Home Truths:
- Please note that infants are considered part of the total guest count under HOA rules.
- There are 147 steep stairs down to the beach which are dangerous when wet. Groups with children should be especially aware.
- The property is tiered and there are stairs from the parking spot to the home.
- There are no hand railings down the garden steps from the parking area to the front door.
- Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Whidbey Island is home to a naval air base. On a few weekdays each month (and occasionally in the evening), you may hear loud flight training. The Navy does not conduct training on weekends or holidays and typically publishes the schedule one week in advance.

- Large SUVs, trucks, and larger automobiles will not fit in the provided parking spot.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce.     We had a wonderful time staying at your waterfront home. The views of the sunrise over the water each morning were amazing. Your cozy home is conveniently situated on the Island and the perfect location to return to after days spent exploring & adventuring.

    This house had an amazing view of the puget sound. It was also a close drive to Freeland, Langley and Clinton, so it was easy to hop around Whidbey Island. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and the very fancy, retro stove (that was a cool touch).

    The property was lovely and well maintained. It is a bit isolated and you will need a car to do anything other than walk along the beach. The stairs will add years to your life though.

    There was pollen accumulation on the deck/chairs to the point we were unable to comfortably enjoy the deck. There was no hand soap in the upstairs bathroom, the hide-a-bed sheets had a yellow stain, the pizza in the fridge had no expiration date and looked old, the chalkboard had a 'welcome' for a different couple and the overall smell of the house was quite stale/musty. Some of the issues are little and if one or two were present would not be a problem, but comparing the current state to the pictures we saw when purchased we do not feel like it was worth the price we paid. We made the most of our trip and found some nice places nearby to access the beach and eat, but it the state of the house was very unfortunate and is not what you expect when booking a vacation rental. Very disappointed in AvantStay overall and we will most likely be avoiding houses managed by you guys in the future. The lady that assisted was nice but overall didn't want to be dealing with these issues while we were staying at the house.

    We spent the weekend in this hidden gem, full of charm! Beautiful views of the water off the deck with water access (149 steps leading down to be exact). Rooms were inviting and very cozy Gorgeous setting and the perfect jumpoff place to explore the island. Located right by Meerkerk Gardens. One thing to note: the king size bed on a platform is quite high to get in. Communication with owners was excellent! Would love to stay again and highly recommend!

    Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fabulous view home that is peaceful and quiet. Listen to the whooshing of the trees while you relax on the deck or sit inside. The primary bedroom has the best view in the house! Please note the details regarding parking - I strongly advise to arrive during daylight hours. It is definitely a tight fit and may require some maneuvering to fit. This home is close enough to civilization but you will feel worlds away.The home was well stocked and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The space was clean and inviting.The beach is down steep stairs, but it was worth the trek. It was quiet and empty.I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to get away and relax.
