Serenity- Ocean Isle Beach

Nice house; however, we had no heat on the middle floor. Even in heat mode, the HVAC unit only blew cold air.

Let me start off by saying this is a beautiful home directly on the ocean with a small set of dunes to walk over just before hitting the beach. It is truly your backyard, no long deck to track behind the house. The photo of the back deck with swings needs updating, those swings are not there. The house is a nice layout with the bedrooms spaced well and nice bathrooms in almost every bedroom. Now for our issues. When we arrived my guess is the house sat empty prior to our stay. It was clear that they had not come back through for a tidy up. The floors needed to be swept and there was some dead critters we had to take care of. The kitchen was the bigger issue, there was a fruit fly infestation in the kitchen sink. We used vinegar to clean the sink and made a dish soap and vinegar solution alongside a Zevo that we went out and purchased to try and get rid of some, but it was a major nuisance all weekend. The management company did inform us after I pointed out the issue that they had been bad all across the island since the last storm, BUT they could have done more to ensure they were not infesting the home. Additionally 3 of the toilets wouldn’t fill upon flushing, we had to mess with the mechanism inside the tank and the couch in the main living room could use some upholstery covers that can be laundered. It is stained pretty bad. The kitchen drawers desperately need to be cleared out, CLEANED, and reorganized. Overall a good stay but a few things that need to be addressed

This is our fourth year coming to OIB from Las Vegas NV. We have been searching for the perfect beach house and I think we finally found it! We loved the beautiful aesthetic of the house yet it was still cozy and comfortable. It fit our family of fourteen perfectly. We spent most of our time on the beach or the patio. The patio was comfortable with a gorgeous view of the water (even from the inside of the house we had the most amazing views!) and lots of seating and table space. The proximity to the beach could not have been any better which is important to us because that's where we spend all our time. We really appreciated the provided chairs, beach toys, and gear. The downstairs showers were great to clean off sand before going into the house (though a small spray hose attached to the spicket would be even better for cleaning off the porch to better conserve water). With four young children in our group, we loved the good quality highchair and bunk bed rooms. We had intended to use the advertised crib but did not know linens were not provided for it - next time we will know to bring our own. However, the rest of the linens and towels were plentiful and clean. The two refrigerators were absolutely fantastic, we loved having cold drinks downstairs right after returning from the beach. We have already booked for next year and are so excited to return!

The house was amazing and as described. We all appreciated the comfortable spaces and how clean the property was. The kitchen had everything that was needed, including a griddle and crockpot, and there were beach toys and other things to make this day enjoyable. The only suggestions would be to not advertise bikes as only one adult bike was functional. Also, the property management was slow in communication. Did not sleep well the night before departure because I was never sent the detailed information that was supposed to have arrived two days earlier. Also, when I reached out during our stay, I never received a message back. Thankfully, everything else was wonderful And would still recommend this house.

Beautiful and Quiet Location. Clean and well appointed with lovely bathrooms. Deck views and Beachfront access with groomed sand backyard were memorable. Great stay. this was our second trip to the property in a month. Will go again.

The house was great, beachfront was amazing. Updated and looked good. Plenty of space in the bedrooms and the living areas. Close access to the beach was wonderful! The only thing that through us for a loop was having to have all towels cleaned, dried and folded before you left. That is a hard task if you want to take showers in the morning and get out before checkout. We loved having the linens and towels provided but usually, they just have you leave the dirty items for pickup.
