Stayed Jul 30, 2023The pictures of this rental were nothing like what i was shown, it was unsafe for my children, I contacted the Vacasa company and nobody got back to me about any of the conditions I walked into and I even sent them photos showing I how horrible and deceiving the rental was.

Stayed Dec 24, 2025We had a great stay at this mountain house in Maine. The home was spacious, clean, and warm, with the comfort of having the entire house to ourselves. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus, especially in the peaceful setting at the end of a dead-end road. Very quiet, private, and relaxing—we would happily stay here again.

Stayed Dec 12, 2025This is a great rental home, spacious, and great for groups. Just some quirks, there are lady bugs and stink bugs everywhere inside the house…both alive and dead. We rented during the second week of December just for reference. I really don’t care, but a few of my family members hate bugs and we’re not thrilled. The hot tub was awesome, the downstairs is perfect for kids/adult kids. Just bring your own board games/cards. I Would go again, but probably not my bug conscious family members lol.

Stayed Nov 25, 2025At first glance, this looks like an ideal vacation spot even if you don’t ski! Beautiful views from every window, spacious and lots to do from pool and ping pong tables to piano and hot tub! However, when it comes to comfort, it was a bit lacking: broken bed in first floor master, missing tv in upstairs master, broken recliner in living room, cracked bathroom basin. We were here for the Thanksgiving holiday so the stove top and oven were very important. The stove top was covered in some dirty cleaning paste and the grills on the stove top did not fit the stove. The burners also had mis sized metal toppers which caused 6 inch flames on high. The oven drawer was falling on the floor. It made it through dinner with some elbow grease and fine balancing of pots on the stove top. The beds were all extremely uncomfortable and the basement floor bedroom smelled like wet dogs. The hot tub needed to be cleaned twice because the first time there was too much chemicals put in. The management company did send someone out to fix that. Also, the amount and type of beds available is not accurately listed. 2 of the queen beds are actually full size pull out couches and the bed in the second floor master is also only full size. The linens and towels were plentiful and when it comes down to it, my entire family had a fantastic trip because we got the chance to be away from the world and enjoy each others time in a place that was fun and extremely beautiful. Just needs a bit of TLC

Stayed Oct 3, 2025Beautiful but some items not acceptable. Dirty towels hanging on back of one bathroom door when we checked in, no ice in freezer and ice maker didn’t work, a hand towel rack fell off of bathroom wall, lots of ladybugs all over windows, and a storage bench hinged lid fell off when lifted. Kids loved the entertainment space in basement, and rooms were comfy and hot tub very nice.

Stayed Aug 9, 2025ReviewBeautiful, comfortable spacious house in nature at the end of long uphill unpaved driveway. We stayed in August as a family of seven (and two dogs) and appreciated the space. The most comfortable (and firm) bed is in the masters bedroom on the ground floor. House is not accessible to wheelchairs at all.Impeccable sheets and numerous bath and hot tub towels were provided, as well as paper towels, cleaning products and sponges for the kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel as well as toilet paper were also provided, but not a single tissue: we had to buy a box ourselves. Now, everything in the other reviews about the living and dining room being so hot in summer is true, as there is no central AC (only single room units in each bedroom), then the living room ceiling fan apparently still does not work, and there are no curtains or blinds there. In the afternoon, we had to block dining room windows with boards of isolating material found in a basement closet, and living room bay windows with quilts, while running two standing fans outside upstairs bedroom doors trying to blow the air into the hallway above the living room. Then we had an issue with the electric « smart » lock, which died (batteries did) on the second day, locking everyone out except one person who was luckily napping inside and let the rest in. We spent hours on the phone with various Vacasa staff who did their best, but were long to persuade that the lock had actua

Stayed Mar 29, 2025Our stay at Thunder Ridge was incredible! The property was very spacious and easily accommodated our group of ten, providing plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. Everything was clean upon arrival, and we appreciated how well-stocked the kitchen was with cookware, dishes, and extra essentials that made our stay even more comfortable. The views were breathtaking, especially from the hot tub, where we could take in the mountain scenery. The secluded location made it feel like a true retreat, offering the perfect balance of relaxation and privacy. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with amazing views and all the comforts of home, Thunder Ridge is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Beautiful view and a nice sized home. I see the listing has been updated now, but it did not comfortably fit 16 when the max occupancy was listed at 18. There is missing floorboard in the kitchen where they just used tape to highlight the missing plank. The downstairs bedroom is supposed to sleep 8 and it is inhabitable - smells like the inside of a dirty ski boot. Even with airflow, there is no getting rid of the smell. Kitchen only supplies 4 coffee mugs so good luck in the morning if you have a large crew and all are coffee drinkers. Kitchen utensils are sparce. But, overall, we did fine. Plenty of pots and pans, beautiful view. Hot tub was great and clean. I would recommend this home for a group no larger than 8 unless you’re okay to sleep on couches.

Stayed Sep 6, 2024Overall we had a great stay at Thunder Ridge. There was a lot of space for 7 of us and we loved the layout of the house. It was clean and had everything we needed. Only reason we wouldn't give 5 stars is that there were a few lights and tvs that weren't working properly, and the road was in VERY rough shape. It felt like maybe the house just needed a little bit more TLC.

Stayed Apr 19, 2024If you are looking to enjoy some quality time with friends/family, this place is excellent! We stayed for a weekend bachelor/bachelorette party with 14 people. Beautiful views, near trails (check out the falls near by), plenty of things to do while there, even for those who don’t ski! We played pong, pool, karaoked, enjoyed the hot tub even spent some time near the fire. All in all a great place to book!
