubber mats at the doors, on the inside, of the screened in porch. It rained a couple days and the water would pool up on the tile floor, making it extremely slippery. Two, place liquid soap bottles in the bathrooms to wash hands. Third, maybe think about installing a swimming pool. Some of the days the water was too rough to swim in and it would have been nice to have a pool. And finally, have someone come rack the beach multiple times a week when the sea grass is heavy. By the end of our week stay the beach was covered with at least 5 feet deep by a foot high of the smelly grass.

Stayed Mar 7, 2026The property and location was beautiful. It far exceeded our expectations. Ocean views throughout the home. Probably one of the most lovely rentals we have stayed in. The property managers were quick to respond to any of our questions. It was very clean and thoughtfully planned out for sleeping areas and family gathering space. The accessibility to great snorkeling was a big plus. Thank you for an enjoyable stay and a very memorable family vacation!

Stayed Jan 14, 2026The view of the ocean was spectacular and was featured from almost every room of this beautiful home. The main living area was quite large, with multiple gathering areas. It was perfect for our family as we could all easily gather without feeling crowded. The home was very clean and well equipped with just about anything we might need. The host was helpful and responsive at all times. This was an exceptional experience that we can easily recommend.

Stayed Nov 8, 2025Our stay at So Serene could not have been more perfect. The house is lovely, spacious, beautifully appointed, and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Having a screened porch overlooking the ocean was perfect, we spent every day there. The location overlooking the beach provides stunning ocean views and felt extremely private, we only saw one or two people walking along the beach in that location. We enjoyed snorkeling along the reef right in front of the house, and enjoyed the warm hot tub on the terrace. Any questions or needs that we had before and during our stay were responded to instantly. We would highly recommend this first-class residence to anyone visiting the Caymans!

Stayed Aug 1, 2025House is beautiful. Everything was clean. I was able to call or message the host anytime I needed something and they were there right away to rectify any issues.WiFi was spotty around the house. Worked best in living room and one bedroom. However, they did send someone to try to help - just couldn't get it to work in the other rooms. The house is walking distance to Rum Point Club which was nice to have a bar, restaurant and beach to hang out where you can also rent snorkel gear and jet skis. There is also a gift shop at Run Point Club. The local grocery is a few minute drive if you need anything. The shore is a little rocky just behind the house - but you can walk past with swim shoes to snorkel because it is shallow. However - be sure to use a pool noodle or have someone in the kayak with you when snorkeling just off the house because boats and jet skis do pass by close to the house.

Stayed Jul 28, 2025We were impressed with how quiet the location is. We decided to try a house instead of a resort and it paid off. With two active teens, we did plenty of excursions but they really loved chillin on the porch. The breeze is constant and its always pleasant. The Seaweed and rocks at the beach are a bit of an obstacle, but we still snorkled a ton and saw some great things! if you aren't a morning person, you are missing out on INCREDIBLE sunrises! Overall, a great family getaway. Pack masks and fins!

Stayed Jul 17, 2025The house, location and hot tub were amazing. We stayed during high seaweed season which was a little different but if you go out snorkeling beyond the seaweed it’s amazing.( also it did not stink like other parts of the island). We saw stingray, schools of squid , tons of fish, giant lobsters etc.. starfish point is close for great sunsets but we took a ton of pics on our own beach too. It’s quiet, beautiful and has a pleasant wind. The rooms in the house are huge with a couch bed in each; my kids didn’t want to leave. We cooked almost every night, played cards at the dining table, played music on the speakers and utilized the hot tub several times a day. I highly recommend this house if you are looking for a splurge for a fun family vacation. Also botanical gardens and stingray city are definitely worth a visit. Enjoy!

Stayed Jul 5, 2025An Unforgettable Stay at So Serene – Grand Cayman Perfection!Staying at So Serene felt like stepping into a dream. The home itself is stunning—immaculately appointed with every detail thoughtfully curated, yet it still feels warm and welcoming, as if a dear friend handed you the keys to their luxurious island retreat. The views are nothing short of breathtaking. Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee or watching the sunset, the endless horizon and turquoise waters leave you in awe. And the snorkeling? Incredible. Just steps from the back door, we encountered lionfish, barracuda, lobster, stingray and a colorful array of marine life that made every swim feel like an adventure. The Kayaks made getting closer to the reef a breeze. This is more than just a vacation rental - So Serene is a true slice of paradise!

Stayed May 14, 2025The layout of So Serene is perfect for couples traveling together. It is a beautiful home with everything you need for your stay. We enjoy being away from the touristy areas to experience all that our destination has to offer, without crowds. So Serene did not disappoint. The home is perfectly located in a quiet area, but not too far from East End restaurants and Rum Point. We all brought our own snorkel gear. We checked in, dropped our bags, put on our suits and hit the water. We snorkeled right out the back door multiple times during our stay and snorkeled along the gentle current over to Rum Point several times. It's close enough to walk back. We did travel to the West side on a couple of days that ships weren't in and it was less than an hour drive. Everyone on the So Serene team was a delight to work with. We would all stay here again in a heartbeat.

Stayed Apr 19, 2025So Serene is just what it looks like, and is a true gem! We were two families (4 5) with kids between 10 and 16. The hot tub was used quite a bit, and is an amazing place to relax after whatever activity you choose during the day. There is a reef right off the house that is a drift-snorkel that we explored all week. The house is on the windward side, so there can be chop unsuitable for any non-strong swimmers to get out past the sea grass to the reef.Rum point is a beautiful and quiet area away from the crowds. Make sure to book your tours from Rum Point to avoid a drive around the island. Trips we loved:- Cristal Caves- Swimming in Bioluminescent Bay- Swimming with the Stingrays - Kite Sailing (note: It's 1 hr drive to Barker Beach)- Cemetery beach Snorkeling in calmer waters than off the property. The management of this property is top notch and they responded (and resolved) right away to our requests for additional bedding and issues with the hot tub.6 Stars.

Stayed Mar 15, 2025A beautiful home in a peaceful, tranquil part of a stunning island. My family and I - my wife, my brother and sister-in-law and 2 kids had a lovely stay at So Serene. The house was large and perfect for this amount of people - plenty of beds and lots of room to spread out. The views from the home over the Ocean are spectacular - visible from every window and so calming. Likewise, the beach that the home backs up to was so quiet and peaceful. It was lovely to sit on the beach chairs at the end of the day and just listen to the Ocean. The location was the perfect balance between being away from the hustle and bustle of Georgetown while still having easy access to all the necessities - groceries etc and some great restaurants. Definitely one of my favorite places to stay to date. We're already planning our return trip!

The house was clean and the accommodations were very comfortable. And we loved the view!Check-in process went smoothly and we had no trouble communicating with the caretaker for whatever little questions came up. Highly recommended!

Stayed Feb 8, 2025The villa is very comfortable, clean and well stocked. It is located in the very quiet and secluded neighborhood, away from 7 mile crowds and traffic. We had a slight issue with the air conditioning in the main area, and it was resolved within an hour of calling the property manager. Roy was great and very helpful. We have thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, the sunroom and main area. Our only suggestion would be to update the mattress in the master bedroom. The old mattress is not very comfortable.
