We had my bachelorette weekend at Deep Woods Escape and it could not have been more perfect for our group of 18 girls! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by how incredibly clean and well-kept the house was. It truly had everything you could possibly imagine. Every cooking necessity was there, plenty of towels for the showers and pool, tons of baby items, super comfy beds, bathroom supplies, the list is endless! You can tell so much intention went into the design and layout. The multiple exterior doors made it so easy for everyone to flow in and out between the house, pool, hot tub, sand volleyball court, and outdoor spaces. We especially loved the outdoor shower, the outdoor kitchen, the industrial ice maker (a lifesaver for a big group!), and the fact that there was more than enough fridge space for all of us. Even better, everything was clearly labeled, which made it so easy to stay organized all weekend. This home is truly made for large groups and special celebrations. It was the perfect place to make memories, relax, and celebrate. We are already talking about coming back for a couples trip! Highly, highly recommend!

All we can say is WOW! What a fun home away from home. We had so much fun! Pool, hot tub, pool table, ping pong, fire pit but the most fun was the huge kitchen table we were able to sit as a family. It was a perfect place for our big family to celebrate our son’s wedding!

Bauman’s Deep Woods Escape is a wonderful resort-style home in beautiful surroundings. The five bedrooms were a perfect fit for our two families (4 adults, 8 children ranging from 4-18). The pool, hot tub, volleyball court, horseshoes, fire pit, ping pong table and pool table were big hits all around. Emma is a thoughtful host, easy to communicate with, flexible, friendly, and professional. We are so sad to leave!

The home & property are beautiful and very well equipped for large groups. We secured this property in March 2025 for the week of NYE 2026. Upon booking, the pool was advertised, and confirmed by the owner, to have a heated & enclosed pool during the winter months. Our only issue was the accuracy of the listing & communication regarding the pool. We rented this house solely because of the heated & enclosed pool. Unfortunately, upon arrival we found a winterized, non-functioning & non-enclosed pool. It was unusable, and it was not communicated with us prior to arrival despite my asking multiple times the status & temperature of the pool. It was an unfortunate surprise that tainted the excitement of our arrival. The owner visited us and offered a 100% refund based on the mis-communication & our disappointment. It was a very generous offer & it was appreciated; however, we only accepted a 50% refund because we still stayed for a week & enjoyed what this beautiful home & property had to offer. Despite the rough start our group still enjoyed the week together and would consider renting this property again. The beds, bathrooms, recreational amenities, indoor/outdoor kitchen, & sound system were all on point. The home was very clean & the check-in/-out process was very easy. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We sincerely appreciated her hospitality & generosity when correcting the communication mistake. I would absolutely recommend this property.

This is the second family Christmas we have had an opportunity to enjoy at the Deep Woods Escape. Emma goes out above and beyond to assure a prefect environment for our celebration! The decorations are spot on the atmosphere makes it feel very much like home. Thanks again for such a fantastic experience!

I have rented many homes since the 1990’s and this is easily one of the best. If your looking for a place that can handle many people, lots of space and plenty of room to play, have fun, and cook this is the property you need to consider. It has three kitchens. The main kitchen has more than the customary cooking utensils and gadgets including multiple ovens, mixers, toaster, crock pots, baking supplies, along with all the little gadgets to make preparing and serving a meal for a large group of people quite easy. It is also very secluded so you can stay up late and the pool and hot tub is open 24 hours a day.

Emma was a communicative host and provided all necessary information about he house, its rules, and components. The backyard consisted of a volleyball court, an outdoor bar, a hot tub, excellent seating space, horseshoe, and a bathroom. The inside space comfortably fit 23 people with the three provided rollout beds. Downstairs, the bar and recreational activities were a great time. The upstairs kitchen was very organized and the dining area was very spacious. Would definitely rent out this property again.

This was our fifth year renting from Emma, and our first time staying at the Deep Woods Escape — and all we can say is WOW. This home is nothing short of incredible. For the first time, we had a dining table large enough to fit our whole group, which made mealtimes feel extra special. The dorm room in the basement was a huge hit with our family. Everyone who stayed there raved about how cozy and private it felt — once you were in your nook, it was easy to forget anyone else was even in the room. It was the perfect solution to finally ditch the air mattresses! The outdoor space was equally amazing. We gathered around the fire pit every single night, even in the middle of July — it was such a memorable way to end each day. Emma always thinks of everything, and this house was no exception. From a well-stocked kitchen to an abundance of pool towels, we had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun getaway. With daily (and nightly!) swimming, those towels were key! All in all, another fantastic vacation thanks to Emma. We can’t wait to come back!

We were an extended family (infants to adults) getting together for a long weekend. The house is exactly as described and as the pictures show. The absolute best VRBO home we have ever stayed in! The house includes everything you may ever need and would have to go buy at other rentals. The space was ample and we were all able to sleep comfortably in a bed or a rollaway bed provided. There are plenty of towels for the pool and hot tub. We spent so much time outside in the back yard swimming, grilling and sitting around the fire in the evenings enjoying smores. This is the best private resort for total relaxation! We will be back!

We stayed with a group of friends over the superbowl weekend. We have stayed here before and we loved it just as much the second time as we did the first. The owner makes things easy for those who stay from her communication with you to the checkout process. The amenities are amazing. We had a great time and we will stay again!

This house was beyond expectations. The host was so attentive when needed and the little details made us feel so welcomed. We had a group of 16 ages ranging 9 to old.. when we entered the home there was a snack tray, s'mores box, and Shirley temples for our group. Dance party music was playing on the speakers throughout the house. ( This was targeted towards our kid/teens which we requested) The kids had their own bunk room that holds 9. The house was so clean and has everything you can imagine. We used every square foot of this house. The hot tub and pool were used from sun up to sun down. We had pool tournaments and ping pong tournament. We had a warm fire and s'mores on the outdoor patio. We were all able to cook and share meals sitting at the same table together. We rang in the new year all gathered in the huge living room. We could not have asked for a better time.
