Stayed Jun 28, 2025We had a great week in Forest Glen visiting family and exploring DC. The house was a perfect size for our family. The massage chair in the family room is a great addition, and was welcoming after long days of walking. The proximity to the metro was nice. We drove our car to the park in ride almost every day and only drove into the city once. We were able to host my husband’s parents twice for nice family dinners and the kitchen is well stocked. Overall we had a wonderful experience. Miranda was an attentive and gracious host, every time I had a question.

Stayed Jun 18, 2025The house itself was great! We loved the location and it worked wonderfully for our stay. Well equipped, clean, and enjoyable. Our only real problem was that online and in emails, checkout time was listed as 11:00. However, in the notebook left on the kitchen counter, 11:00 had been scribbled out and replaced with 10:00. That makes a big difference in getting out on time! We decided to go with the 10:00, just to be safe. Good thing we did- the cleaners showed up at 9:40. But overall, a fabulous visit. Would recommend.

Stayed May 20, 2025We really enjoyed learning about the area of Forest Glen. The house itself was nice. The kitchen had everything we needed. We really appreciated the Starbucks coffee! The water was nice and hot and the water pressure was amazing. We enjoyed looking through the booksThe check in/out process was seamless. One strong recommendation I have is the mattresses and pillows in all three bedrooms need to be replaced. They were not comfortable for any of us Thank you :-)

Stayed Apr 18, 2025There's some false advertising - the futon is unusable, disgustingly dusty. Otherwise: The kitchen and three bathrooms are pristine and nicely redone, the a/c works. Sheets and towels are clean and beds comfortable. The rest of the house has old furniture hidden by slipcovers, dusty and rugs that are dirty. The house is close to the highway and you can smell and hear it loudly outside and patio furniture is not appealing. Yuck I was glad to leave.Longer story: The property is advertised as having a useable futon, so I messaged the manager as soon as I booked the property asking for it to be made up. When we arrived it was not made up, and when unfolded the futon, a cloud of dust rose up from it. I gave it a pat and wow, dust. The floor behind the futon dusty with chips of paint from the baseboard. It had original baseboards so I wondered about lead paint chips and dust. The rug under the futon was yuck. There was a beat up dirty vacuum in the kitchen closet that I took upstairs to vacuum the futon and the area around it. When I was done my clothes, hands and hair were covered in dirt. The vacuum had no carpet or floor attachment, only the small attachment for furniture, so I don't know how they're cleaning the rugs. There were no pillows, blankets or sheets for the futon so I messaged the manager, and two maids came and made up the futon. We were only there only two nights so I let my teen sleep there but yuck, all our clothes went straight into the washing machine. Gross.

Stayed Mar 31, 2025We were visiting from Florida and South Carolina. The home was perfect!!! Only .8 miles from the metro station and it had so much room. We came to see the capital and the Smithsonian buildings. We had a hreat time! The owner has a booklet in the home with everything you could want to know. The kitchen and bathrooms looked like they have all been updated. The bedrooms were comfortable and had plenty of room for allbof our stuff. Across the street there is a place that looks like a castle and another that is a pagoda. It felt like a fairytale setting. Lovely home with a great owner. I would recommend stayingvhere.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We loved the warm, welcome, and spacious feel of the home. The many common rooms created spaces for a variety of activities: the sunroom for enjoying the fresh air and private backyard, the large dining room table to gather around for a family meal, the living room overlooking the verdant front yard, the cozy tv/game room for relaxing with friends, and the quiet, upstairs nook for reading a good book. We were busy with family and friends visiting for graduation so there wasn't time to explore the immediate neighborhood, although I would have liked to. However, we availed ourselves of the plentiful stores nearby for the groceries and other supplies we needed. Miranda was very responsive when we had issue with the internet, which was quickly resolved. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place to relax and spend time with family and friends!
