Stayed Nov 13, 2025We ended up staying in the cabin, 3 Bears. They are all kind of the same footprint. The cabin had plenty of room for my family of seven, and we didn't feel cramped at all. They utilize every inch of the cabin flawlessly. Lydia Mountains was a refreshing getaway for my family and me. Quiet, and the cabins are not on top of each other. The main lodge looked cozy, and the food was good. The only grip I have is that they serve Steakumm-style meat and call it a brisket sandwich. The other meals were good, and the staff was friendly. I would stay there again. It's right in the middle of getting to anywhere you want to go. 25 mins to Harrisonburg and 20 mins back to Ruckersville. (major shopping area, walmart)

Stayed Oct 17, 2025Family stayed here to attend a wedding. Overall the place was in a great location and the house itself had all the amenities as described and they were all in good working order. Beautiful property and the house itself was comfortable and inviting. A few suggested areas to help ensure future guest enjoy their stay: - instructions for the TV and a new remote paired with the TV - doing a second sweep for trash prior to incoming guest arrival (e.g. making sure the outside can is emptied, cigarette butts removed) - would recommend replacing the coffee maker with one that has an automatic shutoff - putting in reflectors or pathway lights marking the driveway would be helpful, as would widening it to allow vehicles to more easily turn around - pathway lights leading from the patio to the fire pit - a site map for the entire Lydia Mountain Lodge property/access roads, as well as better signage throughout the property We would stay here again in a heartbeat. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed Mar 28, 2025This was our 4th rental on the mountain and it was a great stay as always! Only tips for this property would be that the bedroom door in the bunk room cannot close (big is too big) so don't expect privacy in this room. And as is true for all cabins, PLEASE turn the hot tub on before the guests arrive! It's such a bummer not to be able to use the hot tub the first night. Our kids insisted on using it anyway and they came out with blue lips!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great little cabin. Well equipped. We had a lovely time. Basement bedroom could use a space heater because that floor was chilly.
