We enjoy the solitude and comfort of this home!
This house was perfect! We were visiting our kids at Penn State on a football weekend. Loved the location and the amenities, house was very clean, and such a peaaceful place to come back to at the end of the day. Loved gathering around the firepit at night. Would love to come back again!
The Mountain House was wonderful. The house was clean and very nice. It was a great location for our Penn State football game.
Visited Penn State for college tour and needed a place close to the school . Unfortunately, we visited on a busy weekend, making it difficult to find quality accommodation. I decided to look for areas that were right outside State College town and found a hidden gem . Beautiful property with fantastic views of lush green mountains and trees surrounding the property. The owners were very accommodating and easy to communicate with throughput the entire stay .
2nd time at Jeff and Amy's mountain getaway. Terrific home and experience, already planning next stay!
Love this rental. Communication is good. Home is spotless. The location is remote. A beauty star filled sky at night. Thank you for a wonderful time.
Stayed Friday and Saturday evenings, in town for the Penn State game. The house was everything that was advertised. The owners were great and provided clear instructions and guidance. The house is beautiful, and the property is well maintained. The house had everything we needed, the kitchen is well equipped. We would definitely stay there again.
What a great weekend! Not only did my buddies and I get to spend time with our daughters, but we also got to stay at this fabulous secluded hideaway!! What a beautiful location and wonderful house. The house was extremely clean and the location couldn’t have been better! Wonderful view from the living room and just an all-in-all gorgeous setting.
Our stay was truly wonderful! Communication with the owners was great, and you can feel their genuine hospitality without ever meeting them in person! Upon arrival, there was a welcome basket with homemade baked goods! The house was super clean and beds were really comfortable! Although we were in town for a football weekend and not at the house much, the views and outdoor experience would have been awesome to enjoy if we had more time. Also, the basement was such a surprise - filled with all kinds of tabletop games! We would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed our weekend stay. The home is lovely, very clean and well equipped. Definitely a rural location. Beautiful night sky.
My husband and I stayed at this lovely property when we came up to visit our freshman son at PSU and take in a football game. Came with my 90-year-old parents and teenage daughter and friend. Place is immaculate, peaceful, and a true retreat in the mountains. The owners were so communicative and helpful in suggestions for dining, navigating the area and flexible with a later check out so the boys could spend a little more time with their dad and pop-pop. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!
Located just about 30 minutes from State College, this was a perfect spot for getting in and out of PSU for a football game! Would have loved to have more time to explore the property and relax at the house. Great communication from the owners and will definitely be bookmarking this for future trips! :-)
The home is located in the country away from the hustle and bustle. We were in the area to drop our daughter off for her freshman year at Penn State, State College campus. A nice 25 minute drive away is the house. Well maintained and nicely decorated and just what we needed. Hosts were responsive on the minor Wi-Fi issue we had. We’ll definitely come back!
Thank you for a great graduation weekend at your home. It was the perfect spot for a family gathering to celebrate our son’s graduation from PSU. The kitchen is well equipped and the home has a comfortable open layout for folks to gather. And the location is absolutely gorgeous!
We couldn't have had a better time! I had a meeting at Shavers Creek which is only about 15-20 minutes away, and then we went to Penn State for the Blue White game. Just an outstanding weekend at a wonderful and secluded property. The hosts are very accommodating and communicative. The property is very well-kept, comfortable, and clean. Top notch experience!
