Lovely location, clean, quiet and well stocked for your stay….stars at night are amazing!! Right at 30 mins to Shenandoah Swift Gap entrance and about 45 mins from Old Rag. Many have mentioned the road up…tricky in a couple of spots but slow and steady wins the race

House was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. House is located in a very quiet area but is a bit difficult of a drive.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property at the top of the mountain, it was so peaceful and beautiful. We loved (and I mean it) the road up to the house. And is really close to Shenandoah National Park. Definitely a place we would love to visit again!

The photos on line do not do this property justice. The view of the mountains during the day and the stars at night is spectacular. The cottage and grounds were clean and well kept. Bedrooms were quite spacious. Perfect location for a relaxing stay and exploring the Shenandoahs. The mountain road to access the cabin may be challenging for smaller cars. 4X4 probably preferred for inexperienced drivers. Overall, highly recommended.

The road leading up to the house is mostly a dirt road, sometimes steep, but our truck made it up just fine in 2 wheel drive. The house is situated on top of the mountain with a glorious view out front! Plenty of space in the yard if you had kids who wanted to run around. The front porch is great for sitting and taking in the view. The house itself has everything necessary for a pleasant stay - TV, kitchen, couch, nice beds, great hot water. I was delighted with the whole experience and hope to stay there again.

Had a great stay at this property! Plenty of comforts to make it a home away from home. A full kitchen with utensils, pots, and pans. Grill and fire pit if the weather cooperates. Sunrise and sunset from the property are lovely and coming up over the hill on the driveway was always charming.

This was a lovely, quiet place to get away for a few nights. There are neighbors a few hundred yards away but from the front porch it's easy to see nothing but the surrounding woods and a nice view of the mountainside. The home is well-stocked including pots, pans, and knives in the kitchen, a washer and dryer, heating and cooling, and a stack of firewood. The road leading up to the property is steep and gravelly which may be tough if it's icy or snowy.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay immensely. We spent the days visiting the local wineries and the evenings relaxing in front of the huge firepit gazing at the stars. The mountain views and fall foliage were spectacular. The check-in process was smooth and Brian quickly responded to any questions. Cant wait to return again in the future!

My husband and I had gone to the area to hike old rag to attend a wedding nearby. This perfect little cabin was right between old rag and Lydia Mountain Lodge. It was clean. The view was beautiful. And the bed was super comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked And coffee on the porch in the mornings was perfect.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay here, and it was exactly what we had expected and needed. It was close enough to Shenandoah to go hiking for the day, and the views even just outside the house were beautiful.

Good launching point for trips to Shenandoah. Cabin was clean and as described. Host was helpful and responsive. Would definitely recommend and will book again if and when we’re back in the area.
