Each bedroom was beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches like sound machines that made our stay even more enjoyable.The kitchen was impressively well-stocked and organized, which made cooking for a big group so much easier. The ocean views from the porches were simply breathtaking — we spent so much time just soaking it all in.The gated pool area was a huge bonus, especially with kids, and we really appreciated the included beach chairs, cart, and cooler — those little conveniences make a big difference.Communication with the host was incredible — they were responsive, helpful, and you can tell they genuinely care about making your stay perfect.We’re already hoping to return next year. Papa’s Porch 2 is just the best accommodations. Such a well appointed VRBO- just exceptional. The porches were amazing. The views of the ocean and the sunrise are phenomenal! This is by far one of the best VRBO accommodations we’ve ever experienced! The VRBO owner was very responsive and so great to work with. Will definitely look forward to returning.

I have been renting at OIB for more than 25 years. I have stayed in nice places and awful places. Papa Porch 2 is by far the best. This place sets the new standard for rentals on OIB. From the quality of the house, to fabulous amenities, to the customer service, this place is awesome!

WOW, this house is incredible! This large new house at 284 W First Street in Ocean Isle Beach, NC sets a new and higher standard for vacation rental properties. During the last 50 years we have rented many vacation houses. This one is the best by far. The owner (R.J.) is also the best. The four floor house has 7 king bedrooms and a four bed bunk room. It fits our 3 generation family of 14 well. The owner of this house paid close attention to every detail during design, construction, and furnishing. The entire house including the very large decks are tastefully furnished. The elevator serves all four floors. Internet speeds were superb in ever room of the house. The bedrooms have TV's. There is an 85 TV in the 4th floor family room and a 75 TV in the 3rd floor family room. The kitchen, on the 4th floor, is incredible! It is stocked better than most home kitchens. There is a walk in pantry. There is seating for up to 19 people for meals. There is also a dining table for 8 on the 4th floor deck. There are special features that added immensely to our stay. The water pressure in the showers was excellent. Some of the showers have dual shower heads including one with a flexible hose. The pool area shower has hot water available. There are two dish washers in the kitchen. The 2nd and 4th floor each have full size washers and dryers. The 4th floor has a large ice maker. There are three refrigerators including one on the first floor.

We were lucky enough to be one of the first renters at this beautiful new house. The house was well designed and extremely well thought out with subtle and overt amenities that improved the vacation and made it luxurious. From the amazing ocean views even though the house is a row back to the outlets in every room having multiple plugs and USB ports. The kitchen was truly the most stocked of any rental that we've had in the past 30 years of trips as a group. The wine/bar area was a fabulous touch including the wine fridge. Three full size fridges made for ample storage plus a standalone ice maker so we were never in need. Ample cookware, storage containers, and table space was present. The ecobee thermostats with remote sensors helped keep the house at a nice temperature even during the heat of the day of mid-summer. The many burner gas grill downstairs by the pool heated so fast I had the grilled meat done before anything else. The outdoor shower is spacious and there is a nearby hose for keeping the feet clean when needed. The pool out back is super small but is cute and was fabulous to use as a plunge pool after a day in the sun at the beach. Our only complaint about the house was that the beach access was a few houses down versus right across the street but the view from the decks made up for it. Multiple beach carts helped with the short journey to the beach. The owner was extremely polite and answered all messages promptly. What a delightful house and vacay

The OIB house has 4 levels with 8 bedrooms. It fit our family of 18 very well. There was plenty of space including 2 living rooms. The second living room was great for our 7 children that stayed on the same floor. The house and kitchen is well stocked with everything you need including beach chairs along with a wagon and cart to use transporting them to the beach. There was a small crib for our youngest child as well as games for the children. The best thing about our stay was the deck on the top floor. The views of the ocean and sunrise was to die for. The beds were very comfortable and the 7 king beds with the 2 full bunk beds provided great sleeping for children. If you rent this beautiful home you will not be dissatisfied. Lastly, about 1/2 mile is the beach club that is provided with the house that has a larger pool with a tikibar. The host R.J. and Nikki were fantastic to work with and respond very quickly to any questions. They were very welcoming and proud of their house. Papa's Porch 2 was the perfect location for our long weekend. The house was clean and well equipped for our large group. We spent a lot of time on the huge porch and the view is gorgeous. RJ answered any questions we had quickly. Th pool is a bit small but other than that everything was amazing!!
