'Singing Sands' at Arch Cape: Private Ocean Front Beach House

Highly recommend Singing Sands! Very clean, comfortable home with an incredible location….we love everything about Singing Sands!!

We have been going to Singing Sands for 14 years now so you know we love everything about it! Located at our favorite beach, this house is situated close enough to headland for low tides or Long Beach walks north where you can get to Hug Point and beyond at low tide. Love how house is not fancied up. It’s classical comfortable 60’s era and has everything you need.

The location is the star! Right on the beach. The house is very clean and comfortable. The living room is spacious with lots of seating. The bedrooms all have ocean views with comfy beds.

Great stay, as usual. Beach access is perfect, kids jumped in the ocean, tide was out low enough so we could walk through the arch to Cove Beach, etc. House clean and has everything we need. We’ve been coming back for 10 plus years.

We have been fortunate to stay at Singing Sands for a few years...Every visit has been wonderful. The host, Patty. thinks of everything you might need and then asks if there is 'anything else' you might like. The view is amazing, the house is so comfortable. It's no wonder that this place is booked out so far in advance. We just left and we already can't wait to go back. Thank you!

A great location on the Oregon Coast!

Returning here is immediately relaxing. Everything we need is at hand. The home and its furnishings are like a time capsule back to the 1970’s. We did appreciate the updated walk-in shower on the first floor. We’ve already reserved for next year.

The best location to enjoy the beautiful northern Oregon Coast!

I grew up coming to the Oregon regularly and Arch Cape is one of our favorite beaches. Nothing commercial there, just quiet neighborhoods, lots of beach to walk, tide pooling at low tide...just beautiful.And Singing Sands has been our beach house of choice every year for more than 13 years now. Nothing fancy here, just genuine comfort with a nice front yard and beach access. Kitchen is well supplied for fixing meals. Communication with Patty is easy. Thanks so much!

We have stayed here a few times over the years. It’s has that vintage and comfortable feeling. Read some of the memories from the early families at Arch Cape. We think my mom stayed here with girl friends when it was a hotel in the early days. Her dad had to drive around Hug Point on the road carved out of the cliff. Be sure go right on the Hug Point beach to see all the caves, waterfall, & the old road. We also enjoyed a hike through the rainforest to beautiful Short Sands Beach. Go under the bridge by the restroom at Oswald West SP parking lot for the trail. More waterfalls, tide pools, caves and interesting geology. In Cannon Beach eat at Lazy Susan Cafe or take Pizza a Feta back to Singing Sands. Kids roasted marshmallows in our fireplace. Always have nice dry wood for the fire. Good access for beach walks except for a row of slidy rocks at the base of the short sturdy staircase. Unique knickknacks, roomy kitchen with everything you might need for cooking meals, great laundry/mudroom, both bathrooms now have shower heads. One December, because of the dark sky, we saw a brilliant meteor shower. from the patio. Patty is a friendly and excellent host.

Very cozy and comfortable stay on a beautiful part of the Oregon coast. It was peaceful and private but close enough to Cannon beach if we wanted to go into town. We loved it!

Beautiful beachfront home!!

We finally found our go-to spot on the beautiful Oregon Coast! We have stayed in Arch Cape three times now and this was by far the best vacation rental. It was perfect for our family of 4 plus dog. Everything was just as described but the views were even more amazing. Every single room has ocean views and the yard and the steps down to beach were perfect for our 3 and 6 year olds to navigate. Cannot wait to book again.

3rd time we have stayed at singing sands. One of the only places that has stairs with a hand railing so all of us feel comfortable getting down to the beach that also has grab bars in the bathrooms and a nice walk in shower .

Singing Sands was exactly what I was looking for in a rental at Arch Cape. I grew up visiting my grandmother's house a few blocks north. I love that the owner's have kept the classic look of an Arch Cape house - same paneling, same windows, same bathroom sinks, etc., as my grandmother's and then filled with the owners own antiques. It is truly a gem! If you are looking for a flip straight out of HGTV then this is not the place you want. However, if you want to enter the cozy and quaint atmosphere of classic Arch Cape, with the added bonus of a well equipped kitchen, comfy seating areas with spectacular views of the ocean, and, oh yeah, direct beach access, then this is the place.

Great location, so relaxing and the kitchen has everything you need to make great meals.

Before I booked Singing Sands, I looked at the reviews and noticed an unusual number of repeat visitors. I get it! And have already booked for next year7

2nd stay here in the last 9 months, 2 more stays already on the books for later in 2025 and in 2026. What more is there to say about this amazing place...

This is our second time here. The house is clean, comfortable, and has all the amenities needed. The location is amazing with the small yard, easy beach access, and views from the living room, bedrooms, and dining room. We’ll be back!

I love Singing Sands. You can’t beat the location. You walk out the door, across the lawn, down the new steps to the sand. Had some low tides in the afternoon and found several sand dollars.

We have stayed at Singing Sands a number of times and always enjoy it. We love the quiet area and the direct access to the beach. The home does need some love, the back door's lock is too corroded to lock, the fridge was very dirty, and the walls in the dining room need to be wiped down. Definitely wouldn't keep us from staying again though.

This a great place to relax and rejuvenate. The kitchen is very well outfitted and there are evens cupboards to place your groceries. Great views of the ocean. This was our second stay and have booked again!

Love Arch Cape and Singing Sands

Singing Sands is so lovely. The location can't be beat and the house is so very comfortable and well equipped. The doggie bowls and towels are nice touches.

We have been to this house a few times now...Every time we leave we can't wait to go back. The location is the best, and so is the way that the host anticipates what the guests may need. This is a pure beach experience.

We've been coming here for years. The location is perfect. Steps from the beach and at the south end of the Arch Cape beach so that, at low tide you can walk around the corner, through the Arch and on to the next magnificent beach (Cove Beach). The house is very comfortable and has everything you would need. We'll be back next year.

Location couldn't be better. Great biking and walking on the beach. Close to Cannon, Seaside, and Short Sands. Host is very responsive to any requests or questions.

Wonderful view of Castle Rock and steps to the beach! Fully equipped house with all your needs for a short or long stay! We come several times a year and are never disappointed!
